I recommend Brightside. Jon is honest and responsive. A lot of the electricians I contacted seemed intimidated or hesitant to take on our electrical remodel. They weren't prepared for the walkthrough, didn't take notes, and never got back to me or just padded their quote to the sky to make up for their lack of good estimation and cover their misses. Jon promptly came on site and walked through the proposal and asked appropriate questions. He got back to me with a very detailed quote at a competitive price within 24 hours. After the project, his invoice was equally detailed and accurate. He's going to be able to deal with your electrical work; but the things above set him apart from the vast majority of electricians you'll encounter in the Austin area--and contractors in general. Particularly if you have a big job, these aspects of the job are much more important than most homeowners realize. Don't underestimate them, go with Brightside. read more

Jonathan and Savannah were professional, knowledgeable and quick. They know their stuff! Also gave me some good recommendations for some future work and helped us prioritize what is important and what can wait. Highly recommend! read more

Johnathan and his wife are absolutely amazing to work with! They are top notch communicators and take pride in the service and expertise they have to offer! Can't recommend them enough for any and all electrician work needed. If they had an 11 star rating available on Yelp I would smash that 11th star no problem! read more

Original service requested was to get all of the electrical setup done for the installation of a mini split and the project expanded a bit from there due to some issues with my current breaker panel. Jonathan was able to provide honest feedback and answers for any questions I had regarding this upgrade. While other electricians i was comparing to seemed to be less invested and slower to respond, Jonathan was always available and could provide answers to any questions I had. His pricing was great, and the installation itself went extremely smooth. There were even some issues with the hvac company that Jonathan offered to come out and assist with. Literally ONLY positive things to say working with Jonathan and his company. The customer service, communication, quality of work, and price were all exceptional and I highly recommend using them! read more

Brightside Electrical did a terrific job for the work I needed. They were very professional, knowledgeable and got everything done quickly.

Jonathan and Savannah were excellent. Fast, efficient and were priced extremely fairly. Most other electricians I asked wanted to play 20 questions and still come for a in person inspection to install some extra outlets, but Jonathan just asked a couple important and relevant ones before scheduling me for the following day for the job. He arrived with Savannah and they did a great job. Definitely going to have them come back to wire the house for a backup generator. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with our interactions with Brightside. Prompt scheduling, they did a great job fixing our outlets and installing a dimmer switch, they were super nice, and even insisted on doing some cleanup after which I was more than happy to do myself. Very reasonable charge for the work and I will definitely reach out to them with any future electrical needs. read more

Helpful! Answered my question quickly - would highly recommend. Very responsive. Glad i found him on yelp!

They did a great job for good price. Good and professional communication. I would certainly recommend Brightside.

Brightside did a great job for a small repair I needed. The repair man came with a COVID mask already on and was polite, knowledgeable, and quick working. I was appreciative that they could give me a solid quote for a small repair and that they were comfortable organizing the visit on Yelp, whereas others would only give an hourly rate and wanted me to call someone else to schedule an appointment. They're very comfortable working through Yelp. read more

They responded to my request very quickly and were able to give me an appointment for the next day. They arrived on time, fixed the problem, and explained the issue. The whole process was very streamlined. I'll be calling them in the future to replace the circuit breaker, and I'm so glad that the electricity works again. read more

I had an outlet burn up in my kitchen and had 3 different electricians either not show up or send me outrageous quotes. I contacted Brightside through their website and they responded promptly with a quote that seemed appropriate. 2 guys came out and they were ridiculously fast and thorough! My house was a hot ass mess from Christmas projects and cooking experiments from that week (like I would've NEVER had anybody over looking the way it was) and they didn't even bat an eye having to move crumbs and dishes off the countertops and whatnot. I was asking them a million questions because I had installed a bunch of lights myself and they never replied in a condescending tone or made me feel bad for not hiring a pro. This is really rare and as a female- it's what prompted me to write this review. I own a business and have had to deal with a lot of electricians, plumbers, contractors etc over the years and so many times they treat me like I have no idea what I'm doing or talking about and shame me for attempting to fix anything myself. These guys were the opposite, they explained what caused the outlet to burn (I did not install it, btw haha) and went into great depth explaining all the possible scenarios while troubleshooting the entire picture vs that one outlet. Including my appliances. The entire time they were explaining, they were also working so fast. They did stuff to all the outlets in my kitchen, checked a few in other areas to make sure the problem was only in the kitchen and added a gfci plug in my kitchen... in roughly 30 minutes!! They also suggested an inexpensive device I could buy myself at Lowe's for future projects and to check every outlet in my house. They offered to do it for me but my house is like a construction/project zone and I wanted to get everything put away to be able to get to all the outlets. I bought the device and checked them all myself afterwards and now I'm sleeping soundly knowing the problem was contained in the kitchen. Additionally- they showed up wearing masks and didn't try to take them off or fiddle with them the entire time. I was really grateful for that. I'll feel so excited to finally have an electrician I can depend on for future projects at home and my business. Especially a team of them who seem to really care and aren't lallygagging around in an attempt to charge you the most money. read more

I highly recommend Brightside Electrical. Even though I had a fairly small project, they were very quick to respond with an estimate, easy to set up an appointment, very professional work and great communication throughout the entire process. I will definitely be using them in the future. read more

These folks have become our go-to for small electrical jobs (we haven't had any major jobs lately but we'd probably use them for those, too!) They wear masks, are professional, do the work quickly, and charge fairly. We had them in to convert 2-prong outlets to 3-prong, and then to put in an outlet. All is fantastic. We highly recommend! read more

They quickly responded to my request, came on time, and charged me what they said they would in the estimate over the phone.

I sent quote requests to 5 different electrical company at the same time on yesterday afternoon (Sunday) and Jonathan was the first one responded me (within 10 mins). After answering a few questions from him, he gave me a very competitive quote and I made an installation appointment with him immediately (Monday 9 am). Today he arrived on time even though the weather was terrible and completed the installation quickly (around 1 hour). After the installation, he patiently adjusted the height of each globe of the chandelier and asked for our feedback. I enjoyed the entire experience and will highly recommend him. read more

I needed additional outlets in my garage for a workshop. The team was on time and definitely professional. They got straight to work after discussing the placement of the outlets and after our discussion, got it done very quickly. They were friendly and I would definitely recommend them. If I have need for an electrician, I will definitely call them again. read more

Very responsive to add us on their calendar, showed up on time. Even though there was some miscommunication about the repair, the job was handled professionally and to everyone's satisfaction. Great service overall! read more

Best electricians I've ever used, Jonathan and his crew just wrapped up a job on Friday night after hours to help me out. They're fair, honest, and great at what they do. Don't hesitate to call them for anything electrical, you'll never use anyone else after that! read more

We've hired the Brightside Electrical team to help us on a few jobs -adding recess lighting, and installing a ceiling fan in a room without a light fixture - and they've been awesome every time. They're responsive, accountable, and professional. I would recommend them 10/10 times and will continue to hire them as new projects come up. read more

The guys from Brightside were awesome. We replaced 4 outdoor fans and installed a new kitchen light. They were on time and went to work immediately. I have another light that we will install in a couple of weeks and will definitely use them again. read more

I used Brightside Electrical for three jobs over the last couple of months and they did incredible work on all three. The first was installing dimmable can lights into our ceiling (6 of them). The second was installing our Ring security system (3 outdoor cameras). The third was installing a new chandelier while also adding dimmer switches to that plus the lights in our kitchen. They came on-time, performed the services as quickly as you would expect, and were very friendly. If I had any questions or concerns, they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with their job. Their quoted prices before they performed any service was exactly what I was charged afterwards. I highly recommend them. As you can tell - through three different services - I will definitely use them again. Can't thank them enough! read more

Excellent service and value. I had them out to my shop to install some LED lighting. They showed up EXACTLY on time, did the job right, and charged me a reasonable fee. Highly recommended! read more

Quick and fast. Got the job done correctly, and paying was easy.

Jonathan the owner did my electrical work this morning. He was early to the work assignment, did an excellent job on trenching, running low voltage wire and installing 4 spot lights for a HOA entrance sign. Worked quickly to complete the job. Excellent communication throughtout the process. He had the lowest bid among the 4 finalist. I am having him doing another job when he has the time. al read more

Brightside Electrical Service did a great job. My 82 year old Mom's electricity went out in half of her house, which cause the heater to not work. The Electrician was prompt, professional and COVID19 compliant. Thank you for the fast response and excellent service. I will for sure use your company for future need and will also recommend to others. read more

Hired to replace both main panel and subpanel. Fastest timeline and second best quote. Johnathon's team did a fantastic job and cleverly fit my boxes behind a decorative wall. I do dock one star for mixing up quotes and box sizes and mislabeling most of my breakers. read more
