This is a small independent auto dealer that I found searching for my Lexus RX 350. I have been doing research on a used RX 350 for a few months when I found Ben Auto Haus. I was pleasantly please when I drove over 30 miles and pulled into the lot. The car I saw on the Internet was beautiful and Henry and I went for a text drive. The price was immediately negotiated to my liking and carfax plus DMV history was presented with no issue. The price was the lowest around and Paul disclosed to me that the previous owner had a repair done on the unibody. He was honest and upfront that it was repaired and painted ( quarter panel, hood, door). No problem for me because you couldn't tell. The vehicle had only 11,000 miles on it. Prior to walking into Ben Auto Haus, I had armed myself with everything I needed to know about buying a used car. I studied Edmunds.com on how to handle the used car salesmen, the finance manager, etc. I looked at dozens of listings on cars.com and autotrader.com. I even researched each dealer on those listings. Just about every dealer I read on Yelp averaged 1 or 2 stars, with complaints such as raising the listed price by as much as $2k, adding hidden fees, and poor overall customer service. But then I saw Ben Auto Haus which had a 4 star average. At the time, there were only 3 reviews and the lone 1 star review was written by a guy obviously new to buying a used car. The other 2 reviewers gave very high praise. Still, I was skeptical and made sure I was ready to confront this dealership. After all, it's a used car dealership - those three words, when put together cause shivers down my back, similar to how I feel when I visit the dentist. So I brought my pre-approved loan from my credit union, and printouts of two cars I wanted to see, and marched over to Ben Auto Haus with determination and conviction. To my surprise, it was a simple corner lot - no ballons, flags or banners, no cheesy air dancers or a giant inflatable gorilla on the roof wearing a stars and stripes top hat. Just a sign on the corner with the name of the dealership and its phone number. The lone salesman didn't immediately come and greet me either. I was allowed to look over the cars on display and let me browse at my leisure. Only when I walked over toward the office did he approach me. When I asked to look at the two cars that I printed out, he grabbed the keys, turned on the engines and stepped back, letting me do my own walkthrough. He only spoke when I had any questions. The buying process was just as easy, though I was fully prepared for any surprises (read: hidden fees). There were none - just the expected Sales Tax and Title. I repeat, no hidden fees. I even haggled the price down a few hundred bucks without any back-and-forth. I was in and out of there in about half an hour, and came out a very satisfied customer with a great vehicle. I definitely will look at this dealer's inventory first when shopping for another used car. Oh yeah, one final detail about their "the customer comes first" attitude: the salesman noticed the battery was very low (apparently the lights were left on overnight), so he replaced it with a new battery, free of charge. I purchased a Lexus LS460L from them in April. They are low key and not the high pressure sales type which I appreciate. I asked whether the car has been repainted. Instead of saying no because CarFax says so, like most used car salesman would, they just said it's likely when I pointed out some area. At least the car has no damage due to collisions. I did a PPI by a certified mechanic and got a clean bill of health prior to the purchase. Long story short, that same car was $3k more from a nearby Lexus dealer before they auctioned it off 2 weeks prior to my purchase. I just happened to find Ben autohaus ad on Craigslist after I decided not to buy it from the dealer. My experience there was very positive. Buying a used car is the same everywhere. I purchased a 2000 Celica for $8600 out the door. It was overpriced, but I couldn't afford to not have a car. It had transmission problems, and that the bearings needed to be replaced. I test drove the car with my mechanic and he idendified the sound (and some other small problems). The dealship agreed to repair ALL problems before I buy it. After the weekend they called me and said it was fixed and ready. I took there word for it, and I bought it without re-test driving. THEY LITERALLY DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING. I was driving to school the next day when the car stalled on the freeway! Now I don't have a car and I can't go to school. Luckily it was under a 30-day warranty, and after I brought the car back AGAIN, they agreed to fix the real problems AGAIN. Finally they managed to fix the car to a safe and acceptable condition (not for long). Unfortunentely they only fixed the car well enough for it to work until the warranty expired. After 30 days went by, the engine threw a rod, rendering the engine totaled, and the car un-driveable AGAIN. They deliberately sold me a dangerous, broken lemon. I have been talking with the Better Business Bureau, and I'm ready to sue them over this scam. They are DISHONEST, LIARS, SCAMMERS!!! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Purchased a 2012 Toyota Camry in great shape with low miles about a week ago. They have a good selection of used cars with low miles, it looks like they dont bother with older cars with 100k miles on them. They have a really laid back sales approach they pretty much ask you what car you want to see, hand you the keys and even let you test drive it by yourself. The salesman leaves you alone and of you have any questions he will answer them. I believe a got a good deal was able to haggle down the price a couple hundred. I even went back about 4 days later after purchase and complained about my 2 front tires being worn out significantly more than the rear ones so the manager/owner switched them out for me no problem. Aside from the great deal we were given, they were willing to negotiate the lowest APR possible for a used car with the bank they work with because of the excellent relationship they maintain. We had initially accepted a slightly higher APR but we were thrilled when the dealer rep called us to come in and sign some papers because he had gotten us a lower APR. Any other dealer wouldn't have gone above and beyond to help a customer given the fact that the deal was settled and they were not going to get any more or less money out of helping us. I just went in today to check out their rsx type s They are very friendly but they really don't know very much about the cars they had, I actually had a pretty funny expierience, one guy comes out ,doesn't ask questions, just hands me the keys and let's me do my thing. Car was great in performance ,don't gett me wrong .but it was just funny how they thought they knew what they were talking about when they were showing me the car after(while checking exterior) the car has a body kit that is obviously not stock,he tells me its original stock.I asked him if they did the 90k service on it since it was at 90 thousand miles, they said yea,I asked for proof and they said they don't have any, the funniest part was when I asked him when they last time they changed the timing belt and he told me they "changed it 20k miles ago ,that it doesn't have a timing belt but has a timing chain, and it lasts forever"..???? Fraud and misrepresentation.. These guys sell cars with damage that has been poorly repaired. They will present you clean Carfax. Then 3-4 months later that Carfax will no longer be clean. Vehicle purchased had aftermarket (Taiwanese) front fender with terrible fitment, door severely damaged and repaired poorly, terrible paint work, frame damage etc... Bought a 2013 Mercedes Benz C250 at this dealership last year, come to find out that it has a BRANDED TITLE due to structural damage which appeared on the car fax AFTER I bought the vehicle. I tried several times to contact the dealership to get a copy of my paperwork and they ignore my phone calls due to the fact that they have my number on their caller ID. Needed a cheaper but reliable car for my newly licensed daughter. Ben Auto Haus had a surprisingly large selection of used cars - mostly Toyota and Lexus. They let us go on test drives by ourselves and the purchase process was very easy. Paul was up front with the Carfax and and got the Toyota recall issues fixed at the Toyota dealer very quickly. I only wish they had provided the missing programmable key before the sale - that was a bit of a pain to replace afterward. I bought a used clean titled car almost two months ago. I am very disappointed this place because of few reason and I don't want give even one star. First of all, I ask for discount for this car. After Few times back and forth call,he said okay $50 discount. But after bought the car when I get home and check one more time the documents clearly, actually they added $50 on something document preparation...or whatever they shouldn't charge. They cheated. Second, they said this car is no accident.
