Absolutely amazing service. After having tried unsuccessfully to get anyone to even call me back Chris was prompt, professiona, did amazing work and turned my request around on a dime. My highest possible recommendation. read more

They seemed so indifferent to my project. I felt like I involved them early on only to feel like they didn't feel engaged. The work is high level in terms of install. They left me with audio not syncing to lips and I had to spend a considerable amount of time playing with the marantz amp, Gemini AI and tv to 'fix it'. My Bravío 9 tv picture and adjustments might have been configured. Or not. Who knows? I don't use this space a lot so was looking for a turn key solution. I had suggested another amp and they said you get this one without telling me why I wanted it. I ended up researching and overall the wattage is better and the receiver is better for my system but no one took the time to communicate the why on equipment. I felt like they were a better option then Best Buy install but ultimately left lacking. If I have a question today about the system i wouldn't feel comfortable reaching out with questions. This install was right before the Super Bowl. read more

Chris did a fantastic job of reworking our house so that our internet was fast across our whole house. He's a great problem solver, good communicator, and super professional to work with. In a few hours he had the internet speed way faster and also helped with our Sonos. Thank you Chris! read more

I was lucky enough to come across Chris and his team a few years ago. He is punctual, polite and extremely knowledgeable for all issues relating to my sound system. I'm an admitted amateur but have been enjoying high end systems for 40 years. I have never come across an expert that has Chris's understanding of requested upgrades to my surround sound and internet needs. He also has been kind enough to troubleshoot via the phone or internet when that's all that is required. Technology Guru has a customer for life. read more

Excellent problem solving and service. Chris and his team are highly recommended. They do clean organized work and go over details with us.

When we were building our home in 2019, we were fortunate to find Chris and The Technology Guru team. They handled all of our audio-visual needs in the home, including television and music. They were professional, knowledgeable and very courteous and pleasant to have around. What is amazing is the care and follow-up we've received since the installation of the equipment. Chris will remotely trouble shoot with us nights and weekends. He is always helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure our complex system is running optimally, including working the bugs out from inadequate work from other companies (Spectrum, DISH). Chris and Technology Guru have my highest recommendation if you want a professional AV system and exemplary customer service and follow up. I would not use anyone else after the incredible service Chris has given us. read more

Having a solid knowledge base in AV and Electronics, as well as understanding of proper cable running and management, I interviewed several AV companies and found Technology Gurus to be the most knowledgeable and capable company. I was able to talk through short and long term goals for my home, different technologies and finer points of the system. They had answers and suggestions to questions I had trouble finding the answers for online. All of this was taken into account including budget. Chris and his team were able to understand my family's vision and delivered flawlessly. They took precautions that I've seen overlooked, and made sure to future proof everything. They even found me some great Black Friday deals. My family and I had our first movie night in the new Media Room, the kids loved it. The only problem is now we want the same quality/experience everywhere :) We're looking forward to many more movie nights and to future expansion of our AV system and whole house automation. read more

They came to Wimberley. Chris and his guys are knowledgeable, practical, punctual, and affordable. Great experience.

These guys are fantastic !! Chris and his team came to install our new laser projector and ran into a rare issue. They discovered there was a bug in the projector firmware. They worked directly with the manufacturer's engineers, identified the source of the problem, and implemented a solution. Seeing their technical expertise, problem solving abilities and work ethic was impressive ! You won't find a better, more capable installer anywhere. read more

We live in a very rural part of Wimberley and I needed a full setup. Wi-Fi, network, TVs, music. Chris was amazing. He patiently worked through various proposal options, reusing as much of my previous stuff as practical. I got several proposals but Chris inspired the most confidence by far. They did it all. Mounted TVs inside and out. Cell booster. Ceiling antenna. Full network. Speakers everywhere. He got wiring through areas that the other bidders said they couldn't do. He and Eric did an amazing job. The work was flawless - clean, professional, and works beautifully. I'm on Zoom and Teams all day and have no issues. The TVs and music work great. These guys are the best. Amazing work and very fair pricing. The highest possible recommendation. read more

We used Technology Guru for installation of a Control4 system and home audio system, including a home theater system in the living room and entire home audio with Sonos. We now have our all audio, lighting and automated shades, installed by Technology Guru. Chris is knowledgable and since our first installation, we've had him back to do several add-ons (smart home is addicting). I highly recommend pulling the trigger on automated shades, they are the best thing we ever did. Super clean installation, great wire management and organized set up. read more

Perfectionists. Technology Guru installed a Mantle Mount over the fireplace mantle in our home. The tile facing the fireplace is a complex form made out of natural stone. They painstakingly worked to provide the best fit without damaging the tile. They also come in very organized and work very cleanly. We are very pleased with their work and highly recommend. read more

My new house was configured for ethernet but in the control panel the ends were not terminated. Also I needed ethernet added to the one room that it was not installed in. The tech was able to complete the services in under three hours, including dropping line in new room and terminating, testing all ends in the control panel. I was very impressed by the work that was completed, especially the cable management and ends terminated everything was done so neatly. The hourly rate of $200 seemed high but I'm not too bothered because of the work that was performed was extremely professional and clean. I would recommend anyone to the Tech Gurus that needed this type of work completed. read more

Chris (and Eric) just got done wiring up WiFi access points, a management console, upgraded routers, and a bunch of amps and speakers throughout the house and I couldn't be more ecstatic with the results. I've been wanting to have a fully capable solution for sometime and we finally got around to it. I'm tech savvy enough to be dangerous, but not thoroughly versed to do it right myself. I explained to Chris what I was looking for and he walked me through the options and we (he more than me) came up with a solution that made sense for our situation. After the components arrived, Chris & Eric came out and installed everything over the course of two days. It is now operational and I am thrilled. They were neat, cleaned up after themselves, and have everything tucked away nicely. The system is built around Unify and Sonos components and Chris walked me through managing the network and components and connecting the Sonos to various services. It couldn't be easier. This is da bomb ... it may be a little pricey, but the results are fantastic. If you are so inclined, I would highly, highly recommend reaching out to Chris. Wow! read more

100% Recommended!!!!!!! We have had such great work done by Chris and his team. Chris has been with us for years on multiple properties and projects. Him and his team have always done an excellent job. Everything is always completed in a timely manner. Has gone above and beyond in many situations where we have had technical issues. They are always a pleasure to be around and work for an affordable rate. Very reliable and always on time. Can't say enough good things about them. read more

So, Technology Guru sent a tech to run a hardline for my internet because my WiFi is dragging. This is a short term fix for us but the tech was outstanding. My wife and I were both working off our computers in the home due to the pandemic and the tech was extremely cognizant of this fact, doing a swift, clean and courteous job. Just a great experience. I need more work but this will do for now and they did what I asked them to do, in spades. Def recommend this Co. read more

They installed a roof antenna and did a great job. The network over the air channels come in fantastic. Only took him about 2.5 hours. I would highly recommend them. read more

I'm always concerned when I'm seeking help for a smaller project. Price quotes I received from a few competitors proved me right. I wanted 3 Ethernet drops to the more difficult locations in my house. The fellows from Technology Guru were in and out in under two hours and you couldn't tell they were here except for the neat, new ports on the wall. They even consolidated their outlet with my other cable/satellite outlets to minimize the impact on my walls. Couldn't recommend them higher. Oh, and their price . . . the lowest quote. Time to schedule . . . next business day. read more

Chris is a superb professional at everything he does! I originally met him last year when he was doing some contract installation work for Suddenlink and I was struck by how meticulous he was at not just setting my cable boxes like any other tech, but actually clamping and organizing all the cables to make things as neat as possible, something even I never tried to do. He stood out to me right then as I'd never seen any cable tech do that and I learnt that he had his own business but was also doing some installations for Suddenlink (he has since focused on his business fulltime) Soon afterwards, I hired him to mount ALL the TVs in my house and he did an AMAZING job on each and every one. He makes the TVs look just like pictures on the wall as he routes all cables from equipment to inside the wall then back out behind the TV which gives it such a clean look! To top it off, if you have a "cosmetic" issue with your TV mount such as cables showing, he comes back to fix it and make it perfect! Excellent customer service, and very reasonable prices. Chris also does way more than that, including full custom solutions where you can put all your equipment in a media closet and have nothing but the TV and remotes/game controllers in your room. I definitely look forward to using his services more in the future. read more

Excellent, clean, professional installation of 2 outdoor nest cams. Contacted Tech Guru's and Chris got back to me quickly with a quote. Came out and put in Control 4 (a very sophisticated and expensive system). Also sold me a very expensive received (over $1,000) because he said the Sony I had (which was a few months old) would not support my system. I told the technician that my husband had Parkinsons and dropped things often so I didn't want anything fragile. He assured me his two year old threw his remote across the room with no problem. About a few months in, my husband dropped the remote (about 12-15 inches onto a hardwood floor). The remote went all black and never recovered. I called to ask about it and was told I had "damaged" it and there was nothing they could do. Warranty was no good since I damaged it. Have had nothing but problems with the whole (extremely expensive) system. I've called back to ask for assistance and was told he had taken ill and would not be returning, nor will he take my calls. I would not recommend this company. I'd like to add, in response to your response, that you were not "bombarded" with phone calls. At one point, you promised me a new remote. You said they had been on back order but when they came in, you would replace my faulty one. Then, you even went so far as to call and say they had arrived and you would be replacing mine. Then, you simply stopped taking my calls. Do you remember that, Chris? That is when you came up with the excuse that you were struggling with an illness and would not be replacing my remote. During the heavy rains, my whole system went out including wifi. I called Spectrum. They fixed my wifi but, again, the remote was completely dark. He looked at my whole system and said he had never seen such a mess of chords. He then called an AV specialist to try and help me, and that guy agreed that he had never seen anything like my system and sited several problems with how it was hooked up. After all this time, I now have a huge amount of money tied up in this disaster. Yes, you deserve this review. read more

Highly recommend Chris, the tech guru! He did a phenomenal job mounting 3 TVs and installing CAT 6 in our home! He was very courteous and knowledgeable on all things "tech" - and his quote was very reasonable. I look forward to working with him in the future on more Smarthome projects. read more

Chris from Technology Guru went above and beyond with helping me come up with a system for music integration into my home. His proposal was very detailed and his workmanship and attention to detail was nothing short of stellar. He was able to work with some of my existing speakers an incorporated additional speakers in the ceiling to complete the whole surround experience. He has great products and excellent product support when needed. I have been beyond pleased with him and his company and highly recommend him to do anything music, alarm, or Home integration of any type. read more

Chris was great! He gave me a good quote which was lower than another quote I got from another guy. Also "the other guy" suddenly lowered his quote when I told him that I was getting bids. Chris gave me a good estimate right off the bat. Even though my project was "small potatoes" in comparison to his other job, he came out and worked his butt off. He was on time, courteous, and cleaned up. I already recommended him to a friend. read more

Chris from Technology Guru came out to our home and gave us an estimate and promptly came out and got the work all done. I hired Technology Guru to install my projector and in-ceiling/wall surround sound for my home theater room. The owner, Chris, attends every job. He is friendly, and I found him to be very thorough and thoughtful in his planning process. He provided multiple proposals with different options that I could pick from based on what we discussed and his findings. I felt comfortable hiring his company after the consultation. Technology Guru was competitively priced and scored me a sweet deal on some new speakers. They worked with my schedule and did a clean professional install. They also took the time to help me configure my audio equipment and walk me through some use cases.
