Chris was the best! Answered my service request quickly. I had outside cameras and chandelier installed. Multiple outlets installed. Service was done efficiently. I highly recommend Chris at Max electric. Will definitely call them back for further electrical needs. read more

Max electrical Services responded quickly and came the same day I requested help. My fridge had lost power, along with several other plugs and another electrician couldn't fix it. Chris and Mason came to the door and spent a couple hours figuring out the problem that had stumped that other electrician. My house is old and some things done by previous owners were problematic like having that circuit powered by two breakers. They fixed that problem, fixed the outlets and installed a new breaker. They were very pleasant to deal with and they even brought treats for my dog. Will definitely call them going forward for all my electrical needs. Five stars! read more

I hired Max Electrical Services to install an outdoor outlet on my back patio to power some string lights, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. My electrician took the time to walk through where exactly I wanted it placed and talked through the best way to run the wiring to minimize visibility. Really appreciated that he made sure I was comfortable with the plan before getting started. The work itself was clean and professional, and the outlet works perfectly. What really impressed me was how helpful he was beyond just the electrical work. While he was here, my patio door handle completely broke off (totally unrelated to his work--someone else in my house broke it). He gave me some informal advice about what replacement part I'd need. Then when he had to run to the home improvement store to grab something for the outlet installation, he offered to pick up the door handle for me too. That kind of thoughtfulness and going the extra mile was great to see and highly appreciated since I had a busy day dealing with kids before a trip. I'd absolutely hire this company again and recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done. read more

I had an issue with a few outlets that didn't have power. I exhausted my troubleshooting skills looking for the problem. The crew came out the next day and quickly isolated the issue to a loose wire in one of the outlets that wasn't sending power downstream. Great timely service. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I called Max electric and we were able to schedule an appointment for the same day! My electrician and his apprentice were polite and knowledgable. I thought I needed to replace my fan, but they were able to re-program it with parts the manufacture had sent. I was also considering replacing vents in the bathroom, but they were able to fix them so that they were quieter with out replacing them. My only regret is that I didn't call them sooner. read more

Responsive, clear, friendly, great work. Had an EV charger installed , required some alternative parts because my panel was a bit funky, was completed and tested and all is great. Also very responsive on text and was willing to talk through options before I decided which charger to buy. read more

They did a great job installing an outlet on the ceiling for my garage door opener. His price was very reasonable.

Max Electric came out today and installed a pendant fixture in an area of our home that hadn't had an existing fixture. The work was completed in record time at a fair price and exceeded our expectations in every way. Darin was recommended to us by our realtor years ago when we bought our little house. We use Max Electric every time we need an electrician. They are experts. Competent, professional and friendly. We wholeheartedly recommend them to you. read more

A++! Darin is skilled and honest. I've gone through many electricians in Austin, good ones are hard to find. I'm happy I finally found one that I can trust. With him, you can be certain the job will only need to be done one time with no redos. read more

Quick response, professional, friendly service, and fair pricing--I highly recommend them!

Great service and excellent quality service! A pleasure to do business with Max Electrical , super to have this service in South Austin!

I've had these guys out on three different occasions and each time was great. The first time I couldn't figure out why my dryer kept dying midway through a load. Had an appliance guy out and they couldn't find anything. Turns out, a lizard had made a home in my outdoor breaker and caused some damage. We all had a good laugh and they quickly had it fixed. Second and third time they installed cameras and lighting for me. I appreciated that they gave me some options on what to do and weren't trying to upsell me on anything. Special shout out to DJ for going above and beyond on this last trip and for being so nice to my dogs while he worked. read more

2025 update: Our 58 year old house breaks sometimes. Recently we needed a way to simplify switches, and DJ came up with a clever solution. Then a high voltage wire had to be replaced. He worked quickly and diligently, even coming over on the weekend. DJ was smart, easy to communicate with, and pleasant. The bill was not as high as a lot of companies would have charged. read more

Speedy response and great service! I needed help installing my doorbell camera. DJ resolved the pre-existing wiring issue within 1.5 hours. Amazing work! Thanks. read more

I was having an issue with the plug for my dryer. I sent Max Electrical a message late Sunday night. By mid-Monday morning Darin had completed the repair at a reasonable price. I've used Max Electrical for our machine shop and their guy did a great job, high quality work done neatly without cutting any corners. During the 2023 ice storm, Darin and his team were all booked up, but he still took the time to give me honest feedback about what kind of repair I'd be looking at and what I could safely get by with until I could get an electrician out to fix the damage properly. Highly recommended and they'll be the first electricians I contact next time I need work done. read more

Perfect experience start to finish. Darin responded to my inquiry almost immediately whereas I had to wait days and even over a week for other companies to respond. Scheduling was a breeze. DJ and Mason showed up right on time, courteous, walked me through everything and knocked out the work within the hour. Great value for the quality of work. I would 100% recommend Max Electrical Services for any electrical work. I am going to be a repeat customer if and when I need further electrical work. read more

Pros: Competitive quote and pricing. On time, great communication, great post-job cleanup. Friendly and knowledgable in their work. We've used Max Electrical Services on two different projects and have been very happy with all their work. Darin is fantastic and has done a great job running and managing his business. We had a big project of installing can lights and switching out ceiling fans. DJ and crew stayed the whole day and got it all done. They were friendly and efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely use them again for our next electrical project. read more

These guys are the absolute best. I am a first time homeowner and Max Electrical was courteous, kind, mindful of my budget, and did their best to make sure that my spouse and I felt safe and comfortable in our new home. I will absolutely work with them on any electrical needs we have in the future. Wonderful company with an incredible team. read more

I am a huge fan of Max Electrical Services and have used them for a variety of services at my home over the past two years. I have had them run new power outlets for my wall mounted TVs as well as install new network cable connections. I also had them install eight security cameras around the exterior of my home. Yesterday, I had them install a new surge protector system on my main power breaker box just in case we have a lightning strike. Darin has been super quick to answer my questions and get me scheduled and DJ and the installer team have been amazing to work with! Their prices are very fair and I have referred a few of my friends to them who all had a great experience! They make sure to clean up after they finish their work and they are very knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommend Max Electrical Services and look forward to working with them again in the future. read more

We had an emergency situation today and Max Electrical Services was very responsive and were able to come help us within an hour or so of our first contact. I had a hallway recessed ceiling light that went out and it wouldn't work anymore. Sounds minor like I could ignore it, but it was in a place where I really relied on it. Max Electrical came out the next day after I talked with them (even though I told them I was flexible) and fixed it in 10 minutes. And the two people who came out were so nice and professional. I would definitely use them again. The only downside is the cost was $125. I think the price could have been lower, but ???, oh well. read more

High quality work Quick quick assessment of the problem Accurate scope of the repair and changes Was able to explain the problem and alternatives at a consumer level Reasonable price, did not load hours to make up for the reasonable price Jesse was great to work with........ friendly, knowledgeable and very professional Max Electrical is now in my rolodex read more

I hired Max Electric to do some work in my home and I was very pleased with their level of professionalism, curtesy, and dedication to their customers. Recently I called them for some advise about electrical outages at my house and instead of taking advantage of the situation and trying to make a quick buck they provided a alternative solution that didn't cost me money. The only thing that they cared about was treating me with integrity. Max Electric has my business for as long as they are around. I cannot express how much I appreciate their honesty and dedication to their customers. read more

Had an issue with the AC and the lights inside tripping the breaker. They actually were not able to fix the AC issue as it ended up being much more complicated to the point where we are likely replacing it (lights got fixed) but they really went the extra mile to try to help me. Even though they didn't solve my issue I would still use them for any electrical issues I have in the future. So much better than other electricians I have tried in the past that try to urge you into replacing things that are not broken. read more

I called about a circuit breaker and the owner, Darren, responded immediately. He quoted the price up front, did the work, and gave me some good suggestions on a future project I am considering. I was very happy with the service. read more

Too bad there aren't more stars available. Our microwave quit working last week. I used Yelp to find an electrician and submitted a request to a company listed as responding within 10 minutes. As of this morning, I had heard nothing so back to the search. In less than 5 minutes after submitting my request via Yelp, Darring reached out for more info. Within 10 minutes, we had agreed Max Electrical would do the job. I expected someone tomorrow or Thursday since it was not an emergency. Just a few hours later, the job was complete, the microwave was working, and a potential fire hazard was resolved. Jesse and his team were very professional and explained what they were checking and doing to resolve the issue. We've already got another project with Max Electrical in the pipeline. I feel confident we will not be disappointed. read more

Awesome experience. Fuse needed to be replaced so I emailed Darin. Immediate response and set up an appointment the next morning. Came exactly on time and resolved the issue in a very professional manner. Was not selling, but suggested a surge protector for the house which could prevent the same issue from happening and installed that as well on the spot, all at a very reasonable price. We actually called a different electrician prior to Max, with 5 star reviews on yelp. They said they would come the next day, never called or showed. Called two days later, said they would get back to me. Ghosted me again. It's always hard to find good contractors. Max is a gem. Highly rec read more

I was really impressed with this company. After obtaining a couple other bids for work at my home, I found Darin to be responsive, polite, and honest. He did the work for a more reasonable price than the other companies, one of which produced an estimate that included installing a whole-home surge protector at three times (!) the average cost. As a female homeowner, I get this a lot, so I do my lay research. While Max Electrical Servs. is an established company and not *cheap,* Darin is experienced, thorough, and informative without unnecessary upselling. I definitely recommend this company and will use them again! read more

This is the second time I've used Max Electric, and I wouldn't use anyone else. We tried to have our new oven installed by Lowe's (BIG mistake), and their installers had no clue what they were doing. When the oven didn't work, they claimed it was a bad oven and said GE owed us a new one. After GE told us we needed an electrician, we called Max Electric and Chris came out the same day with two apprentices. They ran a new circuit to the oven (& did the technical stuff that goes with that). Besides doing excellent work and giving me a working oven, my husband and I were incredibly impressed with Chris's guiding and teaching the apprentices. read more
