I had suggested another amp and they said you get this one without telling me why I wanted it. I ended up researching and overall the wattage is better and the receiver is better for my system but no one took the time to communicate the why on equipment. I felt like they were a better option then Best Buy install but ultimately left lacking. If I have a question today about the system i wouldn't feel comfortable reaching out with questions. We did encounter some issues, however, Matt had his team work with us to correct them as we encountered them (i.e. faulty pre-wire causing false-positives on the alarm). Eric's quote was reasonable, well thought out and easy to understand. Of the 4 bids I requested, Wire Genie came in the middle in price but Eric was heads and above in his consideration and scoping of the task whereas many other installers seemed to be guestimating effort. Eric had a number of helpful suggestions both from camera positioning to running lines for future use and he did a phenomenal job on running a POE Doorbell camera behind brickwork and only needing one access cut that, at his suggestion, we put a 2-outlet blank faceplate over for future access/maintenance if needed. All cables were carefully labeled and terminated into my server rack patch panel. Awesome work!

Eric is now that guy for me with networking. My home has never had good internet. It was built before internet was much of a thing, it's stone, has radiant barrier, outdated connections, nonstandard shape, etc. I prepped Eric for these challenges among others and told him I had very high standards. He was undeterred and we set up a consultation. Eric had to have really impressed me, as I let him drill through stone which is highly uncharacteristic of me. I now have rock solid WiFi both inside and outside my house ~600Mbps for an extended distance and constant speeds over Ethernet even faster than that. We spoke with several companies, both big national providers and smaller local ones, and ultimately went with Securimax. What stood out was their local presence and the hands-on approach, especially from Jack, the CEO. The installation itself was fairly involved and took most of the day, but everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Since then, their service has continued to impress. They're very responsive whenever we have questions and have been flexible in helping us adjust or expand the system as our needs evolve. Overall, it's been a really positive experience.

Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with!…read more I hired this security company thinking I was protecting my home, but instead I got stress, wasted money, and zero accountability. The installer showed up late, seemed completely unprepared, and didn't even know how the system was supposed to work. Sensors were crooked and one camera works only sometimes. When I asked about it, I was told "that's how I was told to do it" and "most people think it's ok". The system went offline multiple times, including once while we were out of town. What's the point of paying for the services if it doesn't work when you need it most? Customer service is a joke. Calls go unanswered and when someone finally responds, they act like you are the problem. Every issue was blamed on my internet, my phone, or "user error," even though the system wasn't working rights from day one. How is it my fault when the app says that a camera is offline? What am I supposed to do but contact them. I pay them monthly for the service, so if something says it is not working then I think it's reasonable to say I can call them. What is not reasonable is for there to be no customer service when the system is malfunctioning. To make matters worse, I was locked into a contract and threatened with cancellation fees instead of offered real support or a fix. If you care about your safety, your money, or your sanity, stay far away from this company. I regret ever signing up. I thought I was doing good by going with a small company, but I should have called ADT, Vivint, or someone bigger.

I wanted some hard wired security cameras since WiFi seems to always be spotty these days. They not only gave me great quality cameras that I can view from my TV, I can also view them remotely from my phone. This company also installed a really cool alarm panel that displays my photos when not in use, a keyless entry lock on my front door, and I can remotely open and close my garage door.. I'm gonna ask them back soon for the carbon monoxide detector since we have a fire place, hopefully a sensor on my driveway to tell me when someone passes it, and connect my monitoring system to my irrigation system and my outdoor lights to make them remote as well.
