I took my car in for new brake pads, new rotors and an oil change on Saturday morning. Logan Maggart met me in the garage, gave us a tour of the place and took my children and I to the clean and very organized waiting room. They had a special room just for kids with free wifi, games, markers, crayons and even Netflix! We had a 2 hour wait so we walked a few blocks to Target, Michael's, Dollar Tree, Steinmart and Sonic. Customer service and top notch cars make this place an oasis in the desert of horrible dealerships. I was dreading car shopping and having to out alpha male the salesman and his manager. But after checking out a few dealers I decided to check this place out after driving by it multiple times on my way home. I was greater by Armando who is a true car guy. I wish my experience here would have been a positive one. It started by me test driving several vehicles since I just started looking. By the second one I was being treated like it was an inconvenience since he (Gary) had to move cars to get to a them. I found one I really liked, so onto the trade in. At this point told that my car (it's a 2007 and in great condition for being an older vehicle) had a "bad paint job" on the bumper and front fender and "holes" in the interior. I understand it's probably not perfect but there aren't any big eyesores-the paint on the bumper is peeled in a couple of VERY small places and there's a slight (like 1/2" little wear spot in the drivers seat). This is my PERSONAL vehicle which I love, and it was being treated like a falling apart hoopty! I get not being able to pay whatever amount for it but I could have done without the rude commentary (ESPECIALLY since I didn't ASK). He then set me down with a calculator and "showed me how things work" (condescending much?), since I CLEARLY didn't have any clue even though this is the third car I've purchased all by myself. There was zero negotiating on the price of my car or the one I was interested in. According to him, "they retail for 38,000". (Funny, later I found one down South-EXACT same car- with only slightly higher miles for 28,900). I was then sent out the door with a dismissive "have a nice day", without even trying to make anything else (different vehicle, price range-whatever) work. I felt like a huge burden who was talked down to from about minute ten throughout the entire interaction. Maybe they do good business online or if you know exactly what you want, but as far as going in, I found the customer service atrocious, condescending, and overall an awful experience. Update: I wanted to adjust my review from 1 star to 3 due to the fact that the owner, Justin called to correct the situation. He very graciously listened to my experience and seemed disheartened about it. It meant a lot that he took the time to personally call me with his cell phone number and talk with me about everything that happened. He assured me that this is not that norm for his business and he wants every customer to have a great experience. He said that the situation would be addressed. I just had a very good (and unique) experience with Austin eAutos. I found a vehicle online and called to verify that it was still available. ( a lot of dealerships keep unavailable vehicles online so you will call. Then they ask for your name and phone number while they "check to see if its still available". Now they have your contact info and they will call you non stop ! Austin EAutos doesn't do this. They weren't pushing or salesy at all. I arrived a few hours after calling to test drive the vehicle. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was that people don't run out like vultures at your traditional lot. I simply walked in and they took me to the show room. My first impression was that every vehicle in there was nice, in great shape, clean, etc... I took my vehicle for a quick spin around the block (alone, they didn't come along and give me the sales pitch) and within an hour I was gone with my new car. From the associate (not traditional sales but more of a person there to help with any questions) to the sales manager to finance manager I was super impressed. After the fact I looked at their ratings on Yelp, Google, and Facebook and they are almost perfect. (rightfully so) I can't recommend this place enough. Just look at the website. They take a lot of detailed pictures of their vehicles, only have solid vehicles in stock, and will shoot you straight. Just bought my car from them on Saturday. Having bought my last car from a big dealer I went in with my guard up. Hate the hard sell and pressure some salesmen 'think' they need to include in their technique. Kim greeted us at the door, showed us to their stock and let us do our thing. She was an arms reach away without being pushy. When we were ready to test drive, she photocopied my license, handed over the keys and said 'have fun'. It was nice to test drive the cars in privacy as my husband and I could assess our true pros/cons. Three cars/ test drives later, I found the perfect car for me and was ready to buy. As it was a Mini, Brian came in to help and gave me the Mini inside scoop. Very knowledgeable! The real service came after I decided to buy. They really are unreal. Gave me a great trade in value and finance rate. Plus, walked me thru some 'owner' knowledge (warranty, usage, nice to knows). Today Brian came to my workplace and took my car to get an inspection bc it was out of date. I get it, they HAVE to do that but it's the personalization and friendliness that comes with their service that has made the difference. Brian noticed I was using an iPod connector and went to greater lengths to go back to his shop, check to see if they had a better one laying around and sent me an email saying he found one and put it in the mail. Family owned business snuck away in the Round Rock. Good selection of cars, but I had my eyes set on a white Acura. From the moment you enter, Kim or Brian would greet you and after the initial introduction, just hand over the keys to the car you're interested in to take it for a spin. No usual car salesmen BS pitch. It's just you and the car. It was raining cats and dogs that day and Brian was kind enough to lend me his umbrella and later even picked me up from the car rental place in the evening. I expressed some doubt about the key fob that came with the car, not a deal breaker for me, but Brian went out of his way to pick up the car from my office and return it within 2 hours with a brand new key fob from the Acura dealership! The offices were clean and comfortable, the staff couldn't have been nicer, and the inventory was great. Plus, I got a great deal--much better than what the Audi dealerships I spoke to were offering me. Austin eAuto priced the car I was trading in at least 1500k higher than what the dealerships offered, and the car I traded it in for--despite being a better option than what the Audi dealerships had- came in around 3-4 (maybe even 5k) lower than how everyone else was pricing theirs. They sent my husband and I out for a private test drive on a Monday afternoon. I came back Tuesday evening, delivered my trade in and drove out soon after with my new car! I was looking to trade my BMW 335i for a 4 series. First I went to Hendrick BMW South Austin. Spent 2 days trying to get a salesman to return my call, then spent 2 hrs there with the salesman. All he was interested in was selling me was a car he needed to get rid of. When I said no, it wasn't the car I even wanted, he told me all I could afford was a 2 series and we'd needed to reconvene another day. Never heard from him again. Worst experience ever!!! Well, this is different Found Austin E Autos via Car Gurus while researching cars. Once you've done the research, you have a good feel for the value of the car with the options laid out. Easy enough to compare against NADA and KBB and also other local dealers and private sellers. Full transparency. While you wouldn't negotiate into a fantastic, unbelievable, never heard of deal at Austin E Autos, you do get a fair deal and you know it. This place worked out great for me because I knew what i wanted. I had test driven some cars at the various local dealers. When it came time to test drive at Austin e Autos, "Here's the keys, sign here saying you have insurance and don't go over 100 miles" "You aren't coming with me"? "No, you'll be more comfortable by yourself, unless you want me to come along". Back at the lot, did the deal, had to sign one piece of paper (A Purchase Order) and hand over a deposit. Came back with the balance and they signed over title to me. Nice and Easy, Easy Peasy. All folks are not on commission, so no back stabbing. I'm sure monthly bonuses are in order for teamwork and meeting sales targets. No body is stressed out, all easy going and relaxed. This is a stress free environment. Last Saturday, I drove to Round Rock from Waco for my child's DI competition so I planned to test drive a few Jeep Grand Cherokees while I was there. We too were NOT impressed w/the customer service. When reading their reviews, you think this dealership deals well through the whole car buying process. Well, that was not our experience At All. Although I must say the first person we met with was wonderful. We had done our research on the next car I may want. After test driving, it was on to the office to discuss "pricing". This is were things fell apart very quickly. My husband mentioned (politely) that the car was slightly overpriced from the research we had done. She immediately got very defensive so my husband handed her a printout of similar cars in the area for a lower price. We also inquired as to the nature of the "oil leak" listed on car fax, but reassured her we were interested in the car. She got up and left the office without a word to us. After her return, she proceeded to push receipts at us showing the gasket leak been fixed. This was fine w/us, but she left again in a huff. A man came and sat in her chair and proceeded to tell us why certain other dealerships price the way they do. My husband told him we were there and ready to purchase the car (literally check in hand) but the service light had come on during our test drive and this alone would cost us an additional $500°°. He said they had "changed the oil and maybe forgot to reset it" and would not reduce the price AT ALL as that is "Just not how we work here!" I told him "Thank you for your time" and we left. Time spent there looking and test driving (and talking myself into wanting a BMW 5 series sedan vs my Mercedes suv) approx an hour and a half. Time spent in the office being made to feel disregarded, unwanted and that our business just wasn't needed...approx 15 min. It's not that they lost a sale over a service light, or just offering to service the car, it's that they made us feel so unwanted there. I mean, come on! They're supposed to sell the cars right? I found a car through cars.com and autotrader.com that was being sold at this dealership. I was kind of nervous about this place because it was online and it wasn't a major dealership. I have to say this place was by far the best experience I have ever had buying a car in my life, including my husband car we bought six months ago at Lexus of Austin.
