I'm long overdue in writing a review. I have used Billy (Professional TV Mounting 3 times now). He is excellent at what he does. This past week I had him hang two televisions in my new home. One in the living room in a built in recessed space above the fireplace and one in the upstairs playroom/media room. He is incredibly accurate at hanging and mounting televisions. I had used Billy once before in May 2012 based on the wonderful yelp reviews he had received on here. I recently called him in September to schedule him to mount 2 TVs, speakers and connect my receiver, game consoles, karaoke and cable to my existing tv....the TV that he had originally mounted for me....but had NO success. My first call was answered by him. He said he was on a job and that he would give me a call that night. Guess what? Nightfall came and NO CALL. Then I called him the next day several times and he never answered nor did he call me back. I called him the following day several times....NOTHING. then I tried to text him...in my text I told him that I had not heard back since my initial call and that it had been a few days...he FINALLY responds. He apologizes and tells me he has been swamped and that his wife is pregnant and that he is with her at the doctor's office. He asks me if Saturday would work for me, I said yes. He tells me he will check his schedule for Saturday and let me know later that day. Never heard from him that night. Next day I try calling him several times yet again...no answer and no call back. At this point I'm pretty disappointed...I mean come on! What kind of service is this?! So I finally decide to text him and let him know how disappointed I am....and voila! I get a response....Yet another excuse from him for the lack of response. I GET IT! We all have problems...we all have emergencies....I can be sympathetic and empathetic. But don't tell me you are going to call me back if you aren't. Don't give me a date and then never confirm. All he had to do was call me and say that he had a personal situation and that he'll give me a call next week or the week after...or something...anything! It's just common courtesy. At this point I had made up my mind not to use him ever again. I don't care how good he is or how fair his prices are....the lack of service had completely left a bad taste in my mouth and I was going to look for someone else who wanted my business. 2 days later I received a text from him asking me if I still wanted the work done. I really wanted to ignore him...but then that would make me sink down to his level. So I responded and told him I had hired someone else. The end. No response from Billy after that. I hope that no one else on here runs into the same problem I did. There is no doubt Billy knows what he is doing and can do a great job....so if you don't mind calling the guy a million times, texting him, and not knowing if he'll keep his commitments by all means schedule him. I told him I wanted to have my tv unmounted from the home I was selling and then mounted to a brick fireplace in my new home. The other thing was to have my surround sound speakers removed from the mounts. That was the scope of work. At my new home I wanted the tv mounted and wiring completed. I wanted the receiver, game console, cable tv to be connected. I'm sorry if I did not use the right terminology but I am not sure how else to explain this any other way. And once he arrived he could see what needed to be done. It's not my business to share that his wife was 8 months pregnant and having complications which is why I simply stated that he was at a doctor's appointment. I didn't think it was appropriate to share such personal details on the Internet where anyone would be able to read about it! I was not trying to downplay the importance or severity of the situation...but was trying to be considerate. I also understand that Billy has a right to refuse service...but in this case he is being untruthful about what really happened. How can he refuse service if he didn't even know what I wanted done? He wasn't responding? So that in itself doesn't make sense to me. As I had mentioned before, I understand that we have emergencies. I do hope that his wife and son are doing well. My problem was that he was not responsive and he could have just told me that he was going through a personal problem and would not be able to do the work. I would have understood but instead he led me to think that he was going to schedule it and then I never heard from him. I know he knows what he is doing. I just moved and had a friend look at my tv mount that Billy provided me. It's a piece of metal that he bent . There is no safety mechanism, it could fall right off if a kid pushed up on it. This is the first time I have used Professional TV mounting. We arranged the date and time via email, and Billy did call to tell me he was running late from a previous engagement. But it was worth the wait. The install went smoothly. This is despite the fact that the TV mount I had purchased was not going to look good with the TV I purchased (the brackets were going to stick out) -- so Billy provided his own solution on the spot (much cheaper than buying a new TV mount) and it looks great. While searching for Yelp, I was looking for someone to install my two TVs (1 living room and 1 bedroom), plus my two rear speakers to complete the surround sound system in the living room. He was very professional, prompt, and overall you can tell he is just a hard worker. A couple years ago, I used Pro TV Mounting to mount a 55 inch in an apartment. Billy works so hard and quick you can tell he's passionate about his craft. After thousands of installations he still treats each one like its his first, carefully measuring and installing to get it just right. Recently we moved and bought a new 65 inch 4K. I got 6 quotes from area installers and again Billy was the cheapest by a long shot. The next closest was twice the amount, most were three times. To my surprise Billy was charging the same amount he did from my first installation.
