It was over so quick I only got the name 2 times...5 times too few for me to remember)was the Fantastic person that helped me. I have been calling mazda dealerships all over the mainland and either they would not ship to me or my local dealership or they wanted 600 shipping (more than the price of the part which is a long piece of plastic moulding) This place was a breath of fresh air and a truly pleasant experience. I felt like I was in a parallel universe where things just went right for 10 minutes. I told them the part number, they looked it up said where do you want it and boom. 6 months of headache over hahaha I am stocked! After 10 years and 107K with my little Mazda2 (purchased at a different local dealership), it was finally time for an upgrade! I did my price/condition research via CarFax, Kelley Blue Book, and JDPower online, then made an appt to test-drive a used 2021 Mazda3 (45K miles) at Roger Beasley Central. (Before making the appt, I specifically asked a store rep online if the price were open to negotiation, since my research w' Kelley showed an average listing at thousands less than Beasley was asking. The online rep said yes.) THE GOOD PART: Once at the store, Sky was a pleasant and knowledgeable salesperson. She patiently answered all my questions (esp since I'd never driven a keyless car with apps before!) and went with me on my test drive. So far, so good... THE BAD PART: Once I'd driven the car, a "numbers guy"---I think his name was "Willie" but I'm not positive (heavy-set w' beard/cap)---came over with a couple of printouts with figures, offering me not a penny less than the initial $19.5K asking price! As mentioned, I'd already done a ton of research online, showing the "Typical Listing" price for this make/model/mileage at $17.7K, the Kelley "Fair Purchase Price" at $16.1K, and the JDPower price at $18.1K. "Willie" brushed off all of my figures, saying I must not have entered the correct mileage for the Kelley quote (which I did), and that Beasley "did not use" JDPower numbers. (Just because you don't "use" them doesn't mean JDPower doesn't have reputable numbers!) I didn't expect to get the low-end price of $16.1K, but I certainly DID expect a bit of negotiation that ended up closer to the $17.7-18.1K numbers. Especially since I was offering to pay for the entire car up-front! I've negotiated for used cars several times in past decades, and I know that the dealership always initially marks up the price and that the later agreed-upon price usually falls within the range shown by Kelley and others. But this guy offered NOTHING. He also told me that Roger Beasley had 4 dealerships in town and that I was not going to find another similar Mazda3 with them at a better price than $19.5K, since all the prices were linked---insinuating that if I really wanted a Mazda3, I'd have to deal with Roger Beasley! At this point, I informed him that PoleStar just down the street on Burnet currently has a similar Mazda3, as do other Mazda dealerships in Buda, San Antonio, etc., as do other smaller dealerships within Austin. He basically shrugged, and I left. Just curious: Did he think I was ignorant about car prices since I'm a middle-aged woman?! I find it hard to believe that he would not have negotiated the price with a man, and taken him more seriously. Needless to say, I won't be coming here again. read more

One star. I purchased a 2015 Mazda 3 from this dealership on June 5th. It had obvious front-end collision damage when I purchased it. The front bumper was pulling away from the body, the passenger-side headlight was broken, the front fender was dented, and the wheel well was damaged. I only went through with the sale because they promised, up front, to fix all of it. They first told me it'd take "a few days." It's now June 15th. The car still isn't fixed and I still don't have it. Getting a straight answer out of these people has been almost impossible. Not once has anyone here updated me on their own. Every bit of information I've gotten, I've had to chase down myself. I've now tried three different employees: Landry the sales manager, Sky my salesperson, and a voicemail I left for the GM, Eric. I called Landry at 8:50 this morning and was told I'd get a callback with an update on the repairs. Didn't happen. I asked which shop my car got sent to and couldn't even get that. I paid for this vehicle and I have no idea where it physically is. I've got photos of the damage and I wrote down every promise they made. Fix the car, deliver it, and just communicate with me like a normal business, and I'll happily come back and update this. Until then, anyone thinking about buying here should know what happens once they've got your signature. read more

This Mazda location is really good. I've owned a Mazda for two years and have been coming here for service since moving to Texas, and the experience has been consistently solid. They're very organized. I pull in, someone immediately comes out to greet me, offers water, and walks me through everything. The service advisor explains what we're doing, and I'm sent to the waiting area, which is always spotless and comfortable. The coffee machine is legit, there are plenty of snacks, and the seating is actually comfortable. I don't mind sitting here for an hour because it feels relaxed, not chaotic. Service costs are either covered or very reasonable, and there's never pressure to add anything on. They send a service video straight to your phone, which felt fast at first, but honestly just shows everything is moving smoothly and nothing urgent is wrong. The shuttle service is also super reliable when you need it. Overall, coming here doesn't feel dreadful, and for a car dealership, that says a lot. read more

Took my car to Roger Beasley Mazda for service and when I went to pick it up, I was made to pay the service bill. When the car was brought up I was given the "bad news", that my car was damaged in a hail storm and all they did was saran wrap the rear windshield which was shattered and expected me to drive off in that unsafe condition with loose glass flying all over the interior. That is how they treat a loyal customer. They would not even refund me the payment made for the service. The car was "totalled" by insurance and Roger Beasley did not do a thing to assist me. I have had the worst customer service experience in my life with the service department of Mazda central. Forgive the long read but there are many issues that I've encountered throughout the repairs on my vehicle over the last 3 weeks. I am a contractor and rely on my work truck that I bought from this location as my livelihood and source of income. At only 60,000 miles the truck I bought here had a failure in the steering rack and pinion which was quoted at over $5,000 to repair. Fortunately the warranty I pay for every month would leave my out-of-pocket expense at $200. After towing my truck to this location it was not inspected by the mazda service team for 6 days. I was not given a loaner vehicle in the meantime until approval from warranty was granted. On the 7th day warranty approved the repairs but I was told there were no loaner vehicles available and I would have to be put on a list to wait until a loaner vehicle became available. I was unable to work and generate income during the time my truck was sitting waiting for repairs. I was then told my truck would be repaired within a week. I called and checked in on the progress and availability of a lower vehicle consistently throughout the period of time my truck was waiting to have the repairs completed, but was given very vague responses and told there were never any loaner vehicles available. After 16 days I went to the location and spoke with the service department manager and explained my situation to him, and he gave me a loaner vehicle right away and said they have had some available, and although they were experiencing a shortage they wanted to prioritize someone who needed it. I called Roger Beasley Mazda central 17 times between April 28th and may 14th trying to get updates on my truck and only received text message responses that were not accurate. I was told that my vehicle would be completed by may 12th, then may 13th, then may 14th, and now may 15th, and did not receive a loaner vehicle until this evening, may 14th, and I had to go in-person and complain to the service manager in order to receive the loaner vehicle. I was put in a position where I had no other option and pay a warranty that states I would have a loaner vehicle supplied to me under these circumstances and the best they could do to attempt to correct their horrible service was to offer to fill the gas tank of my truck that was already nearly full. I would avoid this at all costs, I am completely surprised by the positive reviews, perhaps the issue was primarily with my service supervisor, Jose who clearly is unfortunatley a poor communicator and is not interested in the best interest or well being of his clients. read more

They've had my car in the service department since July 24th and have not been answering the phone to provide me any updates. It's a factory warranty issue and I've never been so disappointed in customer service that I've received from a dealership.. just because the repair is covered under warranty doesn't mean that they should not respond to me and also refuse to give us a rental car. Also whoever works the rental car department yelled at my husband over the phone.. but given the current situation, I really feel like it should've been the other way around. I highly recommended finding a different Mazda dealership if you need your car serviced. Update as of August 24: the dealership has now had my car for 31 days total (after having it for 3 weeks, giving it back to me not completely fixed - my engine literally started smoking as I drove the car home - and then I had to take the car immediately back) and now they are not answering the phone or providing me an update on my vehicle. Does anyone work in the customer service department at this dealership other than a AI bot? If anyone at the dealership is reading this review, you need to call immediately with an update on my car 530-391-4700 and my options for a rental car AND answer the phone calls from Mazda corporate about the open case I have with them. I was originally yelled at when I dropped my car off that they have to prioritize paying customers for a rental car but would let me know when a car is available (so cars being serviced under warranty are clearly second class citizens) but it's now been 31 days of not having a car thanks to the lack of service at the dealership. read more

Great Buying Experience Ruined by Service Department Neglect I purchased a brand-new Miata RF from Roger Beasley Mazda Central in December, along with every available warranty and coverage option -- which significantly increased my monthly payment. At the time, I believed this would ensure peace of mind and priority service when I needed it. Unfortunately, that assumption could not have been more wrong. I had a scheduled service appointment this past Tuesday and was assured in advance that a loaner vehicle would be available. I rearranged my work schedule and took time off specifically for this. The morning of the appointment, I received a call from a service advisor informing me -- without apology -- that no loaners were available. This left me scrambling, with my time already wasted. I requested a callback from the service manager before rescheduling, as I didn't want to take more time off work without knowing I'd have transportation. That call never came. After several days, I called again to follow up and was told my information would be "emailed again" to the manager. Three more days have passed with no response. This is unacceptable. I am paying more every month for warranty coverage and benefits that, when I actually need them, are inaccessible. If I could prevent even one person from purchasing additional coverage from this dealership under the assumption it will be honored with priority and professionalism, I would. It's deeply disappointing because my sales experience was excellent -- but Mazda's follow-through on their promises has been nonexistent. At this point, it feels like I'll end up paying out of pocket for something I've already paid for in advance. Horrible experience: We saw a used car we really liked online since it looked pristine so we talked to the internet team who told us it was ready and made an appointment. We traveled 3 hours to go see it and possibly purchase, except that the salesperson (who was professional and sincere) told us it was not ready and it wouldn't be that day. After telling her how far we drove, she aided in pulling the car out for us; all this while there was a very heated argument in one of the offices with a manager and an employee, with loud yelling and cursing. When we saw the car, it had the same lot number and VIN, but this was not the car advertised as it was beat up, dirty and not even the correct interior color. The manager told us he had no control over what the Internet team posted, but that he made sure to tell them the car wasn't ready, as if that was our main complaint. He was not empathetic at all and even said he could relate because he had bought cars for his 4 kids, but when I asked if he'd ever experienced anything like this, he responded with, "fortunately, I don't buy used cars". I bought a used 2012 Toyota Camry from Roger Beasley Mazda Central because I believed I was dealing with a reputable dealership. I've only put about 3,000 miles on the car since purchasing it, and this week I took it to my independent mechanic for a full inspection. The list of issues they found was overwhelming and expensive enough to make me question whether this vehicle was properly inspected at all before being sold. What frustrates me most is that many of these problems appear to be long-standing maintenance and safety issues -- not things that suddenly happened overnight after 3,000 miles of normal driving. Either these problems were known and never disclosed, or the vehicle was never properly checked before being put on the lot. When customers buy from a dealership instead of a random Craigslist seller, they are paying extra for trust, transparency, and peace of mind. That is exactly what I feel I did NOT receive here. I understand used cars can have issues. I'm not expecting perfection from a 2012 vehicle. But I do expect honesty and a reasonable level of responsibility from a dealership presenting itself as reputable. Beasley's own site emphasizes trust, transparency, and customer care in reviews and marketing language, which is why this experience feels especially disappointing. Right now I feel stuck with a car that will need almost $10K in repairs shortly after purchase, and that's an awful feeling after trusting a dealer to do the right thing. read more

Not as pressuring as other dealerships, but one major flaw makes me not recommend this place. Purchased a car from these guys last year. I came in with a pre-approved loan from my credit union, and after talking to them for a while, they told me that my credit union loan only stays low for a year, then it goes up in interest, and I'm stuck with it. Then they offered their own loan at 2% higher interest, saying it would stay like that, and I wouldn't be screwed over. The day before I am supposed to go in and sign, my credit union calls me to check on how my search was going, and I told them what they told me. The lady sighs and explains, very obviously upset, that this is a blatant lie that Roger Beasley tells people to get them out of using their pre-approved loans, and that they have called them multiple times to stop this. I went back and insisted on using my pre-approved loan, and obviously the interest hasn't gone up. DO NOT trust these people with their loan offers. What they're doing is at least sketchy and at most illegal. read more

I have never left a review before and I'm sorry my first one is a negative review. I am a repeat customer of Roger Beasley Mazda, and will not be back again. My latest experience was a cluster ****. Right when we parked we were greeted (which was awesome, we love that) and started working with Eric. Told him my price range and what I was looking for and fell in love with the first car he showed me- a 2019 Audi Q5. Once the decision was made, we waited SIX. HOURS. to complete the paperwork. In the meantime he was with other customers and I feel like very little attention was paid to us. Whatever, it's a long process I get it, but it should not have taken that long. Not 24 hours later the check engine light has gone off, hazard light popped on, and the passenger door handle came off. Absolutely RIDICULOUS for this new of a car one day after driving it off the lot. When I brought it back and spoke with Eric he acted surprised that I needed a loaner while they were looking at it. Was told it was too late in the day for that and suggested I take my car and bring back the next day (mind you, I had no idea why the engine light was on and he wanted me to drive it home??). I was able to get a loaner that day and had it signed off for two days. I go back two days later, wait another hour, just to be told I will have this same loaner for another 7 days at minimum. THEN, that same night, I get a text from Eric (salesman) saying oh just kidding, the loaner car is sold and we need to get you into a different car. They were able to bring the exchange to my workplace which I appreciate but still, this is now twice I had to step away from work to deal with this. A week goes by with no word from Roger Beasley until I reach out and finally hear my car is ready. When I went to pick it up, they said the engine light was on because it was missing the gas cap. Why was something so easily missed when they did a "vehicle check" before selling it, I don't know. Hazard lights came on because the rear backup was faulty, that was fixed but again, why and how this was overlooked is beyond me. They were able to fix the door handle as well. All of this trouble and Moe, the manager, tried to get me out the door with "the first oil change on them" when I already paid for that when I signed the paperwork. Each time I had to be there I was overlooked, salespeople just walked around chatting with one another instead of asking if they could help me, and I spent way too long unnecessarily just standing around. People are shopping for a HUGE decision and I did not feel the necessary attention and time was given. All of this to say I do NOT recommend buying your vehicles from Roger Beasley Mazda in South Austin. Poor quality checks on vehicles and even worse customer service. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! Especially if you're a woman, they will screw you over, take your money, and sell you a death trap while saying they're not responsible for anything.I bought a car from them and right after I signed the paperwork issues started showing up. A/C compressor wasn't properly functioning, despite their continued touting that they inspect each vehicle that comes into their lot. This delayed just being able to drive the car I bought by a week, having to fight tooth and nail for them to provide some kind of accommodation due to their own negligence. After that was resolved I thought things were in the clear, just to have my car completely overheat and die AS I WAS ON THE FREEWAY 2 months after buying the car. When I bring the car to the dealership and ask why the possibility of this wasn't told to me prior to me buying the car, Kenny, one of the men who sold me the car, continually put the blame on the service side while being unable/unwilling to answer questions about the initial inspection, downplayed the severity of the situation they put me in, and has essentially said it's not his problem. While I've had better conversations with the service side, this doesn't change the fact that I was sold a car that couldn't even last 2 months, and am out thousands of dollars only to have to buy another car now due to the negligence and disgusting business practices of this dealership. They will take advantage of you, especially if you're a woman. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! read more

Appointment made on 1/24 for the first available appointment on 2/7 (14 days). Got 4 confirmations the day before the appointment -- 2 emails, 1 text and 1 app notification. Showed up for the Friday, 2/7 appointment to be told they were 3-4 days behind -- no loaner car available until 5 days later on Wednesday, 2/12 and then car was done late on Thursday 2/13. Was told that 2/7 wasn't an appointment to actually have a tech look at the car, but no answer on what was the appointment made for if not to have the car looked at and concern addressed! Also if you aren't going to be able to accommodate me at the appointment time, why are you sending me 4 reconfirmations? Why aren't you calling me to see what can be done? read more

She bought it and 9 months later it needs $7k worth of work, way more than it's even worth. So, we are still paying off the remaining $4k on a car that doesn't work. We went back to test drive another used car, hoping to get a good deal, given that situation, but we had a 3rd party mechanic check out the car and he said it wasn't safe to drive. We won't be back.
