You'll never get your calls returned. I was given an exasperatingly high quote from them too repair some wires thru. AHS. I called them numerous times just to understand the cost breakdown. I was almost about to accept the service and pay them that huge amount but thank God they never returned my calls so I went with another licensed service man. Very unreliable. They seem like they have 2 people working for this "company." One being a lady who never answers the phone when you call the main line for support. Try calling them and you shall see. The other is Heath, the electrician. He is a nice guy but nice only takes you so far. Run your business better and stand behind your work. The lady never return messages and Heath never returns calls, messages, or follows up on work he was supposed to do. You literally have to hound this company for a response and if you get one, the lady says she will send a message to Heath and back to square one you go. You have been warned. I requested several services through electrical and on the initial call the receptionist said she'd have to ask her boss about coverage even though according to my contract they should be covered. She said she'd call me back. However after the initial call they never called back. I tried called several times and only got voicemail. read more

Assigned by AHS. Don't answer phone or return calls. Finally had AHS contact them since there's no way to get a hold of them. When they finally called they told the story that they just received the request even though it was sent out early afternoon the previous day. Best to move on to another company and not even deal with unprofessional, unreliable, out of the garage type company. read more

I was assigned this company through American Home Shield. I got a call straight away from the company to inquire about my issue and to schedule an appointment. I thought that was a great sign, they were prompt and seemed helpful on the phone... at first. I was offered a time slot between 2-5 that week but it didn't work with my schedule. I told them I could be available as early as 3:30 but they said they don't schedule specific times, just time slots and I'd have to be available the whole time. I was also told they don't schedule services on the weekends. What company doesn't offer service calls on the weekend? Most people work during the week and can't get away and they close at 5. Very inconvenient. I was told they would look into it and call me back if something came available. I expected to hear from them the next day, maybe two days later at the most. It's been over a week and nothing, *crickets*. I've called them several times with no answer. I left voicemails with no call back. Very disappointed. I had to call American Home Shield to be assigned a different company. read more

Assigned through AHS and was extremely satisified with the service provided. Promptly and quickly resolved the issue. H&C went above and beyond to fix a breaker and replace an outlet for us. Heath spent extra time needed to diagnose the issue and then made a special trip first thing in the morning to replace the main breaker. He was willing to answer questions and provided lots of helpful information. Highly recommend H&C. read more

An all around hideous experience. We were experiencing issues with our power outlets and breakers tripping so our home warranty company American Home Shield sent out H&C ELECTRIC. The initial visit was routine and 3 power outlets were replaced. After the "electrician" (and I use this term loosely) left we realized his work was shoddy and lazy; he had zero pride in his work. Under each new outlet he changed he left screws and wire clippings which he either threw to the floor or let fall to the ground. Unacceptable! It wasn't until after the "electrician" left we realized that the power outlet in our master bathroom wasn't working and had been working fine before. This outlet is tied to the other outlets. We called and spoke to the "receptionist" who was RUDE and basically accused us of wanting additional outlets repaired. After a promise to return no one returned to complete the job. My husband called H&C (no answer) and voicemail box full so we called American Home Shield. H&C ELECTRIC did return our call but decided after they left my husband one voice mail message to cancel the recall without speaking with us first. Day after day we called H&C ELECTRIC; not once did they answer their phone or check their voice mail messages, not once. I called American HomeShield again. Nothing. No call from H&C ELECTRIC. I called again American Home Shield. Again, no call from H&C ELECTRIC. Mind you we had already left SEVERAL voice mail messages for H&C ELECTRIC. I called American HomeShield again and FINALLY received a call back from H&C ELECTRIC. Again we were accused from their "receptionist" of trying to get additional outlets repaired. They agreed to send their "electrician" back out. When he arrived of course he said it was a new problem. We insisted he move forward and then after taking a closer look he then admitted the GFCI he previously installed was "faulty." Seriously? The "electrician" then left with his trademark screws and wire clippings left behind on the floor. SHODDY work, HIDEOUS, accusatory customer service and piss poor attitudes. American Home Shield you need to drop this fake contractor like a hot potato. They're giving you a bad look. read more

AHS customer - had a bad plug connection which owner repaired promptly. Second circuit malfunctioned on smoke alarms. Called and owner returned call. Ended up replacing breaker to resolve issue. Owner called AHS and advised smoke alarms are not covered. Owner more concerned about getting paid than resolving issue. I fixed myself and would avoid this company! read more

I had my ceiling fan problem fixed within 30 mins, and Heath even showed me a few tips that I can address myself next time I run into a problem. Clear communication & super helpful. The last two times this company has been sent out by American Home Shield to remedy outlets that are malfunctioning and both times they have done nothing - always in a hurry to collect that money from AHS by saying they "showed up to the service residence" but the work isn't covered. Even when I've offered to pay out of pocket, they just leave w/o doing anything. My interior wiring / outlets are covered by my policy. ABSOLUTE SCAM. If you are going to contract for a warranty company, the services you provide should be equal to that of what you provide to non-warranty customers. The first electrician who came out was great - fixed two outlets and a ceiling fan that wasn't working. However, his colleagues have been unable to provide the same quality of service and I've never seen him again...probably moved on to a more ethical company. I've also complained to AHS to no avail - this is the "only" electrician they are contracted with in the Austin area....hmm, seems fishy being that this company is based in Wimberley. read more

For the benefit of future customers, I hope they are removed from their provider list. Had them out twice through my home warranty, problem still persisted. When I asked for them to come back a third time, they ignored my calls and never came back. I called my home warranty a 4th time, and they told me that H&C Electric marked this work order "completed" so I'd need to pay an additional $75 to get someone to come out to my house. H&C was as nice as they could be, but not fixing the problem and ignoring my calls left me unsatisfied. read more

I was assigned this company through my American Home Shield warranty. Two guys arrived, they did not show me their card nor introduce themselves. All, we need to remember to ASK for this -- they won't offer. They were in my home for 10 minutes, and announced my fan was un-fixable. In about three days, one of the guys returned, and installed a new fan. The man left parts to my old fan strewn around the room, and did offer to pick up the remaining parts to the fan, and place them nearby my trash bin area. These guys will not clean up, and they will not haul off your old broken appliance (fan, etc.). PROS: When they call you, if you just respond right away by text -- you can get away with setting up all appts by text and you don't have to play telephone tag. read more

Got assigned to them through AHS. Electrician shows up, wouldn't even disconnect the power of the microwave. Telling the tenant to get it disconnected and then to call back. Which they did, no answer for a week, calling daily. Yet these fraudulent folks send an invoice for completed work. Total garbage business! read more

These people are TERRIBLE to say the least. Scammers!! My landlord had to pay them $100 just to come to the house they arrived hours earlier than scheduled and I wasn't even home because I wasn't expecting them until hours later!!! I have called a dozen times in this past week and left multiple messages to try to reschedule and I believe I'm being deliberately ignored at this point. I believe at this point they are just trying to pocket the money and they have no intention of doing any type of work here I don't know how people like this are in business... We have had outstanding success with H&C. On two separate jobs over the last couple of years (most recently today) Heath went out of his way to assess and fix the issues - one set of florescent lights and a number of smoke detectors.
