Omg Auntea Jenny has another location in Irvine now! It's so close to UCI in the UTC plaza, but it has replaced Sharetea. I happened to pass by today while looking for a place to eat and noticed they were open, wasn't expecting for them to open so quickly but it was a nice surprise. Today was the first day of soft opening, and from today until 10/2 they are doing 10% off any drink! Next week on 10/3 is their grand opening and they are doing bogo. I wasn't on planning getting a drink, but I couldn't resist haha. There was a bit of line when I went (which was to be expected) but it actually moved quicker than it looks. Since they're still in soft opening for the week, they don't have the full menu, but still a good selection with their signature drinks from milk teas to smoothies and lattes. I got my drink in less than 10 minutes when I went at around 1pm, which was fast (in my experience at the culver location, the drinks come out much slower) so I'm glad they are efficient. The inside was pretty spacious similar to Sharetea's interior, so there is minimal seating and tables but most people would probably grab and go.
I wanted to try the latest grape series, but they don't have it as of right now since they're still soft opening, so I went with another relatively newer series. I tried the peach oolong fresh milk tea daifuku. It's similar to the strawberry version I've had before, but with peach instead. I got it at 30% sweet and it was just the right amount of sweetness but I think it will also be good at no sugar for me. Love the peach flavor and the little peach bits so every sip you get some sweet peach bits. There was a good balance between the tea and milk. Also love the daifuku, I've had it before and it has a mochi texture and melts in your mouth. I believe there was also milk jelly in this drink, and it was good too.
Overall, I'm super happy that I have an Auntea Jenny so close to me when I'm on campus and don't have to make my way to the Culver location! I'm definitely going to come by often, and you can't really go wrong with any of their drinks. I have yet to try the drinks I usually get, but I would assume it's consistent and I will definitely be getting it sometime in the near future. read more
