I started my buying journey working with Sergio and John from Velocity. Sergio was very knowledgeable on the entire vehicle line, as we drove the Audi S3, A4 and even a Jaguar. Sergio was very patient and a pleasure to work with. Although we were not able to find just the right pre-owned car to meet my needs, he led me to Max who introduced me to the certified pre-owned A5 Sportback. In addition to being an Audi brand expert, Max was very professional and was able to answer all of my questions. We conducted the majority of our negotiations over text message, and finally agreed to terms over the course of about one week. When it came time to complete the paperwork, Max had everything in order and provided a very thorough explanation of all the details and signatures. Tahir led me through the final phase of the buying process and explained all of the various maintenance packages. I declined initially to any add-ons, but after some research, returned to purchase the Audi Care maintenance package. JP assisted with this transaction, and worked directly over the phone with the service department to answer specific questions regarding the maintenance history and service interval for my CPO A5. After driving home in my "new" Audi, I returned a couple days later to meet with technologist Brandon. Brandon was exactly what you would expect from someone called a technologist. He was an expert on all of the features and functions of the A5, and guided me through all of the controls, buttons and switches, even pointing out the hidden tricks and shortcuts. I recommend scheduling an appointment with an Audi technologist for your vehicle. I'll close this out by saying that the Velocity facility is by far the most impressive dealership I've ever visited and definitely left a positive impression. I've had Audi back in Taiwan and purchased preowned BMW in Carlsbad, CA. The BMW dealer in CA was professional, attentive and honest. History, inspection report were offered upfront, prices were transparent. He spent almost an hour showing me everything about the car when I picked up the car. No problems at all during the months I had that BMW. What I experienced here was totally different. My dealer was William. I told him I was interested in a preowned car, he started browsing their preowned car webpage for a while, at times rolling faster through some pages and introduced me an 2013 A4. We test drove the car and I asked a few questions about the car's function, he had to check with his colleague to answer. I paid a deposit for the car. Later that day, when I was checking the preowned car webpage, I noticed another A4 with the same specs but lower price, very coincidentally just after I paid the deposit. It felt wrong at the beginning. The day when I went to pick up the car, Will was talking with another client, so he came over, gave the key, held my hand and said "The car is ready for you. Here's the key, you can take her home now. Come back if you have any questions." The process was about only 1 minute. I asked if he can show me how to use the GPS on A4, so he reluctantly took 5 minutes going through the GPS and left. I do not have proficient knowledge about cars so I had to explore the car as I drove it. After only 2 or 3 days I had the car, it started to pop up a warning noticing me the maintenance was due in 26 days. Somehow it never occurred to Will to mention it before. I happened to buy 3-year maintenance for this car, so I can make an appointment to get it done, but had I not buy the 3-year maintenance, I would have to pay to maintain the car I got for less than a month. It felt like nothing but dishonesty. There is a sticker containing two numbers on the rear of every car, mine was 12 16. As a foreigner, I had no idea what that meant. When I bought this Audi I had only been to Hawaii for a week. Will knew I was a foreigner and new to Hawaii. I had no idea what the sticker means, somehow, it never occurred to Will, my car dealer, to let me know about this since the car he sold us had a sticker of 12 16, which means the car had passed safety check way back in December 2016, which was 9 months before I bought this car. I did not know all these until a week ago a car wash staff told me, and I drove to the car to safety check. For one whole month I had been driving a past-due-safety-check car around. There were little problems such as the car key went out of battery after one month it was handed to us. This is not a major issue but it suggests how little attention was paid to the details and service quality as a whole. Form what I know the battery in car keys averagely last for 3 years or even longer. No one in Audi Honolulu had ever thought to check the keys at all. I had talked to the customer relation specialist and service department once, but all I can say is there was no sincere intention in their responses to report or fix the problems. This was the the first time ever I felt compelled to talk with a customer service because of the unprofessional, dishonest service, and an overall very unpleasant experience. read more

This is my 2nd Audi, previously purchased an A4 cabriolet in Orange County, CA. It might be a mainland vs Oahu culture, but the product knowledge, service quality, and attention to detail were night and day better on mainland. Now that I have property on Oahu and am here frequently, I decided to shop at Audi Honolulu. James was our sales rep and seemed bored and disinterested, he mostly sat in the backseat and texted or played with his phone. His attitude was obvious that he would rather be elsewhere. When asked questions, he either answered with one word or didn't know... however, he never cared to find out the answers to our pending questions. I still purchased the car, because I like Audis and the timing was right, but it was one of those cases where you would rather the commission go to someone who cares. I've noticed several reviews for Audi on this yelp page with 0 friends and/or only 1-2 other reviews, which usually means fake reviews... so be careful, these might be written by the sales reps themselves. The best part of the experience were the guy who did the financing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and enthusiastic. It's been almost a year...And I still can't think of anything to replace my Audi with. My friends and neighbors keep joking, that it is time for me to change - but we are still loving our Q5. I was fortunate enough to get one of the remaining Q5 TDIs that were being sold after the correction. After looking at Audi a few years back, we were left with a great impression and always said that they did things different. Fast forward to 2017 and I needed to get into a different vehicle. Made an appointment to meet with John to look at the TDIs that were available. Met up with John, who was feeling under the weather, so he introduced us to James so that he could go home. (Mind you, John came in to meet us personally first, and then left for the day. ABOVE AND BEYOND!) James showed us a vehicle. Then we drove it to the space where the other ones were stored. Picked out the color and packages I wanted, then drove it back to the showroom. After a few questions and a short amount of time, we had a price and payment that worked for us. Working with James, John, Vince and Sean was a very fresh and welcome experience. Just look at their yelp reviews, these guys know how to treat you. It really is an #AudiOhana. Hence my Q5's name - JJ. It represents James and John, for the awesome experience. The facility is gorgeous. The vehicles are awesome. The employees are some of the best people you will ever meet and get to know. As one person said, the guys are all dressed so perfectly and look like GQ models. It's true, Audi of Honolulu has a lot of eye candy to offer the car enthusiasts and more! I highly recommend taking a look and being as impressed as we are. James, John and the gang will happily take care of you! Almost a year, over 10k miles, and still enjoying it. Side Note: Servicing is just as great! Working with Wendi is always a joy. I would like to report how Audi Honolulu responds to customer service. On Saturday June 8, 2019 I received a phone call from Sales Manager Vincent Leong asking if I am interested on selling my 2016 Audi Q5 because their low inventory and client demand. I took time from my work day on Monday June 10, 2019 to meet with the sales representative and discuss sell prices. He offered $20,000 without much look into all the features I added to the vehicle. My Q5 is 22,000 miles and in pristine condition. $20,000 is a very low offer and I respectfully declined and left the dealership. For the time wasted, the low offer and the experience in my first offer of my vehicle I made my customer review as appropriate. My review comments were replied by a customer service representative named "Jessica E." stating that "I should get my facts straight" and that I am providing false information. I am a respected member of the Government and this is utter disrespect, especially when giving my honest opinion to the service department that is meant for customers and their opinion. I contacted Sales Manager Vincent Leong and made my complaint, on which his reply was condoning this behavior and indifferent over the poor customer service. I understand the goal of this dealership to acquire my vehicle at their lowest cost. However, this should be discussed and a phone call would've sufficed. Making me lose a day of productive work, dismissed in a 10-minute meeting is not what I expected when it comes to supreme customer service standards. No negotiation or means to come to a middle number regardless of all the money the dealership will make over this sale. Customer Service Audi Honolulu is a long way from improvement and as a paying customer, my opinion should be respected and honored. Especially when I wrote nothing but the truth and they should not go after customers who rated the experience as a poor one. With the purchase of my third car, I definitely wanted an upgrade from my previous 2 vehicles (Scion tC and Toyota Camry). The entrance to the fancy Velocity dealership is off of Kapiolani on the right hand side when you're heading towards downtown (just off of Ward Ave). I was a little confused when looking for the Audi dealership, as I wasn't aware it was part of the Velocity dealership. I had to make a square, because I totally passed the complimentary valet since it was labeled "Velocity Valet". I showed up at about 3:30 PM on a Sunday, when they closed at 5. I was only really planning on looking at that point. Since I had a dinner in town, I figured I'd just swing by beforehand and try to see if the car I wanted was available for viewing. Robert Townsend was my sales person, and he looks like my friend Jake--so it felt like my friend was selling me a car (lol). I was torn between two pre-owned 2017 Audi A4s with 3,xxx miles on them each, or buying a brand new 2018 Audi A4. My only rule was that I wanted it in white. The two pre-owned Audi A4s that I had been looking at on the Audi website both showed as "coming soon" for almost 2 weeks. Robert was able to walk me down the street to where one of the pre-owned Audi A4s were, and I was pretty much sold once I laid eyes on it. I ended up driving out in my new-to-me A4 that same night. Robert and Sean in financing were kind enough to stay a little after closing to help me finish all the paperwork. This was the first time I've purchased a car on my own, so it was definitely a huge purchase for me! Robert and Sean were both awesome, and Robert has been kind enough to answer my text messages very promptly! I never got to explore too much of the entire Velocity dealership, as I pretty much knew I wanted an Audi when I walked in. There seem to be multiple levels, but it seems like the ground floor consists mostly of Audis. Second time trying to leave this. Poor overall customer service. I own an Audi and VW, called to get the VW serviced, which the person on the phone said they don't do. Funny because VW owns Audi, and very similar just like Lexus and Toyota. So I went online to see if this was just a mistake or their policy. If it's a policy that's ok, and if it was a mistake that's fine too. I just wanted clarification. I sent in an email and about 40 mins later received a text. I asked the same question as in the email just for clarification and they responded "Sorry I am not in the service department. Pls call service" Well that's why you sent me a text, to answer the inquiry... Overall no one through phone, text or email was able to just answer a simple question or clarify anything for me. This didn't leave me with a great feeling about the business in general and won't be getting any services done or making any larger purchases from here in the future. read more

Do NOT take your vehicle here to be serviced. I have had my Audi for 3 years, since April 2020- I have had more issues than expected! I have taken my car 6/7 times to be serviced here. I have the Audi Gold plan- nothing is ever covered. Every time I leave this service department- I have a new code or light that comes on! My vehicle is garage kept, hardly driven, has 71k miles on it. I bought it with 40k. My vehicle is very well maintained and kept. This last visit (yesterday)- I was told I needed to spend hundreds on new spark plugs and filters- when I just had them done. When I pushed the topic and inquired and told them that impossible; they said "Oh we are sorry, you're right out techs made a mistake!" Wow- who knows how much money I have wrongfully spent because they are literally just attempting to milk money out of clients. I have an "Automatic start/stop malfunction" light come on over a year ago, found out today they just wiped the code. So? Have I been driving a car not good, for how long? I went in months ago because I had a "tire pressure" module- which I paid to get fixed. Half a year ago I had a "safety malfunction" code- that I was told not to worry about and they wiped the code- however, Friday, I took my car is and supposedly NOW it's a recall. I say that to say- if you're thinking of moving on Island with an Audi looking for service, DON'T! If you're looking to buy a car; don't consider Audi. Yes, the shuttle service is nice and the curtesy service is great- however the QUALITY, care, and maintenance you receive are not worth the money you will spend on the car. I will probably not buy another Audi after this- and that's sad because 1) I made an appointment with the sales team already, and 2) I love my car. I'll never put myself through this again. I'm going to go pick up my car in a couple of hours, pay thousands and have ZERO confidence that some new light won't be on in two months. read more

Listen to my story. Audi Honolulu was Audi Hawaii only a month or two ago as of the date I'm writing this. They were located out on Lagoon Drive. That wasn't a bad spot to buy a car at all - lots of parking, a decent sized show room. In May of 2016 I bought my wife a 2016 Audi TT. Tyrell Jenkins was the salesperson at that time. He really jumped through hoops to get us that car. It wasn't even for sale because it was scheduled to be in the FHB Auto Show. Once we told Tyrell we were very serious about buying that car, they moved mountains in a hurry to get the factory to release it so we could buy it. My wife could not be happier. Audi Hawaii's willingness to do what it took to make us happy impressed me. In addition to how fantastic the top of the line Audis actually are, I decided it was the right time and Audi Honolulu were the people to buy by dream super car from. An Audi R8. A 2017 Audi R8 to be exact. I happened to bump into Tyrell about a week after buying the TT. He was no longer with Audi Honolulu, but he said Audi Honolulu had a new 2017 R8 in the showroom about to be moved down to the Auto Show. I'm sure I looked like any other dreamer wishing he could buy that R8. But Frank Quirk approached me with a laugh and a smile and said "So how about it? You want to price one out for yourself". He might have been joking, I don't know. I don't think so. I think he saw the look in my eye. Before we sat down to talk about what it would cost to own an R8, he offered to let me hear it start up and called over Vince Leong, the sales manager and the only one authorized to even touch the super car. Vince started up that monster V10 engine, pumped the pedal once, and it was all over for me. I just asked Frank to print out the options list for me and I was out of there as fast as I could go, knowing I was absolutely committed to buying it soon. After a month I had made the necessary financial arrangements and called Frank back, telling him I wanted to make the deal. He checked with Vince and the two of them were very straight forward and serious about what I needed for a deposit, how long it would take, etc. I visited them another month later with a deposit, made all of my custom selections, and signed the dotted line. After that, it was all waiting. R8's are hand built to order, and it's not a guarantee you'll get allocated one. Frank and Vince kept me apprised of the situation routinely - factory has my order, factory is building it, factory is done building, in transit, on the boat, at the dock. I would pop in every now and then just to bug them. Frank and Vince always seemed happy to see me, and entertained my harassment with good humor. I felt like I had two friends who were just as excited as I was. Audi Hawaii became Audi Honolulu and moved to Velocity while I was waiting for the R8. They were in transition and going through some growing pains, but Frank and Vince still kept me informed about my order as if nothing had changed for them. I can't begin to describe the day my R8 arrived. I authorized Frank to drive it from the dock to the dealer. He was totally thrilled about that. He took pictures of the whole trip, texting them to me to make sure I knew my new baby was in good hands. The day I picked it up, my wife and I were treated like royalty. And you know, I don't think it was just because we bought Audi's pinnacle machine. Frank and Vince and the whole team weren't acting fake or anything. I'm sure they are genuinely happy for anyone buying the Audi brand. I've only had my R8 for a month, and the followup has been great. Frank calls just to ask how I'm enjoying it, and Vince gives me a like on all my Instagram pics. Folks, if you're going to buy a new car, buy an Audi. Buy an Audi because there is only one dealer - Audi Honolulu. You might think they can treat you bad because there's no other dealer to go to, but that is not the case. Audi Honolulu has a great selection of pre-owned vehicles as well. We didn't make an appointment and just dropped by. Upon pulling up to the dealership, we were greeted by Tam Le. We told him we wanted to check out a Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit we saw online. Even though he's an Audi specialist, he was able to answer my questions about the Jeep and go over all the features. I did a test drive and we worked out the numbers afterwards. He was really patient with us and brought the price down. We went back and forth for about a week, but ended up not purchasing the vehicle due to other reasons. He really went above and beyond to answer my questions and meet my requests. Felt bad about taking up his time, but ended up coming back the following week to check out a Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4. We felt like it was a better choice for us and Tam was able to get us the price we wanted. We never felt pressured or rushed by him and felt like he was honest and fair from the very beginning...... which is why we decided to give him our business. While we were waiting to be seen by the Financing Dept., he gave us a tour of the facility and talked about all the different exotic cars in the showroom. We really enjoyed working with him and would probably do business with him again when it's time for a new ride. My husband and I initially stopped in a week ago because he is coming to the end of his auto lease (from another brand). We wanted to check out the new showroom, Velocity, and take a peak at some of their inventory. We didn't have a lot of time that day, but the sales guy Brandon kindly showed us around, and by the time we left we narrowed down our choices between the Audi A6 or Q5. Yesterday my husband called Brandon to give him a heads up that we were coming back to take another look and test drive a couple of cars. He told us that he was busy with other clients that day, but was able to introduce us to another sales person, Sean. We sat down with him to talk about what we were looking for in a car, what type of features were important to us, and price point. After driving the both the A6 and the Q5, we decided to go with the Audi Q5. Having to choose which color to get was probably the hardest decision...they all look amazing! Sean was very personable, and at no time did we ever feel pressured to make a purchase, nor rushed to make a decision, considering it was near closing by this time. We briefly talked numbers with Sean and shorty thereafter, he introduced us to Vince, the General Sales Manager, to negotiate payment and come to a final agreement. He didn't pressure us or waste our time at all. No haggling or arguing back and forth over the price. Vince made us feel like we made a great deal, and we walked out of his office feeling great about our decision on this vehicle. Finally, we met with Adam in Finance. Adam congratulated us on our purchase and went over the some of the maintenance packages that were available to us, while answering any further questions we had. We chose the package that seemed to best fit our needs. Again, we didn't feel pressured with him either. This afternoon we we able to take our new car home. It was perfectly detailed, and per our request, The utility racks were installed. Sean took his time to personally show us how to navigate through the features of our new Q5, and helped us sync our phones to the car. To make a long story short, after multiple trips to this dealer and endless communications with Eric, all in a span of two months, I'm proud to say I ended up with their top of the line Q3 compact SUV. It had everything I was looking for and it came with the necessary packages I wanted - premium plus, sport, & sports plus. Eric was patient and helpful throughout the entire time. He took time and made sure I got to see and test drive all the vehicles I considered. Drawback: majority of their vehicles are parked in a nearby offsite location so it's very limited what you can view & test drive but that's not Eric's fault. One Saturday afternoon we (husband, daughter and me) didn't have much to do so we decided to go down to the Honolulu. Little did we know that we will be coming back home at night with a SQ5. This will probably be best experience I will ever receive while shopping for a car. From the moment I arrived I had valet parking. I walked in and looked around and Robert came up to us asking what I was interested in. We told him we were just looking... (we were looking for an SUV). We must have been in there for about 20 mins before I saw my husband hop in a vehicle and driving it. He then approached me asked if I wanted to test drive it too. Of course I did and while we were driving he told me everything about the car features and performance. So we drove a few cars, but was most admirable was his patience, and how kid friendly this location was. Since I had a 3yr old we had to take turns test driving it so I started telling him how important performance was for me ( low key how much of speedy junky i am) so he offered to take one of the vehicles from the show room so we can drive it. I fell in Love with the SQ5 immediately. Needless to say this was also the vehicle he purchased and was waiting for! That same night about four hours later we had the keys, a new car which was detailed, full tank of gas, and the Audi connect system set with our information, ready for us to use. While we waited they constantly offered us drinks and snacks. The manager (army veteran) and financial rep worked after hours to ensure that we walked out of there with our car. I couldn't be anymore thankful they worked out an amazing deal. Both Robert and his manager ensured that we would receive registration and license plates within a week which we did since we are getting ready to PCS. If you want a good deal i highly recommend Robert Townsend he will to meet your expectations and look out for you especially if your military!!! read more

We finally made a switch to a different German car. John Ohtani salesman is hands down one of the BEST salesmen I've ever met because he was very patient with us and explained in detail the different features. No stress or pressure about getting a car which is the one thing I don't like in dealing with sales. John is very professional and me and my husband can tell he is passionate about his job and he truly respects his clients. We also met Brandon tech/sales specialist. He was also very helpful going over the new car Q7. Brandon was also very patient with us and I like the fact that he wanted to know what specific things we needed help on with the car and we ask him to first teach us what we needed on a day to day basis. We also met JP from sales, he was very knowledgeable of the products Audi is selling and explained thoroughly what it covers and not rush us into making a decision. We also met Mike the manager, very kind and respectful to new buyers like us. Overall, the experience of buying a new car was very easy because the Audi team made it pleasant. I also like to add that I respect staff that really know their line of work which made a huge difference with their new buyers. I highly recommend going to see Billy (AKA "Billy the Kid") if you are looking to buy an Audi. He just got me my Q3 and I couldn't have loved it more. He is super patient, very thorough, and he made it the easiest process ever. He was pretty much on call for several days answering my questions by text and phone.
