I worked with Shaun Condry (Manager) and Paul Escorpeso for nearly 3 months regarding the purchase of a beautiful, clean, low miles BMW in their inventory. With my situation with credit, payoff of my current vehicle due to a total loss settlement, and being on Kauai, my hats goes off to this dealership and Shaun and Paul. I came in to the dealership to check out an MB S550 that I saw on cars.com that they were selling. I was at first hesitant to even visit because of the low ratings AutoXchange was getting. Then John approached me and asked me what I was looking for, so I told him I just wanted to see the car they advertised. While this was happening, in front if their line was a 2015 CLS63 S AMG, a beautiful and powerful car, something that I never even thought about getting because I already drive a 2014 CLS 550. John goes to me and asked if I wanted to drive off with the car...I laughed. I have a credit of 670 ish, something I'm not proud of, but after 2 hours, Shaun told me that I was approved! Long and behold, not only did they buy my car $11k more than what BMW dealer was buying it for, but they also gave me a 4.9% interest rate! These guys are amazing! They will work with you however bad your credit is as long as you're patient. John, Shaun, and I started just laughing about my experiences with dealers. I am a veteran and so was John so we had something in common which was a plus for me. At the end of the day, I never imagined that looking to check a car will end up with me driving out with an AMG! I always wanted one but never could get approved for one. If you're military, I highly recommend John to handle your needs and Shaun to run your financial potential to get any car you want! ***DO NOT PURCHASE FROM AUTO X-CHANGE*** On April 1, 2023 I paid cash for a used 2011 BMW 535i for my teenage son from Auto X-Change, Inc under the promise that specific mechanical repairs would be resolved in the signed "We Owe". The repairs were to fix the head unit in the dash which was not working, fix a noise in the steering, and replace the hood struts so it would stay open when you pop the hood. The sale was on a Saturday so the service department was not open. The sales person (Sean Kohagura) and sales manager (Shaun Condry) assured me the repairs will be done ASAP the following week when the sales department was open. They would even give me a loaner while the repairs were done. Everything sounded great! The following week came and I had to reach out to Sean to ask about getting the repairs done (1st red flag). I dropped off the vehicle to the service guy (Dickson). They weren't able to fix it so Dickson gave me the car back that same day. He asked me to drop it off on Friday to take to the BMW dealership to have them fix it. Dropped it off and they gave me a loaner. By Thursday of the next week the loaner was leaking Coolant and running hot. (2nd red flag). We switched out the loaner and then the following week someone was interested in the loaner but my car was waiting on parts. So I got my car back and waited for the part to come in. During this time the AC in my vehicle went out which I want them to also look at because it worked when purchased. By this time, my sales person Sean had started having an attitude when I would check on the status of my vehicle when he was the one who told me I should follow up with him (3rd red flag). I asked for the Sales manager to call me and "Bobby" called me. Now I don't know Bobby's last name and he's not listed on their website. But he seemed reasonable and interested in trying to resolve things for me. So I finally get another call from Dickson that the part is in and I can drop my vehicle off. I dropped off my vehicle and after another two weeks and two loaner Dickson returns my vehicle saying the repairs were done. But when he brings me my vehicle the head unit was working but it was in Spanish and the only person who could reprogram it was not showing up for work. And they were still waiting on the part for the steering wheel. The AC was working but I was at ground zero with everything else. One day later the AC goes out again. So I call and text Bobby and now he's not returning my texts or calls. So I wrote a letter to the owner (Sen Ming Lin) and made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The owner turns out to now even live in the Hawaii or the United States. He has a friend (Earl Huang) who is helping looking after the dealership. He calls me and says a lot of the same things Bobby said to me originally in that he would get it everything taken care of for me. He explains to me that he knows exactly what they put in the car to make the AC work temporarily but it does not fix the AC. He says he ordered the head unit and when I bring it back in they will make all of the repairs at once. It has now been two months since I begin talking to Earl and literally nothing has happened. He said the head unit came in but they lost it somehow. I have since taken my vehicle to the BMW dealer who said the compressor and condenser on the AC has been out for a long time on this vehicle and it would be $5K to fix. In addition, the head unit is a used version from another country and cannot be reprogrammed. I would need to purchase and install a new one which would be another $2100. That's more 50% more than what I paid for the vehicle. So I called Earl and he said same thing. He would figure out what can be done to help resolve this issue. Yet nothing has been done. Ultimately, Auto X-Change sold me a car with major issues they were aware of and did not disclose, they lied on the "we owe" saying they would make repairs they never intended to work. They have been nothing but unprofessional this entire time I have had to deal with them. They are nothing but a bunch of scammers. Do not purchase any vehicles from them, they all have issues and they apply temporary band-aids so they are not noticeable for the test drive and any inspection you may do when purchasing. They did not even register my vehicle correctly as the license plate on it did not match the registration. I had to go to the DMV to get it registered myself. I read the negative reviews on this business, but decided to try anyway with an "open mind" because they had a vehicle I was interested in. Due to some review comments, I knew that I didn't want them to fix anything, so if the car needed anything done, I was not going to buy it. I would NOT recommend this business to any of my friends or family members. Here was my experience in bullets: -I emailed the Sales Manager to schedule an appointment to view the vehicle at the Kalakaua location . I gave them the Year/Make/Model and VIN # of the vehicle I wanted to see and he confirmed my appointment. When I showed up for my appointment the next day, they wasted 15 minutes of my time looking for the vehicle only to find that the vehicle was NOT there. Unprofessional. This segment was a waste of 1 hr of my day and gas. -I ended up driving to their "other location" on Nimitz, which is where the vehicle was since it was. Once I arrived, I waited another 15 minutes for them to get the car. The floor manager Ng, asked one of his guys to go get the vehicle and go with us for a test drive. When we got back, the guy (who still didn't introduce himself yet) turned on his "sales pitch" button. (Side Note: I REALLY didn't want the typical car salesman experience, which is why I asked for an appointment with the manager in the first place.). Salesman name was George. -All the things that were wrong with the vehicle that pictures won't show you: 1. Engine light was on the display panel - when we asked why it was on, George said he didn't know but he'd have their mechanic look at it. My thought = Why wouldn't their mechanic inspect the vehicle BEFORE they put it on the lot and show the car? 2. Trunk wouldn't stay in the open position and power rear door/trunk didn't work. When we asked what happened, George said he didn't know it wasn't working, but he'd have their mechanic look at it. Again... MY thought = Why wouldn't their mechanic inspect the entire vehicle BEFORE they put it on the lot and show the car? 3. There was a sound in the vehicle when we test drove it related to the A/C, but we couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from. George said he couldn't hear the sound. -George promised his mechanic would "fix" the engine light, the power rear door/trunk and all the cosmetic scratches on the vehicle. He said "no problem, we can fix all those things." This was the final turn off as he tried to promise the world to make the sale. I felt we were more than patient through the entire experience and I can definitively say that I would never buy a vehicle from a business like this. Look elsewhere. read more

In October 2021, I purchased a 2018 Volkswagen Jetta SE (VIN: 3VWDB7AJXJM239188) from Auto X-Change Inc for approximately $19,900 plus taxes and fees. This vehicle was financed through Pentagon Federal Credit Union, who received the title as Lien Holder. Auto X-Change Inc provided a clear title and no evidence of any significant damage to the vehicle. Recently I tried to sell the vehicle and was advised by a local dealership the Carfax report states there's "Structural Damage" to the vehicle. To verify, I spent approximately $47 to purchase the Carfax report, which does show this damage was reported on July 21, 2021. The Carfax report shows the vehicle was then purchased by Auto X-Change Inc on July 26, 2021. I purchased this vehicle from Auto X-Change Inc sometime in October 2021. This means Auto X-Change Inc knew the vehicle had structural damage and didn't disclose this information to me (the buyer), to Pentagon Federal Credit Union (the Lien Holder), or to Geico (the insurance company). If this damage was previously known, I wouldn't have purchased the vehicle, Pentagon Federal Credit Union wouldn't have financed the vehicle, and Geico wouldn't have insured the vehicle. I've made four attempts to contact Auto X-Change Inc, once by email, and three times by phone. There was no response to my email, I received a hostile gentleman on the first call, a voicemail on the second call, and gave my call back number on the third call. This is not only a safety concern but it's fraud. read more

Exactly one week ago I planned to go look at 2 Different Jaguar automobiles that I have been keeping my eye on. The first one was a V-8 Supercharged XJL and the other one was a V-6 Supercharged HF... Location: Airport Salesman: Paul Manager: Phil After many stops trying to find a used Audi Q5, I stopped in this location after seeing an ad for an Audi. I test drove the vehicle and then was directed to a Porsche Cayenne for same price. I test drove it and felt conflicted. They pushed me so hard to the Porsche that I ended up buying it. Here are some immediate issues at hand: 1) Expired safety sticker (didn't notice until next day). When I asked Paul, the unknowledgeable salesman, he said that this is standard practice....to make the buyer go to the trouble of obtaining the safety inspection! WHAT? I have to take time off work to go get this done and THEN take it to them directly? It's a failed inspection, of course, because it is not registered, either. SMH... some people have no common decency for others anymore. 2) Purchased early April...now in July and still NO registration, no pink slip, NO communications. 3) Check engine light on within a few days.... "take it to our mechanic"....great...more time off of work. "Come back next week...we have to order the part".....great... MORE time off of work. They replace a fuel sensor or something. Light goes off! For all of 3 hours!!! Back on again. We have to move so I am delayed a few weeks to take it back but when I do, they NOW want to charge me $191 to fix the original issue that was never solved! 4) Don't waste your time emailing or texting... you'll get NO response whatsoever. (I just love being "ghosted".) Ignore anything Phil tells you when selling you the car. Paul is not much better. In fact, just drive down the street to a legit used dealership and avoid the headaches and lost money you will surely get from going to this dealership! They refused to give back my money and insisted that I had to buy a car with them. I ended up spending over $20,000 cash and they again promised me things they DID NOT deliver. First off I never ever buy cars from dealers, and was looking for a specific model Porsche on the island. No private party car was available, So I went in to look at a car with no intentions of buying. Charles was very nice and not pushy at all to sell me the car. He spent a lot of time with me looking at the car over 2 days as well as negotiating the price, terms etc. After getting a PPI, and getting the car for an agreeable price, two days later I had an issue with the car that was quite expensive. I went back to the dealership and explained what happened, and how it was something that should not have failed within 35 miles/ 2 days. This was a very rare occurrence and has never happened to me after buying a car. The owner not only helped me take care of the repair bill( which they were under no obligation to ) but they also sourced the second key for me. I am not saying this will happen for anyone who buys a car from them and has an issue, as most of their cars are fairly newer models with low miles. The owner, Sam, was very professional and did the right thing in the end. I highly recommend buying a car from Auto X Change, as they were not out to just make a buck $. Unbelievably bad! Everyone seems so nice at first but they give used car salesmen a bad name! My son tried to buy a Mazda there, agreed to a price and put down a $1000 deposit pending some obviously needed repairs (which were done) and a mechanic's inspection to confirm no other mechanical problems. Our mechanic inspected the car and had some concerns. They tried to tell us our mechanic gave it the all-clear but that was not the case at all. Then they recommended we allow them to have Mazda inspect the car and my son agreed to pay the fee for the inspection. Mazda's inspection noted two critical components that needed replacement. But the owner refused to have the repairs done and is refusing to return my son's refundable deposit! It seems they hope to sell the car to some other sucker who will not bother to check for these issues. AutoXChange may not be the biggest dealer, may not have the most cars, but they are definitely the best. I had a horrible experience at a large branded dealership earlier in the day and was left frustrated and upset. I was about to give up finding a vehicle when I made one last ditch effort and starting searching online for another vehicle when I got home that night. I found a small dealership on Ala Moana called AutoXChange. It was 7:45 at night and I picked up the phone and a guy named Shaun answered the phone. I explained my situation, my income, my credit situation etc as well as my week long escapades with the previous dealer. He was awesome. He made an appointment with me the next day and that was that. After finding the vehicle I wanted the next day the struggle started. This was my first financed vehicle. Strike one. My credit was less than good. Strike two. Of course the final blow was I had a small down-payment. It didn't bother Shaun. He kept saying we will figure it out We worked for three days, and on Halloween night after me IMPATIENTLY and the guys at AutoXChange patiently worked with the bank, I drove off in my first financed vehicle and couldn't be happier I read countless reviews about dishonest dealers, fast talking salesman etc. These guys are good though. Mostly local, solid individuals, with plenty of respect and decency to help you when you might not get help elsewhere. I would say without a doubt that they have made a customer for life. I recently purchased a vehicle from Auto Xchange and was told by Paul the car would be detailed after purchase. Over the next few weeks, I talked to Paul in person, through text, and on the phone at least ten times, mentioning the detailing every time. First let me start this review by saying there aren't enough stars in the world to do this dealership, and its employees half the justice it deserves. Shaun (Manager) finally a car dealership manager who actually cares and LISTENS when you talk. Went in for a Bentley Continental GT, but I told Shaun I have actually always wanted a Mercedes S Class, and just so happens they had one in stock. What makes a great salesman is someone who actually listens, and Shaun was very honest about how he felt I would like the S class better for reasons that actually would benefit ME and not just the dealership. Cmon, any car salesman would keep laser focused on the Bentley, because well it's a bentley. I owned a 06 flying spur so it wasn't just randomly going at it. I left with the Benz S Class, and it is the best car I have ever seen, driven, and I am so glad Shaun actually listened and cared. Next Sean (Sales Consultant, who actually is a car wizard) is seriously the best car salesman hands down and I say that because I have never been assisted by any salsman in any field that has the knowledge he does when it comes to what they're selling. In his case I guarantee he knows every single year, make, and model of every car brand that ever existed. A living car owners manual. Don't believe me, go ahead and pay him a visit if you're in the market for a new car. You wont regret it. I still text/call him if I have a question on my vehicle I purchased and I will get a reply faster than opening the manual itself or doing a google search. Lastly, Finance Manager, Ng. This guy turned water into wine. For someone with a couple of tickets (sorry) and who got turned away by almost every single car insurance company. Even the unknown ones in the mainland. After meeting with Ng, I walked, or should I say drove out the dealership with FULL COVERAGE insurance, at a tremendous rate. Lets just say the guy is too damn good at what he does. I will say it again if you don't believe me, like I mentioned .... IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW OR USED CAR GO TO AUTO X CHANGE AND SEE SHAUN, SEAN, and NG, and then you can write your 5 star yelp and/or google review, because the service was that damn good, you wouldn't be able to help yourself from doing so. read more
