In the massive annals of failed customer service, this one would take up a freeway sized aisle. My wife and I attempted to get upgrade phones on our AT&T service. Paid for the phones. Then we get an "undeliverable" notice on our order, so we called customer service to sort it out. We're told our address cannot be found because they use UPS. We have received UPS orders for years. We connect with customer service, and spend two hours trying to explain our correct address to an agent whose fourth language is fractured English. After all that time we are told it's still undeliverable to the address. OK, on to plan B. I ask them to send our order to our local AT&T store for us to pick up. The gentleman took another 20 minutes offline to come back and say they cannot do that. He told us we had to go to the store and find our phones there and purchase. Not only does our local store not have the phones we want, they tell us that indeed we CAN have our phones delivered there. Nobody seems to have their stories straight. We ended up cancelling our order for a refund, and will take our chances on finding the phones we originally ordered at the AT&T store. Hot take here. AT&T's reported profit for 2024 was 10.7 billion dollars. Apparently, not enough profit to employ Americans in need of jobs who actually speak the language. Apparently, AT&T feels tethered to employing sweat shops in Bangladesh to pay the workers pennies, piss off their customers, and add to an even more bloated profit margin. Added irony: AT&T is a more than generous donor to the both Trump campaigns. The same Trump on the rampage against immigrants and foreigners in general, the likes of which are employed in throngs by AT&T. On Nov 6 I talked with the salesman who convinced me to make the switch from Spectrum. We scheduled the install for the next day on 11/7. The tech arrived, and after about an hour he said that he couldn't complete the installation because a box needed to be dug and installed in my yard. Three days later the box was installed, so I contacted AT&T to reschedule a technician to come and install the service. I scheduled the installation for today 11/13 between 10-noon and took the day off of work. By noon, nobody had showed up or called, so I contacted AT&T customer service to see what the issue was. There was a long hold time, so I elected to get a call back. I received the callback at 1245 and spoke with the rep whose name I couldn't understand. He asked what time my technician was supposed to be here and I told him. He said "bare with me for a moment while I check" and the line disconnected. I immediately called back and waited on hold for 20 minutes before I spoke with a different rep. He asked the same questions and then offered to reschedule me for installation tomorrow on 11/14. I told him I wanted to speak with a supervisor. When I spoke with Dean, he was nice and did what he could to help me. But in the end, there was a "hold" placed on my order, so when the second technician received the workorder, it was automatically canceled. I have to wait until "approximately 11/15" for everything to be done and to schedule installation (FOR THE THIRD TIME). All of these issues stem from technicians/dispatchers/customer service reps not putting any notes on the order to know what needs to be done and what has already been done. I have not even used AT&T services yet, and Im already regretting moving to this company. Even if I end up saving money and getting better or more channels or speed, it has done me no good because I cant even use the services. Its not worth all the BS and I will absolutely not recommend using AT&T if anyone asks me. read more

I had purchased AT&T Internet Air at the AT&T store. They charged my card five times that same day stating their system is down. I was told to come back in a week and the $500 will be refunded. (100 for each time they tried to create an account, five times total) When I received my "AT&T Internet Air"both of the upload and download speeds maxed out at 0.8 Maximum speed upload and download was literally 0.8 I was guaranteed anywhere from 40 to 150 But 0.8 ? Kenneth W Hyatt was super helpful in setting AT&T Fiber as I moved in. Not only did he get the work done in a timely fashion, he went above and beyond and tested the primary ethernet ports that I would be using, as well as gave tons of helpful tips on how to deal with any issues. I was having issues with my internet connection and needed to have a technician come out to see what the issue was. I was given a window of arrival between 8AM-12PM, Mr. Kenneth Hyatt was able to text me early in the morning and inform me that he would be at my home within 15 minutes arriving on time. Once here he was very friendly and professional. I appreciate he took his time in finding out what the issue was, having to drive up to the main box and realizing what the issue was. He explained every step of what he was doing and was able to resolve my problem. It was a long process, but with him explaining everything he was doing was worth it. My internet is running better and I no longer need to run an ethernet line from my kitchen to my office. That was the best part. On 9/18- I tried to upgrade my Google pixel 6 pro to a Samsung Galaxy 24+ online. I had problems, so I had to contact AT&T via chat. They called me and did the entire transaction including payment. It went easy and I received the phone on 9/23. I did my data transfer and put in my sim card on 9/25, immediately my account was shut down at 6:15pm. I didn't understand what happened, so I had to use another cell phone to contact AT&T. It took 20 mins to get a rep on the line.  She went through my acct, saw I owed nothing (I always pay my bills on time) and then asked me if I reported a lost/stolen phone. I told her no. She asked me if I had the Google pixel 6 pro and Samsung 24+ phones in front of me and I told her yes. She said ok, but she couldn't fix my acct she would have to transfer me to technical support. This took 45 mins.  Technical support came on the line and started interrogating me. He asked me where I bought the phone, how did I do the transaction, when did I get it. I had to read the EID numbers off each phones and then he put me on hold, then he came back to ask me more questions. At this point I got upset, I told him to review their records since AT&T did the transaction, they sold me the phone, they sent me the phone, they should have everything in their records so stop interrogating me and look everything up. He put me on hold again and eventually came back on the line to tell me, he is sorry- on Sept. 17th; the phone they sent me was reported stolen. However, it was taken back to the store and then sent to me. When I put my sim card in the phone, it shut down my account since now it looked like I stole the phone.  I told him, ok how are you going to fix this since I also use my phone for work. This is unacceptable. It took him another 25 mins to get my acct on line, so my sim card could work in my old phone. I had to drop the "stolen phone" to the UPS store so they could receive it(on 9/26). I called them today, 9/30. Another process getting them on the phone. Another issue getting them to recognize that they now have the "stolen phone" which they have now even started to process. The phone is still on my acct. Even though they admit this is completely their fault once again, I can't get a new phone or have anything done for another 7 days. Then, they will give me back my money and I will have to redo the process again myself.  Throughout this entire process, all I'm getting is empty apologies. No recourse for their actions. Since they will not send me the phone I actually paid for, they will have to refund my money. They will not re-send me the samsung 24+ phone, because even though they admit they sent me the "stolen phone," on my account it looks like I used a stolen phone; therefore now even once they clear it, they can't do anything. I don't want anything to do with a company that treats customers like criminals, when the company makes a mistake. Once I get my money, I'm going to Verizon or Team Mobile. Just wanted to let the public know. Great customer support AT&T, you really show much you value our time and business. read more

AT&T came through our neighborhood laying fiber. Had to come trough our year, took about 2 weeks. Took down part of our newish fence to do it. First picture is what our fence should look like, then you see how they left it. Metal sticking out, bare metal screws for the few screws they even used putting it back up. So many problems, and the biggest one will be fighting with them to fix it. If they are coming through your neighborhood, tell them NO they can't take down your fence. If I could give them negative stars I would. One star is one too many. read more

Customer line told me to go to ATT store - ATT store told me to call customer line. Back and forth for weeks. Lied at Best Buy about trade in. It's all a scam. I'm so disgusted with them - reminds me now why I stopped using them years ago. Will be looking for a new provider ASAP!
