Great place! We found a really decent car, the employees and owner were very helpful, courteous and transparent about the process.

This car lot doesnt fix their cars they erase codes. After I purchase my truck with no engine light on the dash, drove for a few days then the light came on I took it back they erased the code and said it was fixed! Erasing codes is illega! especially if they're giving you an inspection sticker after they give you the car . Take your mechanic and your code reader before purchase! I drove my car for a month and had it for 8 months or so. It looks nice however gotta put a lot money into it!! Sad but true!! I asked for loaner and got no help! read more

bought a BMW here. car is nice on the outside but mechanical wise it is shot. took it to a BMW dealership and got a 5800.00 report with pictures of all the problems to have fixed. broken strut arm-shaft n seal leaks oil-brake rotors shot ECT. their mechanic is a duct tape and chewing gum kind of mechanic. Don't be a dumb ass like me and buy a car here without taking it to a reputable mechanic to have it checked out first. Trying to save some others from following in my footsteps. read more

Bought a 2016 mini cooper cash. Expected repairs. New it needed tires. The water pump and the timing chan are both shot. $5000 worth of work. I've had the car two weeks and only driven it once. Now I won't have it for another week. I came with a toddler and they still sold me this trash car not caring about our safety or our wallet. Dishonest crooks. read more

Customer Service was poor and they are rude. Unable to professionally communicate over the phone and in person. They do not keep track of what they do/say and do not recall anything they say they will do and when brought up they act as if they never said that just so it's more convenient to them. I.E my husband bought his truck there and they gave us the option to SHIP his License plates to our address or pick them up and we decided shipped and they gave us a timeframe (roughly about a month) we waited past a month. When we contacted them and brought it up they didn't even want to give us a week for a new temp plate (DUE TO IT BEING EXPIRED) IOT drive to their location when we're able to go after work or when we're off (we are 2hrs away) They came up with rules and procedures all of a sudden. read more

Paid cash for a vehicle , 2 days later check engine light is on. I'm sure it was turned off, because I have drove probably the amount that it takes to re-registered. I have another vehicle so this car barely seen the road for a check engine light to be on two days later. Everyone there is cool , but cool means nothing when it's your money. Best bet is to go to the Auction yourself and save the market up and deceit, I will just sell if it's too much hassle and be honest with the buyer. I will not be back. read more

do not buy a car from them! unprofessional people rude and sell bad cars!! run do not walk

DO NOT GO HERE!!! if I could give this place 0 stars I would. This dealership needs to be shut down and checked by the BBB. Run by crooks who sell LEMONS at cheap prices to attract desperate buyers. Trust me when I tell you that whatever money you THINK you are going to save buying a car here will end up coming back x10 later down the road in repairs or leave you SOL without a car at all. I bought a 2004 Ford focus from this place that completely broke down 3 months later, I had the transmission fixed 3 times by their personal "mechanic". Which in the end resulted in me putting over $3,000 into at 2,000 car. I tried to return the car to let them know how much trouble it had caused me and they REFUSED to take it back. I ended up driving the car to their lot and literally leaving it there with the keys and paperwork. They took me to court and sued me which resulted in a HORRIBLE hit to my credit when I was only 18!! These people are EVIL. Avoid at all cost!!! read more

I was looking to pay off a used car for my daughter whom is a full time college student. Understanding that buying a used car comes with risks, I asked for a vehicle no less than 2015, and less than 100,000 miles. I always ask for a printed copy of the Carfax, & I take pictures of the VIN # from the vehicles dashboard AND the drivers side on the door frame to make sure they all match AND I get the accurate Carfax & inspection letter for the vehicle I inquired about. It was a frustrating process as there was a lot of inconsistency with the information we were given about the vehicles. 2 out of 7 used dealers in the Austin area were the only ones that were ethical, professional, patient and not deceitful. A couple locations gave me the Carfax & inspection for the same vehicle make & model, but different VIN number from the vehicle we were inquiring about, super shady! This is 1 of the 2 good places, so far, still waiting on Sam to keep his word on 3 items missing from the vehicle we bought from here. Review...To be continued... We inquired on a 2015 Ford Focus at this location, with the help of Sam whom was very helpful & patient up to a point. I had asked about the print out of the inspection for the vehicle we test drove & looked at. I got the Carfax but not the inspection. My daughter liked the car. It had just 1 owner, regular maintenance at the Ford dealership (a plus) AND no accidents reported, & 90,000 miles. Again, understand risk for buying a used car, it's up to the customer (me) to look at red flags, and we have an obligation to ask as any questions & get full understanding of what we are buying. The owner got a little impatient the following day we went back, & again I asked for the inspection so we can purchase the vehicle. After a heated discussion I got him to understand I just wanted a printed sheet of the last inspection, & finally he provided it. The oil was dirty & needed to be changed, he changed it for us. There was a crack on the back driver side light (red) cover, Sam said he would order it to replace it. The jack was missing from the spare tire, he said he would also provide one, and the cover/cap of the windshield fluid container was missing, he also said he would replace it. He said they will call us once it arrived in 3-5 days. It's been 16 days, my daughter called him today & we are waiting on him to return her call. When the owner/sales man tells you "I give you my word, I stand by my word that I will make sure you are taken cared off", you have to be in alert to see if he'll own up to his word as those are bold words to use. I will update a new review once we receive the parts we were promised by Sam, to say if I do recommend this location for keeping their word. Now, as far as the car, it's been running great so far these 2 weeks, my daughter is happy with it, & so am I so far. Keeping in mind, I as the consume need to do the work & know what to look out for, & car sales men/owners need to be ethical, professional, respectful of the customers & stand behind their products, & word, that's what we review on, & pay for. read more

He said that they don't check anything on the cars they resale. Well, I plug my obd2 tool and there we go. The timing chain is bad. Common problem on those. But does he wants to know about this?! NO! Austinite Auto Sales - Great buy - Car Dealers Near Me - Austin, Texas

I bought a clean low miles old mini cooper here in pretty good shape. I am pleased with the car, the service and the price. The owners of the lot Sam and Anne were were very friendly and professional and patiently allowed me to spend over 4 hours driving and examining the car. no attempt had been made to gloss over or hide the kind of defects a 15 year old car will have; I appreciated that too. Nearly a month later I am pleased and convinced I got a better than good deal and excellent service. While I have bought many private party used cars in my 55 years and do not usually recommend car lots (ever) Anne and Sam, the owners, have my confidence and I recommend them at Austinite Motors. C. Beware. Avoid this business. I helped a disabled girl buy a car here and they used her for leverage to sell the vehicle she was buying, and had already insured and processed the paperwork on, to get more money from someone else. They then tried to sell her a crap vehicle she didn't want instead, and literally left her heartbroken and with a 120 dollar insurance money loss. A month later she still has not found another one and their promises to help remedy the situation were empty. Go elsewhere. These people don't deserve your business. Taking advantage of the disabled is disgusting. read more

The WORST!!! I didn't even buy a car and my experience suuuuucked! Still shaken from shock of it all. They DO NOT stay late. They DO NOT appreciate you taking their cars to off site professions without notifying them... even if you didn't know that you had to ask. I test drove Two vehicles without ID or dealer plates... illegal... but my fault bc i didnt ask...???... First... a BUICK with some serious body damage, a drivers side seat belt that doesn't latch, and four low flat tires on an empty tank. I put 5 gals in the tank, and drove it right back to dealer to have tires filled upon noticing. I thought the tires might be the reason the suspension/alignment light was on, but when it didn't turn off I was told it's bc I put it in 4wheel drive. Even IF it is a 4whl drive light then why is a wrench lit up beside it? Still maybe the car is great deal at $2500, Just not the safe family car as listed on Craigslist. So I let it go & decide to test the Santa Fe. Let's preface by stating that I closed MY shop and drove an hour to be there after they replied at Noon to a text I sent at 8:35am and then 9:45am. I left my Job at 1 and got to dealership approx 2:30. Traffic and toll roads. The Santa Fe: I drove off the lot with another really low tire. Tire Light on... fuel light on again in another car. Sigh. I go to a different fuel station add 5 gals and then lose 2'quarters to dead air compressor. Eff it, we'll see how rolls. It's a nice ride, for a good price. If there is nothing major then I can buy and get it fixed by my local guy. So I go a little further but avoid opening it up on a highway. I stop at another fuel station to put air in tires and I CHECK under hood. Because that is what you do when you buy a used car that you're interested in. Side note::: What is wrong with Air compressors at fuel stations in North ATX?!? I lost another two quarters, but everything else looked pretty good. I'm interested bc I'm desperate for a small SUV. It's 3:30 (30 mins til they close) and I'm returning from Anderson lane, it's not that far. I smell burning oil but think it might be city traffic. I'm paranoid tho. Oooh there's Galaxy Auto. Let me be nice and get some air in the tire... while also ensuring Im safe. I also ask if they Can check under hood. It looked fine to me but I am smelling oil. Sure, they can do quick inspection for $45. Sweet! I was seriously interested in buying the vehicle. Why else would I spend that $45?!? It's 3 mins til 4pm, their closing time on a Wed! But whatevs... I get texts asking where I'm at bc they're about to close. I tell them exactly where I'm at. I'm then told that I was supposed to let them know if I was going to take it for outside inspection so they could get ID and sign ppwk. I can understand that... so I send my Id and insurance info and feel bad about being behind time. But i figd it'd be okay if they were going to make the sale. And they were. 2007 Santa Fe with 107k miles for $4950 is a good deal even if it has had little maintenance with worn timing belt, leaking valves (hence smell) that could worsen and cause engine fire if not cleaned and corrected, a cheap battery and something else. They can go to galaxy and see what they found... if they care enough. I drove back, 15 mins to go 5 miles. Im greeted by dealer mean mugging me with his feet on the desk. His body language def tells me he is more interested in making me feel like crap instead of spending any extra time making a sale. I hand him keys and say nothing until I walk out the door. I don't feel sorry for being late anymore. I whipped my head around and said I guess he didn't want to sell that car today. I make it to my car across the street at 4:15 and he starts yelling at me from across the street about the time and ppwk. He shouts "You never asked!?!" Me: About?!? Him: Inspection! I shout "I didn't know I was supposed to!?! ". And pointlessly explain that inspection was to ensure my safety while driving. I tell him what was wrong with oil and said youre welcome. that I was going to buy vehicle until his attitude. He then shouted "the right person will buy it" Sure... plenty of people don't care about themselves. But I do hope they do care about themselves & their families. WORST EVER crying read more

I bought a 2005 Saturn Vue here on August 1. One of the selling points was that a brand new A/C compressor had been installed by their mechanic, which was also a reason they would not come down on the price. I agreed to their asking price, had to borrow some money, and bought the car. It drove so smooth and for an automatic shifted nicely. Two weeks later, the a/c compressor that was installed wobbled loose, losing the serpentine belt and now I'm finding out the serpentine belt got caught in the timing belt and now I think I have bent valves or something.... we'll see... This issue has turned into a thousand more dollars that I don't have. And when I brought it up to them they directed me to their " As Is " policy, and then offered their mechanic to fix the issue if I paid $40 per hour labor. These people have little sympathy, they want your money and don't care about your experience, especially since one of the selling points is now the reason I'm car-less and in a money pit. They created what is now my problem. Let These People Go Out of Business. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM. I bought a convertible beetle in October 2014. They would not give any specific info about the condition of the car, other than assuring me they had mechanics on site (giving the impression they actually looked at the car prior to selling it) and referring me to the vehicle history report, which was fairly clean. They also offered me discount repair rates if i had problems with the car in the future. The window in the convertible top was coming unsealed and they offered to reseal it as part of the purchase deal. The check engine light came on the day after I bought the car and it was over $1000 to reseal and replace a bunch of various emission hoses and fittings. Within 4 months of buying the car, I've spent an additional $2000 to keep it in safe driving condition: I've had to replace the control arms, the CV joints, boots and axles, a transmission mount, the battery, the brakes, wiper blades and tires. When I took the car back in to have them reseal the convertible rear window, they did that as agreed upon, BUT they broke a mechanical part of the convertible top and sealed the window around it, and didn't say anything about the part they broke. There's no way to fix the broken mechanical arm without removing the canvas top, and I can't open and close the top without causing more damage. And they broke interior door handle off and just stuck it back on, so it came off in my hand the first time I closed the car door upon picking up the car! This "repair" took over 2 weeks; Sam said it would take 2-3 days. If they knew the condition of the car before they sold it to me, I consider it profoundly unethical that they would sell it as is and then turn around and offer discounted repair rates. Because of this I took the car to a different repair shop. If they were unaware of the condition, with a mechanic on site, I consider it criminally negligent. This whole experience has been nothing but a frustrating, disappointing nightmare. I will be pursuing legal action. read more

This place does not even get 1 star!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! It's a bad company, I went there to look at a car and I actually found a couple that I wanted. So I asked the sales person if he would come down at all in the price and he flat out told me NO and I said I was paying in cash and he still said no, who ever heard of a car lot not coming down at all??? Like are you not trying to sell your shitty ass cars. So then I found a car I really liked and it was price below market value so I asked if it had accidents and the guy told me yes it had been in 1 minor accident so I I asked to see the carfax and i was shocked it had two accidents on it. And he quickly realized that he was caught in a lie. So I thought about it and thought "well it only had rear end damage. It'll probably be fine" went to the bank and the bank told me it had been in 3 fucking accidents!!!! 3! And the guy and the owner tried to tell me just 1!!!! Very disappointed, they made me waste an hour and a half at the bank when they knew to begin with the car had 3 accidents and I wouldn't of wasted my time! SCAMS to NOT go here! Be aware that what you see on their online ads is not the truth... We saw the car last night (Monday April 17th, 2017) and went by this morning. My husband decided he would buy it, since the price was right for the damages reported and the work needed in order to have the car in good condition. When we were about to pay, the lady told us, the price had gone up and it was now $1000 more than advertised... We were in disbelief and offer to pay the price they had online in cash... She went in to check with the owner, and he came back saying that the price they had online was for the weekend (not to mention they don´t work on Sundays...) We told him we saw that car online Monday night, and his ad was tricking costumers to come by... He said he had had many inquiries about the car and that if we did not want to pay the higher price we were welcome to go... He has not good manners to talk to clients at all!!! So, as you can imagine, we left!!! read more

Be very careful with these people. I saw a 2000 Honda accord listed on craigslist. After texting back and forth I find out it's a dealer not owner like they said. I asked in text if any major repairs had been done and was told no, the car needed nothing and was good to go. When I get there I'm told that they just did the cv joints and control arms, but they said it needed a new front left tire because it was pulling very hard to the left while driving. I still drove the car down the road, I don't know exactly what the problem was, but I know for sure it was not the tire. The greaseball salesman was telling me how clean the car was as I was getting into it and the interior was dirty as fuck. They also had ran the car before I got there, so I had no way of knowing how the car starts/runs when cold. Also, the car had 8000 miles more than what they said on cl. To top it all off, the manager didn't know the salesscum had ot on cl, then said they couldn't go for the price on cl. I do not recommend anyone go here. This place is only looking for a sucker and people who don't know what to look for when buying a car. They will just lie and bullshit to con someone into buying. STAY AWAY read more
