And he was very knowledgeable about the cars maintenance history. I was searching many local online sites for a compact low mileage used car made by a very reliable brand such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan or Mazda. I couldn't believe it when I found a Mazda 3 S Grand Touring Sedan with only 25,000 miles that was available at The Car Store. Although the car was a 2014 model, from the photos the car looked almost brand new. I called the store and spoke to a nice person named Majid. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. I made an appointment for the next day to test-drive the car. The car handled very smoothly and with good power on the freeway; I felt like I was driving a brand new car. But to have peace of mind, I also wanted to have the car checked out by a mechanic before I make a decision to purchase it. Majid offered to drive my car to the mechanic. In the end the car was in great shape overall and I felt very lucky to have found a great buy. Dealing with Majid on the purchase and with Bob on the test drive was a great experience. Off-beat lot location keeps the rent lower which keeps the prices lower but you will find the dealer experience is first-rate. He helped my fiancee and I find a beautiful Honda Odyssey that is a huge step in our lives as we move toward growing our ohana. After the test drive, he dropped the van off to a very reputable mechanic my fiancee and I had made an appointment with (there are several in close proximity to his shop in Kakaako) to get it fully checked out so we could feel confident in the purchase. The very minor issues that came back were fixed by his in house mechanic. I'm sad to see that the previous reviewer had an issue with the car store and hope that it was resolved because I had an amazing experience, and I am currently looking for a third car with them! My fiancé and I were looking at getting a second car and saw an awesome deal online with the car store for an E500 Mercedes Benz. We worked with Majid who accommodated our schedules by driving the car to our house for a test drive and also took the time the following week to go with my fiancé to have the car checked out by our mechanic. I can be a pretty lazy person, and the fact that Majid took care of everything for me and then some made me feel as though I should have been doing something more! He got my safety check completed, the car cleaned, the title transferred over with the city so I didn't have to go to the DMV and stand in that dreadful line, and got a second potential car to buy, checked out by our mechanic! We've had our E500 for six months now and there have been no issues! I also appreciated the follow up by his co-worker Judith who was told to look out for a ML320 for us while Majid was on vacation in France, if a good one became available and she did! I bought a 2009 BMW 328I coupe a few months back and the experience was fast and painless. Saw an ad for the car on Craigslist, and called the number. I came into the store pre-approved and the process was fast and easy. Instead of the normal 20+ forms many automotive dealers have the buyer fill out, I only had two. I drove the car, we discussed the price and it was a painless experience. The only recommendation I have for the store is to try and find a better location. I understand real estate downtown is very pricy, but the location made it difficult to test drive the car due to the pot holes everywhere. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an import vehicle to check this place out. I plan on going back soon to upgrade my wife's current SUV. read more
