Had an issue with the air handling leaking water anytime the ac turned off. Water was leaking from the unit into the second pan. I had cleared out the lines but unit still leaked. My fear was that there was a clog somewhere in the air handler itself. AC guys came highly recommended in our neighborhood and gave them a call late Saturday evening to schedule an appointment. Talking through tje issue, they helped me troubleshoot some things and when those didn't work, the appointment was set for the next morning. Chris swing by promptly at the scheduled time and quickly diagnosed the issue. There was a clog and he was able to resolve it rather quickly and added a section of pipe to resolve future issues faster. I appreciated Chris' efficiency, thoroughness, professionalism and educating me on symptoms and resolutions. Thanks AC guys! read more

The wonderful fix-it man was able to get to us about a day after we first called to report dripping from the emergency overflow pipe on one of our AC units. He blew out the drain line so now we are good for a while. It's always great to have cool air here in Central Texas. We recommend The AC Guys for any HVAC service. read more

Most homeowners have dealt with AC repair outfits that see customers as walking ATMs - overselling services, underdelivering results, and stretching the truth while charging premium prices for mediocre work. The AC Guys are a refreshing exception. They're thorough, competent, and provide comprehensive solutions when the situation calls for it. As the original owner of a Milburn home in Plum Creek, we endured more than 20 years of inadequate ventilation and heating from the builder's substandard installation. The AC Guys performed detailed airflow calculations and discovered that many ducts were severely undersized and all needed replacement to properly serve the home. They replaced the entire duct system along with new central air and heat. The improvement in balanced cooling and heating has been substantial. Brett's pricing was fair and straightforward; no nickel-and-diming, no surprise charges. You can't go wrong with The AC Guys. Give them a call for all your AC and heating needs. read more

My elderly dad had his newish AC go out on the weekend. We could tell it's wasn't caused by low refrigerant or a clogged condensation tube, but don't know how to change our capacitors. These guys showed up quickly and had the AC back on in no time. The first place we called said they couldn't come out for a week. No one should wait a week when it's 104°. Thanks AC Guys! read more

The AC Guys are the best, they are my new go to for anything AC related. My appointment was booked quickly, and easily (on the weekend). Kevin came out and knocked out my drain problem quickly, he was polite, helpful, gave a fair price and gave me good advice. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you AC Guys! read more

These guys are so awesome! They always take such good care when I have needed them, respond quickly and so reasonable on their rates. I have had issues in the past with other "reputable" A/C companies trying to charge ridiculous amounts for things that weren't even needed, but I trust these guys 100%! read more

I've had other companies come out to look at my HVAC at other places that I've lived and the "AC Guys" is the first business I've been satisfied with in a very long time. Kevin, one of the AC Guys, came out today for the second of my two semi-annual checkups to make sure my air conditioning was ready for the summer. Kevin was thorough, informative, and honest. My HVAC is the original setup for my home and it was built in 2006. Kevin let me know that my AC unit was showing wear but all components are still functioning within the acceptable parameters so should be good for the summer. I highly recommend the AC Guys read more

Matt and his crew are first rate techs who know HVAC forwards, backwards and upside down, who will be there when you need them - even outside of the usual business hours, AND are ethical & straight when it comes to doing business. I'm confident you will never be overcharged, billed for extra time, or sold something you don't need with these people. If you need HVAC service in their service area, they are definitely the company to choose - hands down. We were in the midst of a 100°F+ heat wave in July, and I have a severe medical issue (RSD) that makes an AC failure an emergency - not an inconvenience. My home warranty company knew this and had put my claim on emergency priority status, so any needed repairs would be approved within hours. I was fortunate to have been assigned the AC guys by my Home Warranty company (Old Republic) after another company (Killenair) came out to my house on the initial service call and then completely failed to take any action whatsoever - after a week they had never ever called in their initial report to Old Republic. After Matt was assigned my case he came out and quickly diagnosed that the initial problem was the inside air handling unit. Now on a 35 year old system he could have easily made a lot more money for himself by installing a whole new inside air handling unit - it would have been approved, but Matt isn't one to spend anybody's money when he doesn't have to. He found a way to replace only the blower motor and wire it into the existing system. He did this work on his own bench and was at my house until late Saturday evening wiring it in - far past normal working hours (going above and beyond for their customers, and being very frugal with everyone's money). This fix worked for a couple of days until it uncovered a giant leak in the heat exchanger. Again, they quickly ordered only the parts that were needed. They expeditiously replaced the exchanger and at my request left the old one (with its valuable copper & core) and they didn't overcharge me for the very expensive replacement freon charge (old system - uses old freon). My repairs were done are quickly as were humanly possible, by smart techs who knew exactly what they were doing and could explain everything to me. Neither I, nor the insurance company was charged a dime more than was absolutely necessary, and best of all - two months later, and the system has not hiccuped once. I still have a 35 year old AC system that is expensive as hell to run, but I know I didn't compound that cost by paying extra to fix it. And when I want to replace it - I know I am going to call, and who YOU SHOULD CALL TOO! The AC Guys. Highly Recommended - Five Stars Plush 7/30/18 - nearly 3 years later, and it looks like my AC system is giving up the ghost during a 108°F+ heat wave ravaging S.Central Texas, and yes - these WILL BE the exactly the folks I request. know it will be done right the first time out. read more

I had a problem with the heat in my house and reached out on January 7. They responded quickly and I was feeling good that they would help me. A few days later I reached out again and a couple days after that, I reached out again and they did not respond. Now it has been eight days since they said they would help me but nothing has happened. They only tried to reach out once I had published a response to their bad business practices on their website....Then they tried to call me. This is not a business that I will be involved with. I would suggest looking for something else. read more

We had them come out to check everything and make sure our AC/heat was fine. The tech arrived on time and was super nice. He performed some tests and everything was great. Will keep your info for future problems! Thank you! read more

We love this family owned company. Our AC was on its last leg, which we knew because it was the original one that came with the house and over 14 years old. Brett and his guys kept it running while we waited for the new one that was on back order. In Texas that says a lot because we all know how hot it can be without AC. We appreciate all their efforts and everytime they came by to help us. We would never use another company. read more

Polite and showed up on time for ac repair/replacement appointment. Said ac too old and expensive to repair and would contact me with a quote for a new unit. That was a couple of months ago and never heard back from them. Even during the heat wave, Texas Elite Air completed the initial appointment, provided estimates for three different units, provided financing options, and scheduled the installation appointment all in the same day about two or three days after I called them. read more

The AC Guys are unbelievable! AC went out Sunday night and they showed up Monday. Assessed the unit and had to replace it after it died (20 years). Tuesday morning 8am they were on the scene with new unit in hand. They made sure I did not over buy and cheap out. Asked me questions on what I wanted and how long I'd be here. Made sure I got a system that would pay for itself in savings. The new unit is in and I am dumbfounded at how long I waited. Here's a fun little fact: DO NOT WAIT! You are missing out. At one point the whole team was hear installing my system. It was amazing! What are you waiting for? Call em! I guarantee you will not be disappointed! read more

Our AC stopped working on a Sunday. The AC Guys came within an hour and were able to fix the problem immediately. The technician was very kind and explained everything in detail. They were fast, efficient, and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them. read more

On two occasions now, both in the dead of summer on 100 degree days, I have had issues with my older unit on my home. After reading reviews and hearing about my neighbors recommendations, I contacted The AC Guys. On the first call, Matt responded to my call within 30 min and advised when he would be at my home. Matt arrived on time and introduced himself. He quickly zeroed in on the issue and made immediate repairs quickly and at a very reasonable rate. On the second call, Matt once again responded to my request. He made initial contact in less than 5 min and advised he would arrive in approximately 30 min. About 30 min later, Matt arrived and diagnosed my unit quickly. I feel very confident in recommending The AC Guys, as I can say that Matt's knowledge and professionalism is very evident. read more

I reviewed The AC Guys 4 years ago and have been using then since 2004. These guys are awesome! My HVAC is 21 years old and they keep it in tip top shape. I couldn't be happier. read more

Brett has performed all the AC work for my own homes over the years (2), my investment properties and the referrals to all of our real estate clients. We were introduced many years ago from a referral for a job on our condo no one else could accomplish. TheACGuys.com handled it... done! Since then, they have ALWAYS provide top service and left with things much better (and cooler) than they were before. They are on-time and stay until the job is done. Not only do they provide top-notch service, we've become friends over the years. Good people! read more

Arrived home last night to no a/c. After looking for a/c person in Kyle, we found, with all 5 star ratings, the AC Guys. With literally hours before bad weather from Hurricane Harvey and the weekend, we called The AC Guys at 6:35 AM this morning. At 7:01 (one minute after they opened), I received a call back from Matt. He will be here at 9:00 AM. Wow! What response time. I'll keep you posted as to how we make out. I live in Kyle, TX. Not sure where the California came from, never been there. lol Okay, Matt was here at 8:59 on the dot! It's now 9:32 and he's gone. It was a small part and small bill. Now, we can be comfortable during Harvey and the weekend. THANK YOU MATT! .... oh they cut their destination fee in half for Kyle residents. Awesome perk for us in Kyle! read more

In my opinion, the AC Guys are the best in the business! Brett, Matt, and the guys have been our go-to for the past 15 years. In the first years, they were helping us keep an undersized (due to original builders) AC unit up and running and maintained. Several years later when our 9 year old son (at the time) wanted to be Hawkeye from the Avengers accidentally shot an arrow into the outside AC unit, they were there same day. On a different occasion, Brett even gave me a 2-3 year heads up that in the future, we might need a new unit which gave us time to budget and save for the new unit, and install the unit in October a couple of years ago when it wouldn't hurt us to be without AC for the day. Installation went great, and we were up and running same day! They've always been there for us. Can't say enough about these guys, except "Thank you!" read more

My AC stopped working on a Friday afternoon and Matt was able to fix it the same day. I highly recommend The AC Guys, fast friendly service.

Brett has been great! First of all he is honest, respectful, knowledgeable, and timely which is something I hadn't found from previous AC repair companies. He came right away when I called with a water leak from the AC that was causing the wood floors to buckle. He fixed the problem and I bought the yearly maintenance package which came in handy when my unit froze up last month. It is so refreshing to be treated so fairly. I highly recommend them! read more

When other places were trying to upsell us equipment we didn't need to the tune of almost $800, The AC Guys were responsive and helped me get my AC running, even coming out on the 4th of July to do it! Fair prices for good work makes them my new go-to for any further issues I have. read more

Excellent service on an evening call. Brett got my AC running after some tough troubleshooting, but didn't give up and now the upstairs is cooling like a champ. He was fair in his assessment and the price I paid was more than reasonable. Kyle residents especially should contact them for a discounted service charge to go with their peace of mind. read more

These guys rock! Our AC went out last night so we woke up on a Saturday to our house being 84 degrees. Called around and everyone said they could do it next week. Saw another recommendation about the AC guys so I called them around 9:30am. They here at the exact quoted time of 11:30 and fixed the problem. 20 mins later it's blowing cold again. Thank you!!!! Highly recommended read more

The AC Guys are really great! Helped my non-technical mother get our Nest thermostat installed. They were there when they said they would be and were very professional! The thermostat was not connected/working and my mom couldn't get it working. They used FaceTime to try to help and when that didn't work they agreed to come back free of charge. Very friendly, professional and highly recommeded! read more

Matt came out to help us with our AC issues about 30 minutes after I talked with him and was the only company to get back with me and was willing to come out immediately even though it was after hours! (It's hot in Texas and when your AC goes out, it's no joke!) He was able to get us up and running again with some Frion and some cleaning of the outside unit, but let us know the problem probably had something to do with the breaker. We found out he was right a few weeks later! These guys know what they are doing and are customer service pros! We won't hesitate to call them for our future HVAC needs! Thanks again AC Guys! read more

I had the best experiences with The AC Guys. 2 weeks ago, Matt came over (precisely on scheduled time) and he did tune-up on my unit. He cleaned my AC unit outside, made sure no dust or grass on the unit. He told me the Freon was low, and unfortunately my unit was older. He explained to me how the older model using more expensive freon. He also told me that my unit is still good. Should have about 4-7 more years of life, no promises of course. He also answered my questions about installing Nest. He showed me his Nest system on his phone, exactly like my house, 1 AC unit and 2 thermostats for upstair and downstair. Anyway, today I installed my Nest. Wired by wired, carefully. When I turned it on, its blowing hot air instead of AC. I was freaking out. I looked up on Nest website and it didnt really explain whats going on. I called Nest, and i was on hold forever. Since I had to leave the house, I just texted Matt. He replied and said maybe the wiring was wrong. So I sent him picture of the wiring to Nest. Next thing I know, withing 5 minutes, Brett called me. He told me he's with AC guys and from the wiring, he told me what to move. He also told me to call him when I'm connecting the wire so he can tell me what options to do on the Nest itself. I did exactly that, he told me over the phone and VOILA, AC back on!!! Again, this was on Sunday afternoon. Matt and Brett didn't have to do what they did. But yet, they helped me out as a previous customer over the phone, though it was simple fix. That's what I called customer service. I know from now on, who's to call when my AC or heater goes out!! read more

Actually, i concur with most of the reviews regarding the AC guys quick response when my AC stopped working. Brett showed up the same day I called and spent quite a bit of time diagnosing the problem and talking me through the issues. He was very polite and knowledgable and I was excited to have found a new AC company. At that point I was poised to give them a 5 star rating and refer them to all my friends. However, I actually asked them to give me a bid on replacing my AC system in my guest house. Brett said they would have me an estimate in a few days. A week later I had heard nothing, so I called and Brett informed me that they had been very busy and he hadn't gotten to it yet. Just before he hung up he said. " Ill have your estimate to you by Friday. Friday came and went. I waited another week. NO CONTACT. When I called back again, he assured me that he was " working on the estimate right now" and promised me I would have it before the close of business. I waited another week with no communication. When I called back, I got much the same story. Sorry, been busy, will get your estimate out tomorrow. I then waited another week No contact, no phone call, nothing. For FOUR straight weeks this went on. Then after my latest call, they said they would be here yesterday at 3 pm We took off from work to be here, and at 6 pm we got a call saying they were on the way. We had already given up and headed out to dinner. In summary, I was quite happy with the initial response to come fix my AC. But they clearly were not interested in installing a new system. And they didn't even have the courtesy to contact me when they missed deadlines on multiple occasions. We have given up and have other outfits giving us bids. The other three companies we called were on site within a day and have already given us estimates. read more

Matt, the owner, was great! Our AC went on the fritz late last night and he came out first thing this morning! Thanks for keeping us cool during a hot summer! read more
