Fast response time (on site the next morning), reasonable pricing, had the needed equipment already stocked in his truck, honest and helpful technician, informed me of additional services offered, but was not pushy. I will use again! read more

Very very Expensive! They not only charged $96 for diagnose fee, but also they charged $285 for a capacitor, which is sold for $30 on Amazon, exact the same one, same model, same package. I can understand you want to make money, but 9.5 times of the price of the same product? That's not decent at all. I would not recommend this company to anyone! read more

We hired Always Local via YELP, due to good review stars, to do an annual check on our HVAC before winter. David was very prompt in answering and his fee was in-line with current rates. Alturo showed up this morning, on time, and went to work right away. We had had problems with the pan overflowing, so he cleaned the lines and inspected the system, which was installed 7 years ago. On top of that, he found other issues and then the prices started adding up. At the end it was about an $800 bill, and he still found heater issues he is looking for parts for. When I spoke with a coworker (who is a DIY guy) he told me the capacitor sells for $25 on Amazon. I looked it up online and yep, $18 - $36 delivered to my door. I was charged $275 just for that part! In looking at "Leah-Wing S." review they overcharged her the same way! We also agreed to a "warranty" for the year which I'm now hesitant about. I immediately called David and after some discussion, he did reimburse $200, and he was reasonably nice about it. I am cognizant of the cost of business, the labor, knowledge and convenience charges to hire pros to fix what I cannot. Still, $275 for a $25 part is stunning to me. I will say David was apologetic, and he did send proof of refund to me as he promised. But to say I'm now leery of everything they charged me (and still will for the furnace) is a huge understatement. Man, I need to own an HVAC business... read more

Communicated well with pricing and availability. Arrived and diagnosed the issue. Offered options for repair. When I chose, the work was done within a few hours. Very satisfied. I highly reccomend this business. read more

Responds quickly. Cleaned my mini split ac unit that was struggling to cool. Did a nice job cleaning the ac unit. Working great again. Price was very fair. read more

Quick response time, friendly, reliable service at a great price! I'd call Always Local again in a heartbeat. The kind technician came into our home and immediately pointed out the problem which was a split drain line. He repaired it on the spot and we were only charged $96. read more

Just moved here to Austin and everyone know home warranty does not cover new AC unit I got a bid from 4 other AC companies including who my home warranty wanted me to use well let's just say I didn't go with that company After getting a few bids David came the next day to check out the unit and also sent an invoice for the new AC with 3 different kinds of unit. He came in $3k less then the others. He even installed within 3 days David came in on time with his team they were completely finish with 2 hours. This company I will recommend very professional, reliable, honest and top it all off David is a great guy. read more

Always Local has been great so far. They've saved us with same-day service twice when our A/C started failing this summer, and we have an infant in the house. The unit is 9 years old and failed a second time 1 month later, so we are having Always Local replace it. read more

I've been in Austin for 23 years and I've tried three HVAC companies. Always Local is by far the best. They always offer options is there's a problem. The techs are friendly and I trust them in my house. read more

I called in and David picked up. He was professional and friendly - he got me in a few hours later that day! Thank goodness because we were freezing our heater downstairs went out. Frank came by right on time (plus we got alerts he was on the way) and he was so great. 20 years experience, a vet, was reliable, honest, and got everything done that day in a tight space. THANK YOU! I would 100% recommend this company which I don't say lightly. Quick, good deal, professional. You can't ask for more in a company! read more

I really appreciated the service provided by Always Local. They were punctual, quick to diagnose the root cause, and fixed my issue affordably. I called them for a second opinion after a different company recommended an expensive part and didn't fix the root issue, just put on a bandaid. read more

Had these guys come out to look at my HVAC that was running, but not cooling. They recommended a total unit replacement or new compressor - $3,000-12,000. Told them I'd get another opinion and sure enough, all I needed was a new capacitor (which I was told they replaced and the compressor still failed). Went through the other guys (Service Wizard), paid $400 for the repair and a new maintenance plan, plus they walked me through full maintenance and how everything worked so I could further extend the life of my unit. 24 hours later and I still haven't even gotten a quote from Always Local....think I know too much? Go to Service Wizard! read more

I was holding off on writing this review as I was waiting to iron out a few wrinkles. But now I can honestly say that it was such a pleasure working with Always Local Heating and Dave, and I'd recommend them to everyone based on the quality of their services, responsiveness, accountability, and overall experience. I had to replace my HVAC and I got 3-4 quotes from various providers, Always Local not only provided very competitive quotes and 3 options to choose from but were amazing at communicating, taking responsibility for their promises, delivering the results fast and efficiently (overall turnaround within 3 days of my original inquiry), and overall a very pleasant experience. read more

Exceptional experience with Always Local. I sent a project request late in the evening and David responded immediately and got me scheduled for the next day. The tech who came (James) was amazing, he had an amazing attention to detail to ensure his diagnosis of the issue was correct before providing his recommendation. Issue was resolved with our two zone system same day and now we have cool air downstairs for the first time in months! Additionally the price was extremely fair. Highly recommend this business for all your HVAC needs! read more

Excellent customer service, they show up on time and fix my AC in less than an hour. I highly recommend them!!!

These guys are really professional and they have a lot of experience. They helped me with the propane conversion which was really hard for me to find someone. They have a good deal where you pay 200$ and they check your furnace and AC. They also have coupons you can use. Highly recommended. read more

I'll keep this short and sweet. Out of nowhere, my condo's AC went out over the weekend at the tail end of a hot ass Texas summer. After a day of trying to fix it myself, I caved in and found an HVAC company via Yelp and found Always Local. They were prompt with communication, gave a fair diagnostic price and reasonable window of time for repair (mind you, no AC in Texas summer... so needed someone quick). Within the early part of that window of time I was greeted by a technician who looked at my unit both indoor and outdoor, made an assessment and gave a more than fair price. Work, start to finish, was 30 minutes and I was cooling better than ever. The name of the technician escapes me at the moment but he was friendly, professional and explained everything in detail to a HVAC noob like myself. To management, this man needs a raise and a beer. Maybe two. Highly recommend always local for all your AC needs. Edit: it was Frank. He's the best. read more

Fast service, fair pricing, and they made no attempt to upsell me or sell me something that I didn't need.

I reached out late at night via Yelp to schedule service on a broken air conditioner. Always Locals response time and detail of responses was top notch. It was super easy to schedule via Yelp, and they booked an appointment for the next day at a time, and they sent the tech at that time! I highly recommend Always Local, they're easy to work with, responsive and courteous. read more

I used the Yelp tool to get quotes for HVAC maintenance and could not have been happier with my choice. The technician that came was early, thorough, and honest. They were also $80.00 less than their competitors. I feel comforted knowing that there are good service providers out there. read more

We had air conditioning break at both of our rental properties in two successive weekends; our normal guy was out of town; so we tried Always Local based on yelp reviews (both times having a Saturday service call). The first weekend took two trips as the drain was clogged and needed additional work after the first clearing; but the second visit was free of charge and resolved the issue. On the second weekend, the same technician came out and diagnosed the issue as a couple of parts failing on the outside part of the unit; had them in his truck; and was able to implement a fix in a couple of hours. The person handling the phone was easy to deal with and very easy to understand; the dispatches were informative; telling us an ETA that was fairly accurate each time. They seem honest and don't oversell solutions. So if you're in an emergency weekend situation and need help like we did, I believe these guys are a very good company to call. read more

David and his team take great care of the HVAC units on a few of my properties. They're very responsive and make certain you understand what you're paying for before they start the job - which is awesome when some companies trick you into paying more. I'm signed up on their yearly maintenance plan and twice they've caught issues that may result in bigger problems in the future if it wasn't addressed right away. Highly recommend. read more

Here's the situation: It's 3:00 am. I am awoken feeling warm- which was odd because the thermostat was set to 72* as per its schedule. It quickly became clear the AC was not working. I put on a robe and went to the garage and checked the fuses. Nothing out of the ordinary there. I put on slippers and went outside to the unit- it was very clearly not running, but there was nothing I could see wrong (I am very uneducated on AC units). Here's the big problem- my wife and I have a 1 month old newborn. I imagine he doesn't like the heat much. So I message Always Local at 3:30 am asking if they are available to come out. This was on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. I thought I was out of luck until Tuesday. 30 minutes later Dave replies (at 4:00 am!)- they can be there at 11:00 am! Great! They rework their schedule and get there even sooner at 10:00 am! Frank is the technician and it's clear he knows what he's talking about. He explains everything he's doing before he does it and assures me he can fix the issues for an affordable price. His Airforce Hat he's wearing affirms what his work ethic proves- he is an honest technician with a ton of integrity. After an hour and a half, he has everything back up and running for a FRACTION of what I was worried it would cost. Our unit is 27 years old! I thought it was over. Nope. Dave and Frank to the rescue. Baby didn't even break a sweat. Go with these guys- they are amazing. Very knowledgeable and WILL NOT take advantage of you. Thanks Frank and Dave! read more

The AC on my rental property stopped cooling suddenly a few days ago. With 100 degree + temps I considered this repair to be an emergency. A competitor was able to come out soonest and diagnosed as a failed condenser--meaning a replacement condenser at $4,400 at a minimum, or full system replacement from $7k-$10k+. Despite the rush situation, I decided to have Always Local come out for a second opinion. I'm so glad I did. They showed me that the coils were filthy and needed cleaning and that the interior A coil (I think they called it) hadn't been inspected at all. It, too, was filthy. After giving a thorough cleaning to both--it was up and running again immediately. They're charge was just under $500-soooooo much better than the $4k+ I was told I needed to spend by the other guys. They even knew to tell me to check the trash cans (when I mentioned it was a rental) and just as they expected--filthy filters were in there--proving that the renter had never changed them despite assuring me he did so regularly! They were spot on!! They worked hard, and thoroughly in the scorching heat. I wish I remembered their names--but both young men were great and I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Really conflicted with this review. On hand, they were friendly and quickly diagnosed what was causing my AC unit to turn on but not cool. On the other hand, as other reviews have said, they immediately tried to sell me on replacing the entire system, and after I refused, provided a quote that was over $2,000 higher than several competitor quotes. Honestly, even though I feel they'd likely do adequate work, their prices reflect an attitude of trying to take advantage of people in a rough situation. My recommendation: go with someone else (I went with Local Air Conditioning & Heating, they were fantastic!). read more
