Billy was great. Had him over one day to mount my 46" and 52" tv in the bedrooms. He got the job done quickly and efficiently by himself. I just showed him where to mount it, where the bottom of the tv was supposed to be and he went at it. Two days later I had him back over to corner mount my 70". This was a very special mount since they don't make many corner mounts and there was a window in the way. Long story short Billy built me a custom framing for my mount and hung the TV. He then ran wires through the wall to get my cabling in to the room behind it where I could hide the set top box. He also worked very late to accommodate my schedule. Second edit: a month or so has passed and I noticed that the drywall around the mount was cracking. I took it down. EDITED REVIEW -- to incorporate response from Business Owner Billy was about 2 hours late, but he did let me know ahead of time that he was delayed. I understand. From the very get go he was in a huge hurry to get it done. I understand that a business like this functions only because he is able to do so many installs per day, which requires some speed. However, I personally would be more comfortable paying more money for a bit more attention to detail and at least the appearance of taking your time. I had concerns going in to this install because I asked him to install a fully articulating mount (swings out about 25" from the wall) into my condo unit interior wall with 5/8" drywall and metal studs. Billy quickly dismissed my concerns about doing this kind of mount into metal studs and stated that I probably wouldn't even have the mount extended most of the time anyways. Simply put, I'm worried about the integrity of the mount. His rush to finish the job also led to the bolts not being fully tightened. I removed the TV and the swing arm and tightened the bolts hoping that would fix it. The mount pulled away from the wall somewhat over the first few days. A month or so later the drywall was cracked and it scared me to the point where I took it down. In my original review I stated, "He also got fingerprints all over my new 4KTV." Billy seemed to take extreme offense to this. This may seem like a frivolous complaint to some, but if you're going to call yourself "Professional TV Mounting" then you should be a bit more careful. To be fair, they weren't "all over" the TV, but his hands were greasy from the various installs he had performed that day and it took a good ten minutes to wipe off those prints. Overall, Billy came out the day he said he would, charged a price near what was quoted , and installed my TV on the wall. However, I have had to take it down and now have to completely redo the work. With regard to the price being near what was quoted to me, Billy commented that he waived his $15 mount assembly fee, but that wasn't mentioned in the email from his assistant. My email made it clear that I wanted him to assemble the mount. Billy also stated that the charge for using Square ($5) is mentioned on his site. I just went to his site and couldn't find it on the homepage or the price list page (using ctrl+F and searching for "square," "card," and "fee"). I understand Square takes their cut, but give me notice up front. The only reference I could find on his site is a note that says "We also use SQUARE!!!!" I am forced to rate this one star. Billy's response seems a bit extreme and in conflict with his statement that he can handle criticism. The bullet points: - Said he'd be out between 5 and 7pm; texted me at 7pm stating that he was running late; finally showed up at approximately 9pm - the work felt rushed -- again, I know he says he's done this thousands of times, but it *felt* rushed to me -- the vesa mount wasn't tightened before he attempted to lift it up and put it on the mount, I had to force him to slow down and look at the instruction booklet for the mount, and his general work ethic was that of a person in a hurry. When you've just spent some money on some new and expensive electronics the last thing you want is to have someone rush through an install - the quoted price in the email (where I informed his assistant of the type of mount I had, the details of my wall, and my concerns about mounting it securely) wasn't what he charged at the end of the install, and the fee for square was not mentioned up front - the mount was not secure. The drywall was beginning to crack.I have taken it down In a nutshell, you get what you pay for. There is a reason he charges less than the competition. Caveat emptor. Lastly, I think his response is quite telling. He says both that it's all fine and was installed perfectly and that I chose an inappropriate mount for my install. In my emails with him, I told him exactly what mount I had and that my interior wall had metal studs. The first I hear from him that it's not appropriate is in his edited response to my review. If you value your electronics, avoid Billy and his shoddy work! Ugh, final edit: yes I refused to accept a refund. Even though the work was shoddy and I eventually had to take it down and do it all over again, I believe that I should pay him for his time. That's why I refused a refund. In my text refusing the refund I did mention that I had given it three stars. I have since changed the rating to reflect the quality of the work over a longer period of time. My reason for refusing a refund still stands. I'm not sure what else is going on in Billy's most updated response. No, I haven't "admitted to using the wrong mount." I'm still using it today, I just had someone competent install it. read more

I would highly recommend Billy to hang your flat screen. He truly knows his stuff, and is quick, thorough and precise about what he does. Billy has mounted two televisions for me in the last few months. One was a large job, which included a 65" TV mount over the fireplace with wires routed through to a cabinet on the side. I also had him install speaker drops for a center, left and right. The job was done incredibly well and looks spectacular. Most recently I had him do a standard 52" TV mount with a wall drop in my bedroom. Another job well done, and he made sure that the drop was in line with the existing coax to reduce the amount of holes in my wall. Finally, I'll be having him come back to do a surround sound setup in my living room and outdoor speaker installation, both routed in my attic terminating in the same cabinet he originally setup for my fireplace mount. He had plenty of ideas and recommendations on how to do this too. Not only does he let you watch and ask questions, he encourages it. This way you can find out what he is doing and solve problems as they are happening. In my experience Billy has been prompt, professional and very open about everything he is doing while he is doing it. On top of that he is a truly good guy, and fun to talk to. Anyhoo, Billy was quick to respond and showed up as promised the very next day. Like other Yelp users, I saw someone bash him for not getting back to them as promised. Anyone considering using Billy should know that he's a guy, not a company. He answers his own phone, does his own work and does a great job. For great work at an honest price, there's no better example than Billy. He's willing to come in on evenings (which I actually preferred), and was able to hang my 55" LED in a little over an hour. I purchased all the cables and the TV mount and he had no problem using all of it. He didn't try to up-sell me on *his* HDMI cables or *his* mount. The only thing I needed were wall covers for the new holes in the wall which he provided. The damage to my wall was minimal and the TV looks incredible. He arrived on time and promptly took off his shoes before entering my house. What? An installer that is thoughtful? He got right to work and explained what he was doing as he went on. I was very impressed with his work and his professionalism. Plus he is able to keep costs down by building his own mounts. He uses the same material that companies use to hang monstrous air conditioning units so I'm pretty sure my little flatscreen will be up there until I hire him again to take it down. He made all my cables disappear and did a final level check before he left. I gave him a $40 tip and his price was still half of what the other Austin installers charge their customers. Billy was an hour late the first. I told him it was a large tv, and a 2 man job to get it upstairs. He arrived alone, and could not get the tv upstairs. He told me he was coming soon at 3:30, and did not arrive for almost 2 hours. He was unable to find the HDMI cable, which came in the box with the mount so mounted the tv with a old extra long cord he had with him. He moves and works very fast, and attached my cable box to side of the mount.It fell off the next morning, disconnecting my tv. ATT was coming by today, so they replaced the HDMI cord for me, and reconnected the tv. Would not recommend this service. I would like to add that I did not not insult his friend, we were joking around, and I said he looked familiar, And reminded me of one of my son's friends. Billy seems very defensive that he was unable to get the tv upstairs alone, and in fact mentioned that to me. If this was not part of the service, he should have said that and I would have made arrangements to get the tv upstairs. Yes, he made an appointment and was late. His friend also seemed worried that he only used a few of the supplied screws to attach the tv and never said that the cable box would fall off-he said he could attach it with double stick tape, which I did not have. Billy was cool as hell. He came out to our house last night and offered up a ton of solutions for our TV mounting situation. Due to us having an interior wall, he gave us a solution for our TV that offered not a single wire being seen. I should upload a picture to give his job justice. He mounted the 55" TV on our living room wall within about 15 minutes of choosing our preferred wiring method, and he was immediately underneath his job. I knew right then that he was quite confident in his work. He also wired everything back into our laundry room (on the other side of the wall). If our cable box would've had an RF remote, we could even put the box in there. Fortunately, Billy told me that I could just get a different remote for our box and call him when I got it so he could walk me through how to wire it up myself.
