Eric's quote was reasonable, well thought out and easy to understand. Of the 4 bids I requested, Wire Genie came in the middle in price but Eric was heads and above in his consideration and scoping of the task whereas many other installers seemed to be guestimating effort. Eric had a number of helpful suggestions both from camera positioning to running lines for future use and he did a phenomenal job on running a POE Doorbell camera behind brickwork and only needing one access cut that, at his suggestion, we put a 2-outlet blank faceplate over for future access/maintenance if needed. All cables were carefully labeled and terminated into my server rack patch panel. Awesome work!

Eric is now that guy for me with networking. My home has never had good internet. It was built before internet was much of a thing, it's stone, has radiant barrier, outdated connections, nonstandard shape, etc. I prepped Eric for these challenges among others and told him I had very high standards. He was undeterred and we set up a consultation. Eric had to have really impressed me, as I let him drill through stone which is highly uncharacteristic of me. I now have rock solid WiFi both inside and outside my house ~600Mbps for an extended distance and constant speeds over Ethernet even faster than that. I highly recommend Eric to bring an old home up to modern technological standards.

I had the guys at Mesa install a media room in a house I moved into in 2009. They did an amazing…read morejob. Exquisite attention to detail. Top of the line products available but did not try to up-sell me and were very knowledgable about the products/options and installation. They are not super speedy (in getting the actual job done....they are absurdly fast in calling you back and scheduling an appointment) but they pay attention to detail that you really need in this type of work. Any trouble I ever had with the system and they came out quickly and without any hassle. They treated me with respect and never assumed I was a stupid girl who didn't get IT/AV equipment. I then built a new house a few years later and wanted my builder to use Mesa to do the whole house wiring. He refused as he said he thought they were too expensive. I really should have insisted. I ended up having them come out after the fact to install my whole house AV equipment and set it all up. Again I was floored by how professional they were. They are on time. They call before they come. They call to follow up. They respond to emails in a timely fashion. They treat your house and belongings with respect. They are generally very pleasant humans who work there that I enjoyed interacting with on a personal level. Every single problem I've had with the AV equipment wether it be my kid's new PlayStation that I wanted hooked into the whole game room AV system, to crappy service from TWC who I couldn't get out to solve my problem that Mesa solved with no issue whatsoever, to fixing random blown bits of equipment that failed.....all without any hassle or headache. Every single encounter I have had with them in the past 7 years has been just so impressive. I have had a lot of time to interact with them setting up new systems, fixing problems with old systems, fixing things they installed that happened to go wrong, fixing problems other people/companies made....all without a hitch. Every time I interact with them I tell my friends that it is worth every single penny I've paid them over the years (and.....it's been quite a lot when you include all the equipment I've bought) has been worth it. Steve, Mike and Heath...you guys are amazing. I cannot recommend them with any higher regard. They set a standard that is very very hard to match.

Really great experience (from start to finish) working with this family-owned company! When I say…read morefamily-owned, I mean that Mary, her husband, and their son will come to your house to install your new system. That level of family-owned. First and foremost, Mary has fantastic communication. When I initially sent my quote request, she responded quickly and thoroughly. Throughout the process, I had multiple questions (new to this), and she took the time to carefully reply to each question via email. This level of responsiveness is super important to me especially when it's a field I'm not knowledgeable in. There are a lot of moving parts when alarming a house and it was important that I understood exactly what we were getting. Her team did a great job installing our new security system. Everyone was very nice and professional. They took the time to explain everything and asked our input (regarding placement, etc.) whenever necessary. Mary carefully went through everything in the app to get me set up and familiar with the interface. They were also very respectful of our home -- offering to either remove shoes or put on their own shoe covers (we're a shoe-free household with small children so this is important to us). I also really appreciated how customizable everything was. There are so many different options that are offered with the security system (including a lot of automation like locking doors and controlling lights, etc. that we weren't actually interested in). If you're a newbie like me, I'll break down the basic security options. It helps to have some understanding of what's available before you get started. I was a little overwhelmed but Mary was helpful in answering my questions. Anyway, you've got a keypad that controls your alarm system (arm/disarm). You can do that via app (even if not home) or key fob. Then you've got your various sensors. Obviously, the door open sensors are a must. They'll trigger the alarm if someone opens the door (when armed) and is unable to enter the proper disarm code. Then you've got the option of installing window open sensors. There are also glass break sensors (generally, one per small room or two for large rooms) that will notify you if a glass break is detected (or if house is armed, set off the alarm). Finally, you've got motion sensors (these are automatically turned off when you arm your system in stay mode versus away). Assuming you'll wire the doors, you need to decide if you want glass breaks and if so, whether they will cover full home or just most vulnerable areas; if you want window sensors and if so, on all or some windows (might depend on your window type and vulnerability to window being manually opened and whether glass breaks might be sufficient); and whether you want motion sensors and which areas you want them to cover. I'd recommend doing some preliminary research/planning on how these tools might fit your home and what coverage is necessary versus overkill. It depends on your layout, etc. Next, you've got cameras. They offer WiFi-based cameras (operated through alarm.com) and standard wired cameras. Video doorbells too. We replaced our Ring with their doorbell cam to centralize our camera controls. You can have everything controlled through the alarm.com app for convenience. The app is great -- very user-friendly. Anyway, there are a lot of other options available as well that I didn't even delve into. Thought I'd share the basics to get you started. Don't hesitate to use this company! They offer free in-person consultations and fantastic service -- professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. Oh and their rates seem reasonable and competitive. Very pleased with this experience as well as our new alarm system! BIG THANK YOU!
