They also added new under-cabinet lights in the kitchen and new overhead lights in the laundry room and in a closet. They also changed a few bulbs in tricky locations that I couldn't reach. They were competent, courteous, professional, and hard-working. About a month later, Jose and Jose replaced 9 outdoor lanterns for us. They were also wonderful, making sure the dusk-to-dawn features were working and that everything was done properly. I had to hire my own electrician for the job, so I hired Bryant Electric to run power from the box to the water heater, about 4 feet away. That cost $800. When the inspector came, they told me the electrician needed to pull permits for connecting to the box and that the city charges around $40, so shouldn't be too bad. So I went back to Bryant to pull permits and they wanted $800 to do it. I laughed and hung up. I called other electricians and one told me they charge $100 to pull permits but they wouldn't complete the job for another electrician.

Several days after job was done, fixture fell out of the ceiling. They hadn't secured it to the wood in the ceiling!! If he hadn't been so busy complaining, he might have noticed that fixture was not secured. I had to have someone else fix his mess. He also made a decision to install almond electrical switch plates. He assumed, without asking, that was what was being used. I was using white electrical switch plates. He grumbled about that, too. He could have asked and saved himself the trouble and time of putting up the wrong color. If you want a job done right, don't call this company.

Honesty, communication, and being fair are three qualities I look for in working with companies to…read moresupport our rental property, and I'm grateful to have found Luis at L&R Electrical to help us out when our brand-new (February) AC unit broke in the middle of the summer and tripped the breaker. Luis got out there ASAP to assess the situation and offered to help fix the disconnect and ensure that everything was turned back on safely once the replacement AC unit was installed (which happened today). What makes Luis's support and service stand out a bit more is that once he found out that our AC company repaired the disconnect and made sure everything was fully operational (he spoke with the technician over the phone), Luis called and said that he didn't need to come out (which means he didn't have to charge us $$$ again). Honesty and integrity - super valuable in this world. I won't hesitate to call L&R for support in the future!
