You can really see why JBG only has five star reviews! I sent out a bunch of Yelp requests for HVAC repair when my a/c stopped blowing cold air and another company came to diagnose a failed compressor, with a quote for almost 4k. I sent out some additional requests for quotes on this part but almost everyone either wanted to come do another $75-95 diagnostic to say the same thing or told me the unit was too old/parts were too difficult to find so I should just replace the whole unit. Bladimir got back to me with zero hassle about just wanting a quote and had the best one out of all the people I spoke with that day, probably 15+ companies. He even had a model-specific rep for my out of date HVAC that had the parts in stock. They were able to come out to replace the compressor early afternoon the next day and were extremely responsive over text. However, when they left there was still no cold air. He came first thing the next morning and was able to diagnose that wires were also touching and causing the system to blow HOT AIR every time the a/c came on, and fixed it immediately! The compressor was still damaged and needed to be replaced, not just the wiring issue and we're not sure why they happened together, but I feel like another company would have charged for more expensive parts or just force a whole system replacement without trying to find this simple fix. He also repaired the thermostat housing which had never attached to the wall properly at no charge. 100/10. I hope I never have a/c issues again but he's the only one I would call and would a billion percent recommend him and his team to anyone needing to get cool again. read more

My HVAC coil went out 45 days after install via American Home Shield and they denied my claim so i got to pay twice for the same service. Luckily, after paying the "R" company with all the ads and trucks to diagnose and being told i needed a whole new compressor/coil/furnace I asked them to leave and pulled JBG out of the hat. Bladimir came out the next day, confirmed the coil was in stock and had it installed later that afternoon! What?? Yes sir. Not only was the service exemplary, but the quote was very competitive and i was able to have him come back and resize some duct work to help balance the airflow upstairs. It's a small company which i prefer and there was zero effort to try and upsell me. If you need any HVAC work, save yourself the headache and extra money you will spend with the big named firms. My builder undersized my AC unit and it could not keep up during extreme heat as we are experiencing now. I called multiple AC companies, and they tell me different things, what I need to replace, etc. Its hard to know who is right and I had to do my own thorough research. I found JBG heating on Yelp and the owner gave me the lowest bid for the same unit compared to others. Lowest bid is not necessarily a good thing, so I proceeded with caution. Asked him questions. Surprisingly he would answer all my questions immediately during off hours up to 11pm. He's fast and responsive and based on my research his answer were the best. I moved forward with his recommendation of American Standard AC Unit as it was affordable and high reliability. Was a keep it simple model. The more you add, the more things can break. When he came out, he and his coworker were very professional. He arrived when he said he was going arrive. He even went the extra mile to check on my attic EV Coils and drained the lines out for free. He said there was a little clog. He's very soft spoken (compared to a lot of contractors). I dont feel any upselling or anything like that, compared to talking with others. He just tells me what I need to know, and recommendations and we proceed from there. Our heater stopped working a few days ago (during the ice storm) so I contacted a few companies to see when someone was available. My AC went out at an inopportune time as we had relatives coming to stay with us for Mother's Day week. We obtained several quotes for work needed that were exuberant to say the least. Not just another rip-n-replace HVAC shop, but an actual experienced tech who diagnoses, debugs, and then proposes actual repair options. I was told by the first tech from another shop that I'd have to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to completely replace my AC. The AC was just switching off when it got too hot so I felt a repair should be possible. I called a couple more shops and explained things over the phone but they all said I'd have to replace the compressor, condenser for nearly the cost of the entire unit. JBG said he could do a replacement of just the condenser for far less than the others were quoting if necessary, so I asked him to look. He called back to say no replacement condenser was needed: there was a plugged up valve and a dirty filter. HE proposed a lesser repair than the one I was expecting and he fixed it all for far far less than I was originally quoted by others. He is smart and found an actual _repair_.
