I ready to commit to iphone 13 have the money burning in my palm. All I wanted was to see the phone color and to be told if you want to see the phone color go somewhere else or look Online. My issue for ATT involves both their retailer and the wireless provider. division Back in 2022 I had attempted to switch to Verizon wireless but had several issues switching over to them, so I decided to stay with ATT and never disconnected service. I am then suddenly suspended service by ATT in October 2022 as my phone is reported stolen by Verizon, which baffles me as it is my phone I paid fully at BestBuy in 2019. I call several times through November in between service interruptions with one occurrence my phone being disconnected while I am sick with covid unable to call a doctor. I finally escalate and am restored my service fully and have no issues until this year, beginning 02/26/2023. ATT advertises a promotion which I can turn in my iPhone 11 for full $800 credit towards a new iPhone 14. I take the opportunity and pick up my new iPhone 14 at the Tempe AZ location (SA24). I speak with Jacob and am told all I need to do is transfer my phone at home and can return once it is done and have 30 days to do the trade in. I attempt to take the phone back to my Chandler, AZ location but am told I must go to corporate location. I go to the Ahwatukee store (4722 E Ray Rd #6, Phoenix, AZ 85044.) I am told by store manager Jessica my IMEI still shows as stolen, I again insist it isn't. I am told to call customer care. I call them and after 1.5 hrs on phone am told that they have lifted the restriction and can return the phone in store. Great. I go the next day to the ATT store in Tempe where I originally purchased my iPhone 14 and make a 2nd attempt to trade in on 03/12/23. I work with Beverly who again shows me the device is still showing as blocked for being stolen. I call customer care in store and speak with IVY who partners with her technical team. I am told they will do a refresh, and this could take 24-48 hrs, I need to have the phone off nothing they can do so I go home. I call 03/14/23 to customer care and speak with Mary Grace, she confirms my phone is unblocked and can go to any ATT store to return the phone. I got again to the Ahwatukee branch and yet again am told this time by representative Paki that the phone is still stolen. Quite upset I call ATT customer care and speak with Princess their wireless rep. I am told by her that after checking my iPhone 11 is not good and no longer eligible for trade in. I am told by Paki that I should now contact the loyalty department. Still in the Ahwatukee store I call the loyalty team. The associate Steven tells me I would have qualified for a $500 return credit if I had done so in 14 days since 2/26/23 purchase. I advise I was told the iPhone 11 could be unblocked and IMEI in good standing by multiple reps and am told that sorry for the inconvenience there is nothing he will do for me. At this point the store manager who carefully avoided me and deferred all my interactions to her associates advises me I am too loud. I state I am on the phone and she threatens to call the police. I eventually reach a supervisor on the phone and speak with him, he confirms the other associates information, fed up I pay for my iPhone via credit card over the phone while the useless manager Jessica, calls the police. Overall, ATT is not a good service provider they have wasted countless hours of my time, have lied about their promotion. They purposely lied to ensure I would not qualify for the 14 day $500 credit and they have cost me now $800.00 and immense stress. The manager intentionally called the police on me because I was an upset customer, I felt personally threatened by her and left the store feeling like a criminal. I called to inquire about my ID they took from me and was told it was given back to me, seems like another lie after lie. I will be filing an FCC complaint separately but will also file BBB complaints with the retail division. ATT has cost me dearly and I will continue to pursue a full refund and the restoration of the IMEI on my iPhone 11 they fraudulently refuse to remove. read more

I had to go into the store to get phone service and direct tv service taken care of. I had tried to cancel the direct tv over the phone because my father has passed away and I got NO WHERE with them over the phone. I went into the store and Ben at this location helped me and got it taken care of in a matter of minutes!! Ben's customer service was outstanding!!!! He was very helpful, professional and compassionate with helping me out!!!! I greatly appreciate everything Ben did and he deserves a raise!!!! Not a problem with the store it's the whole company. Customer service is horrible you ask to speak to a manager and after talking to them for 20 minutes the phone gets disconnected and they don't call you back. Ive canceled service with them in 11/23 and they still charge me . Signed up at Sam's clubs and was it was the biggest mistake . Every month I have to call and I spend over two hours on the phone because customers service gives me the run around by saying it's a restocking fee . When I show that doesn't need to be paid for they say it a monthly bill. Just horrible. Been going through this for four months now . read more

I just went in to get a few questions answered and almost immediately was treated like I was ignorant and was seriously disrespected. I'm not saying it was because of racial issues or because Jake saw that I had a law enforcement discount and decided to treat me differently but the treatment seemed to completely align with him discovering this. Prior to me coming in he was with someone more like him and he treated her great but as soon as I walked in, I got nothing but attitude. I was so upset I walked out on him. After cooling off, I came in and asked for his name from a coworker and he refused to give it to me and told me Jake was on break. How convenient. Well for the past 2 months our bill have been 267.00 charging us for the phone and all this crap. Oh yea btw we had to give our phones to them. I came in on Sunday, March 1st to switch from one prepaid company to ATT Prepaid (real talk the prepaid services are the way to go but I digress). After waiting for about 10 minutes because I was in the queue to be served, I got help from Jake Young. Jake was professional, knowledgeable and like a good salesman tried to upsell me on a contract option even though I lost the desire for those years ago. He helped me get set up, even though there was an unforeseen issue due to my previous provider locking my phone (which I later resolved) I was in and out and comfortable with my purchase quickly. Went in today after being told by the online chat for AT&T that I had to take my Apple Watch Series 3 into the store to return it, decided to do this after receiving a almost $400 bill after purchasing it. Went into the store to be told by RJ that they could not accept the return. That I had to ship it back today and if I did not get it shipped back today, I was stuck with it. Even after showing him the transcript from the chat I had with the online representative saying I had 8 days, he told me that there was nothing he could do and he wasn't going to be able to help me. He said that the online chat did not matter, and that now because I had come into the store, what they said was final and anything else didn't matter. RJ was completely useless and wasn't willing to do anything and didn't care about a thing I told him. I didn't think the customer service with AT&T could get any worse but RJ certainly proved me wrong. After almost 12 months of nothing but bad experiences with the phone representatives and online chats, I thought for sure I would get better service in the store, but clearly I was wrong. RJ by far surpassed any of the representatives I have ever dealt with to date. If you already have service you might as well not bother going in to a store, especially this one. read more

We signed up for a DIRECTV promotion at the store one year ago. The promotion was for a 24 month contract for $60 a month. We were never told we have to sign up for AT&T service. A month ago we were charged twice as much for the DIRECTV service. When we inquired why our bill went up, DIRECTV said we did not fulfill our obligation to sign up with an AT&T service. We were never told that we had to sign up for AT&T service within a year, otherwise we would never sign up! We are being charged $200 to cancel. We are told that there's nothing we can do about this, and we have to go through AT&T arbitration. There are numerous complaints about this bait and switch, but the manager was not helpful and said we had to go through DIRECTV. Awful! We will be going to arbitration and warning people of this scam. read more

I am one of the thousands of people that switched to AT&T for the iPhone and I have no regrets. I used to be with AT&T long ago and then left for the other big company. However, since coming back I have been very pleased with the service I have received. There are a few times, when I am not in a major metro area when my coverage is spotty, but for the most part, I have no problems. As far as this particular location goes, the last two times I have been lucky enough to have Meagan helping me and she is wonderful. The first time I met her was right after my phone decided to take a bath. I was eligible for a phone upgrade in 2.5 months, so I really didn't want to spend the money to buy a new iPhone (because why would I get anything else) at full price. She suggested I take it into the Apple store to see if they would replace it under the warranty, which they usually don't for water damage, but might because of the cracks. She was right. They did replace it (because Apple is awesome) and she saved me $400!! This last time she helped me with the phone upgrade and was just as kind and helpful as the first time. She seems very genuine and is full of smiles which makes me feel like she is a friend looking out for me and not someone trying to get the big sale. It seems like everyone is wondering who is going to switch back to Verizon now that they have the iPhone too. Well, I will tell anyone that will listen that I am happy with AT&T. Since coming back two years ago, I have not had a problem with my phone and have had great service. It is because of people like Meagan that I plan to stay at AT&T. Well, that and the fact I was grandfathered in with the unlimited data package! =) read more

I was in the ATT store on 47th and Ray in Phoenix on Tuesday to return a tv-box after cancelling my service. Although I had cancelled the service with ATT over the phone the guys in the store would not accept the tv-box because there wasn't a manager or assistant manager on the premises. Therefore, they could not help me, would not help me or direct me to someone who could. The customer service was terrible and the two guys I talked to were not knowledgeable about returns. I was told I would need to come back to the store on Thursday when the manager comes back from vacation in Chicago. I felt dismissed and disrespected. The store needs to be closed down if they can't afford to hire management or supervisors because the guys that I spoke with were terrible and rude. After calling ATT again, I was sent a return label and I mailed the box to them the same day. read more

I only gave two stars due to the customer service I received when activity phone lines otherwise I would give a zero when it comes to customer service once you're a customer. I tried to do the switcher program through ATT which worked out will from the beginning. I traded in two iPhones which I got one prepaid Visa card for. I waited one month after recovering my first gift card to get my next. ATT sent me a letter stating my phone was not a valid phone or that I didn't make my payments on time which voided the switcher offer. This could not be true because I got credit for the exact same phone a month earlier since both trade ins were iPhones and I made my payments on time or weeks early. I contacted ATT at the store 3 times to which I got snarky remarks and never ending promises to get call backs from the manager. The manager NEVER called me. I was always asked to repeat everything and submit documents even though the manager was emailed with the complete details and documents regarding my switcher credit. In easier words, after SIX MONTHS of dealing with them and then spending hours on the phone with ATT I finally got my other credit. I highly suggest you use a different ATT store. They are terrible and no one wants to help or take ownership of an issue to help resolve it. The managers are just as bad and always give excuses as to why they can't do something or help me in store. It's ridiculous. read more

set up an appt online, got to the store 10 minutes early, said it would be another 1/2 hour, went to target, came back 1/2 hour later and they said there was 2 more people in front of us and it would be awhile longer. now when we first got there the manager RJ and one of his sales reps were helping 2 pretty girls, 45 minutes later the 2 of them were still helping the 2 girls...overhearing the conversation, it was just to upgrade phones, also, they still didn't get to the 2 people in front of us...we were there to bundle Direct TV as well as switch from Sprint. waited another 20 minutes and walked out. Why. bother allowing people to set appointments if they're going to ignore you anyway... still going with AT&T but definitely not at this location! read more

I will never use AT&T again. In fact I will file a formal complaint with the FCC regarding their actions. I live in Costa Rica and visit Arizona periodically. I bought a GoPhone account for the convenience of having a local number when in Arizona. It is supposed to be a good number for 90 days (or 3 months) after the last use or payment (I've been given both answers at one time or another). Instead, AT&T took my number after about 60 days and gave it to another person. I will have to call that person and explain what AT&T did. I had a similar experience, being chased by debt collectors when I got a new number in Costa Rica. The person who got my number will not be bothered by bill collectors since I do not owe any bills. If we could give ZERO stars - We would!!! It's taken FIVE, yes, FIVE visits to activate one new phone and transfer one number to another phone. On the new phone it was inquired how to set up email, their answer,"Use Gmail". No assistance offered. Oh, why is it set up for the geographic location / time for VIETNAM?! They had trouble figuring THAT out. And then on visit number three - new phone set to "EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY"!!! Finally, visit number FOUR - they failed to transfer from one phone to another!!! The "manager" Sheena, was too busy to help customers waiting for extended periods of time - waits of over an HOUR long. The associate, Angie was inept in her abilities to activate / program / transfer etc. Worst experience imaginable. read more

I went to this location to upgrade my phone and for some reason they could not get into my account for about 2 hours. I called customer service and three representatives couldn't tell me why they couldn't find my account so Darryle called and she got them on the phone and Rex the representative told me that because I changed my due date it was not showing up. Thanks to Darryle for getting the answers and providing me with excellent customer service. She stayed with me the whole time trying to keep me as a customer and not letting me walk out the door unhappy. From now on I will only work with Darryle when I need something. On the other hand her manger Jonathan was an asshole and kept telling me that if they can't get into my account there is nothing they can do and simply walked away. I was at the store on 02/04/16 when Gary D was yelling and swearing in the store. He verbally attacked the poor girl that was trying to explain something to him and started screaming at her. The manager intervened and professionally told the customer he could not swear in the store and at the young lady helping him or he would have to leave. Gary accused the manager of being racist and then stormed out of the store, swearing and cursing in front of small children. Before leaving, I approached the manager, Laurence and complemented him for handling the situation gracefully. I told him I would leave a review for him and give him a good remark on my survey. I transferred four cell phones from Verizon to AT&T at this location. I was promised to be reimbursed for canceling my contract with Verizon. Since August I still have not been reimbursed. I came in and spoke with the manager in November who is shored me this was all taken care of. Hence I was left with the $800 bill from Verizon for switching, clearly do not leave your company to switch to AT&T. read more

Terrible customer service. My phone is broken, so I went in to see what my options are. The representative who "helped" me had to take down my info twice and when he finally got my plan open, he simply told me I wasn't eligible for an upgrade and that it'd be a year before I could get a scheduled upgrade. I pressed him to see what my options were. He said that I could buy a new phone outright and he muttered something about how I could buy out of my contract for $500. I asked him if those were all of my options and he said yes. I asked again out of frustrated confusion if those things were all I could do. He looked to the side and barely uttered a yes. I quickly left the store and went home. I logged into my account where I found out that I was eligible for a partial upgrade. Store associates do not give accurate information out and then once you sign up, they act like they have no clue what you are talking about and tell you that you heard it wrong, despite having notes from the sales associate in writing. Specifically, they tell you it is a 1 year contract, but it is 2. They tell you you will get a $100 Visa gift card, but then they tell you "oh no that wasn't for that promotion" despite, again, having it written down on your paperwork. There it is, in writing, and the store associate will tell you you heard it wrong and not honor it. I would not recommend working with Daniel here as he screwed everything up in the first place and then when I called in, Andrew says, "well this isn't really my deal... I'm not getting in the middle of it, call back in a few days" I.E he has no desire to help you solve your problem. Natalie, I wouldn't even bother with her, she has horrible customer service and can't be bothered to take a message. I am not sure who that leaves and when you call customer service GOOD LUCK finding anyone competent. read more

I came to this store because it is close to my house and my phone is pretty much broken. I have come here before and have had great service but today was even better so I decided to write this review. I called prior to coming in and explained that I couldn't hear out of my phone and everything was slow RJ told me to come in and he will look at it immediately. RJ helped me when I came in and saw I had a million and one things wrong with my phone and he had Aldo take over to talk to me about my insurance policy and what it would look like if I got a new phone. RJ and Aldo were amazing employees and amazing with customer service. They treated me like family, broke things down for me to understand, and mapped everything out for me. Aldo did the work of mapping it out and helping me understand everything. He was extremely patient, understanding, and kind the whole time. Another employee I noticed, I believe his name is brandon and he is the manager was nothing but kind to anyone on the phone or anyone walking in.
