There are so many cellular phone stores in my area. There are even several different companies repping Verizon. I saw based on other reviews the Verizon, owned company, corporate store at Tempe Marketplace was not the best place to go due to being more known for upselling products than actually helping customers with their issues. This store, only a little over a mile away, located in Mesa Riverview, was wonderful. Keegan was extremely helpful. He alone is the reason for 5 stars. He spent time explaining the options and benefits of the various phone plans. They had a simple chart that showed the pluses and minuses of each. I definitely would recommend this location to others looking for a clear understanding of what Verizon plan works best for them for price and options. read more

Wish I could give this store negative starts. I had problems with this store since switching and on Sunday I decided to walk in to see if it would be worth it to upgrade my phones. The african american gentleman helping me asked if he could access my account and then proceeded to tell me that I would pay more and therefore not worth it to make a change now. Today is Tuesday and I received a text saying congratulations on changing your plan. I immediately called Verizon to ensure this was a mistake as I never authorized him to change my plan. I was advised the plan did change without my knowledge, verizon ended up switching it back and reassuring me that my bill will not increase however what he did is considere fraud. Be ware and be careful even asking questions at this location !!! read more

Came in to get a new phone. At first no problems. The sales person was really nice and helped me out. I switched over from a family plan to another brand new plan. Was told I would get a $200 rebate, because of this. I went and applied for it only to be denied the $200 because I was a current customer of Verizon. I went into the store and called the customer service number only for them to apologize to me. I forgive you Verizon just give me my rebate! Also a month later I get my bill, only to be signed up for a $17 a month insurance. Not a big deal because I'm always dropping my phone so I would of gotten the insurance. It would of been nice to at least tell me about it. read more

My girlfriend came into this store only to be hit on and not helped at all by the one guy working there. He purposely waited until she was the last person in the store and didn't provide any help. Made her super uncomfortable and not want to return to the store. His name was Zach and he literally even gave her his cell phone number. Got lied to by the Caucasian young employee in store about returning equipment. I don't need the internet router he sold to me as part of a bundle deal that he was extremely pushy on. I figured what the heck I'll get it and try it out. Internet connection was spotty at best. So, I made the decision to return the router to this store, where I bought it from. I was even instructed by said employee that if I don't like it I can return it IN STORE within 30 days free of charge. While attempting to return it today, a different employee told me they don't accept in store purchased equipment??? What kind of games are you playing Verizon!!? I want answers! He told me to go to a UPS store and they'll provide me a tracking # to ship it to Verizon??? How am I sure Verizon will take the internet off of my bill? This is ridiculous. I went to go get a new phone. I have t Mobile and wanted to switch over and the two people working were quite possibly the most worthless people I've ever seen. The girl was looking at her phone and completely disinterested. The other guy who was lead salesman got an attitude when I said the girl wasn't helpful and acted like I was ruining his day for asking for help. I told them to learn what customer service is and left. I would never recommend this place and plan to speak to the manager cause they should know their employees are costing them money and are horrible employees whom need to be replaced. I seriously feel these people do not deserve their jobs. This place sucks read more

Dishonest practices, very unprofessional. Insist on getting your receipt before leaving and check it for unwarranted charges. Visited store and purchased S21+ Nov 30. During transaction, rep Kelsey C claimed a change of plan would save us money and reassured that my 9 lines would not be negatively affected. Would later discover we are paying MORE and had lost all our hotspots as well as being charged on a ton of extra junk. While she was gathering and applying case, screen protector, warranty, cables, chargers. I mentioned that I have so much of that stuff already and asked if it was included to which she said that it was part of their promotion. I accepted this answer but also asked for the receipt for the $300+ payment, which she said would be emailed and continued with migrating my data and applying the liquid screen protector which would prevent scratches. Rep Kelsey and Manager Justin went on to discuss the "crazy old" customer they had been helping and even complained about someone who was coming in to complain. Few days later... After 3 phone calls, was finally able to get receipt via Quentin Bias. As expected the receipt had charged me for everything except a screen cleaning kit. Unhappy, I returned to the store the next day to find Kelsey C working. There were already 2 other customers in the store so when she was free I mentioned that I had an issue with the charges I wanted to discuss when she was fee. She said when she was done with the customers she would help. Another rep entered the store, apparently called in to assist. He helped the 2nd customer out as another 2 customers entered over the next hour. After finish with the original customers, each rep chose to move onto the other customers over me by asking small questions and were about to send one customer to a different store and informing the other that they would be right with them to solve a technical issue. I waited patiently for 1.5 hours, not saying anything additional until they went back to the woman with the technical issue to now figure out the issue. Upset, I said "I think we should really solve my issue first". Kelsey agreed and led me to the front counter where I went over the details. As I explained my frustration, Kelsey said that the items I thought were included were promotional and pointed out the $30 I had saved by spending $300+. I remarked that I had told her during the transaction that I had plenty of cables and charges and no use for that specific case or liquid screen protector. She said I could return them if I had the box to which I pointed out that SHE had been the one to open and apply everything and that I had seen no reason to keep empty boxes. I mentioned the phone plan issue as well and was instructed to call in myself and try to change it but that she again had "saved" me money by getting a more expensive plan and getting a discount on it for 3 months. Keep in mind it was STILL more expensive than my previous, more comprehensive plan even with her discount. She claimed there was nothing else she could do, I mentioned that having worked retail Im positive there was always plenty that could be done to which she claimed only Justin had that ability and that I would have to come in when he was in. I left upset and frustrated to say the least. I was able to revert my plan back, but not able to meet with Justin thus far. read more

We explained to James that we needed to use Video Relay Service for their credit department to ask us questions. It was a challenge and James was polite and patient the entire time! I don't usually go into the store in person to do anything with my mobile or my mobile service, in this occasion I decided to go in so I could physically check out a few phones I was interested in, the second I got there I was greeted by both the manager and customer service rep Robert, they both asked what I needed help with and I went to Robert for help. Not only was he helpful, best of all he was patient! My previous phone was flashing on and off, turning off and off etc... He spent about an hour and a half with me helping me and making sure I was satisfied with the help he gave me before I left the store. I've never bought my iPhone accessories from a Verizon store because they always seemed way over priced, but he got me discount on the case and the screen protector with the warranty. We went in to sign a Verizon contract in order to get a new phone (the same style but just a new one). The phones here are less expensive than going to an actual Verizon store or ordering through Verizon on line. This makes it worth going here. We paid $50, but will get it back through a rebate. The same phone at Verizon would have been $100 minus the $50 rebate, making it a $50 out of pocket cost! However, the first time I went in, the woman made it very clear to me that the style of phone I was choosing would require no money down at all and no rebate to process. The next day when she was gone, the story changed. Also, we had no idea we were dealing with a store that is not really a Verizon store, since the words "Go Wireless" are not predominant in their signage. So there are TWO contracts that you sign - one with Go Wireless and one with Verizon! We didn't realize this until we got home, because when you sign the contract electronically, it is not even printed so you can read it! When we got home and looked through the paperwork, we were very nervous about what we had signed. When my husband read that there will be a $30 upgrade fee which will appear on our Verizon bill, he blew a gasket, since the salesman hadn't mentioned this. He called to talk to the manager who convinced him that that is a charge from Verizon which applies to every one of their customers. I did verify that through Verizon customer service. My advice to other customers: Take heed, the sales people are fuzzy about the fees and rebate information which will affect you. Ask for a printout of the contract before you sign so you can ask about all that the salesman forgot to tell you. If you are willing to go through this extra diligence, I think you will save enough money that it will be worth it. read more

I feel more confident that I will get better service from them in the future if I need to go here. One customer was at the desk and one customer was waiting. After about five minutes, the guy waiting left. The guy at the counter did not acknowledge us even though the current customer had a complicated request. We waited about ten more minutes because we had already invested time waiting. He finally acknowledged us only to tell us we couldn't trade in the phone because apparently it's not a corporate store, even though it says Verizon all over the place. How am I supposed to know? Worst customer service from 2 men working on 9/3/2020 I witnessed one of the employees racially profile another customer in the store at the same time I was. He was extremely rude to the customer and treated him like a criminal. Then, while talking to the other salesman, I went ahead and added a line to an existing account but the phone wasn't in store so I told them to order it, and he said it would be there in 2 days time.. I waited a week to receive a call, text or email (which they said they would) I Calle dseveral times, once 5 days later when I was told it hadn't arrived yet, the next 2 times I received no answer. I returned today to see what was going on and where my device was, and he said that it had been here for days.... he claimed that he attempted to call me, though I never recieved any missed calls from him or anyone else at this store. So I told him that I was frustrated as I had been waiting days for the phone call or any type of contact from him.. I told him to give me a minute and call my daughter to see if she still wanted the phone and before I could say another word he started typing on his computer and said, "okay, you're done." I said, what? you cancelled it?" He replied yes, You're good to go." ... fine by me as I will NEVER do business here again.. It was a great place to come to years ago when my husband and I would come here to get away from the sales sharks and attitudes at the other corporate Verizon stores.. we had a great experience with a young man who worked there at the time who was also a veteran and informed us of the veterans discount, which we hadn't been told about for years.. so we enjoyed coming here, but I will NEVER shop here or do any business here again. I don't know who these pompous guys think they are, but that is NOT how you treat customers.. they act like we don't matter as if they'll just make the money elsewhere.. well not when you run off good, hardworking paying customers. I hope the man who was profiled gets a chance to speak to the manager or someone at corporate and expose the injustice and cruelty the employees exhibited. read more

The worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, my paperwork wasn't ready so I went to get lunch. When I received my first bill they completely changed my request and I am now paying near $800 (device payment plan) for a phone that was on sale for $199 (2 year contract price). They kept a returned device instead of sending it back to the Verizon warehouse and I've now had to cancel my service, have spent 3 months on the phone to try and solve this, deal with phone bill after phone bill for a device I don't have and have now had to get a lawyer involved to save my credit because of these scam artists!!! I've contacted the local news to also do a story on this scam of a business! Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***update!!!! I will now be getting the police involved. 2000 dollars has gone onto my credit for a phone I do not have. The police have now told me that this is a theft situation considering I have proof of return with a receipt and a tracking number. Excellent Service! Amanda helped my wife and I set up our new iPhones 6 and plus. She loaded all the past data on to our lap-top computer and transferred all apps to our new phones. Was spot on in the time it took to transfer all data, which was appreciated in letting me know when to come back. Amanda gave excellent customer service and I appreciated her help and friendly service. Walked in to get a new phone just after 7 pm, walked out right before close at 8 with a new phone, cheaper monthly bill (even including the addition of iPhone 6S payments) and a $12 tablet upgrade.
