Good dude, quality work, very clean..I will use Reese for all other electrical issues...

James was amazing, from initial contact through project completion. I initiated an estimate request on a project to wire a newly delivered swim spa here in yelp. He quickly responded, requested photos and info, and provided a competitive quote. On the day of the project, he worked most of the day in the Texas heat and meticulously ran external conduit to our back yard, installed a disconnect box, and ran power to the swim spa. I'm a Type A person and his work was visually exceptional (even my 13-year old son commented on how clean it looked!). James patiently stayed to ensure proper functioning of the spa even though it was clear that the electrical part was working just fine. Reese Electric will be my go-to moving forward for any electrical needs! read more

We've hired several electricians over the years to do various jobs and James at Reese has quickly become our go-to. Fast, efficient and fairly priced, they have handled installing a critical loads panel, installing a generator outlet and installing a soft start for an AC unit. All the work has been expertly delivered and they leave the site clean and tidy. Most recently we called for an issue with water coming into our main exterior power panel and they quickly identified a mistake from a previous electrician where they didn't use a water tight coupler and they resolved that quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Reese to friends and family! read more

Our old fluorescent light in the kitchen stopped working. I knew I wanted something more updated but was unsure what to do. I called Reese Electric. James came over and discussed options with me, listened to me and we came up with a plan together. I now have awesome recessed lighting that is so bright! James was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and a good listener. I recommend Reese Electric 1000%! read more

James was top notch through my whole project. We had to get a new electrical panel, fully permitted, in a short amount of time. He provided a quick estimate, got the permits and installed the new panel with minimal disruption. He was communicative the entire time - and very honest and trustworthy. I had multiple bids and his was very competitive and I appreciated how professional he was. Would hire him again in a heartbeat! read more

I really appreciated the transparency about pricing from the get-go. I contacted a number of companies, with very precise details of the job, that would not offer me even a ballpark estimate of the cost. James was a great communicator, patient and informative with all of my questions (e.g. advice about the wiring in my old house), and quick to diagnose and repair the problem. A+++. I've found my new electrician. read more

The recessed lights in our kitchen started flickering and one went out all together. I submitted a request on Yelp and Reese Electric responded right away, provided me a fair quote and scheduled my appointment in a very timely manner. I was shocked how quick the repair took and got 4 lights installed and back working in under a hour. It is so hard to find honest and decent work these days so I will def be using this company again. Please check them out if you have any electrical repairs that need to be completed or inspected. read more

The team at Reese Electric were fantastic. We wanted a generator inlet + interlock installed in case we lose power. Justin, who came out to do the work explained what he would do, double-checked what we wanted and then explained how it all works. The quote was a fair price and they didn't try to upsell us on anything. We'll definitely use them again down the line. read more

I contacted Reese Electric via Yelp to install a pendant light and corresponding switch in the dining area - they were quick to respond and were able to give me an accurate quote on how much everything would cost. I wanted to use a specific brand of smart switches which they were able to accommodate. Justin showed his expertise by answering our questions and walking us through the installation process. He was able to get everything done in around 2 hours and helped us adjust the pendant light until it looked good. I would definitely recommend Justin and Reese Electric and will be coming back to them if I ever have any future electrical projects I need help with! read more

I am really impressed with the quality and timeliness of his service. We called for a quote and James was right on top of it, giving me an estimate based on photos sent to him of our panels and desired location for the new Tesla charger. He was also quick to respond to our inquiries about his availability, and we were able to get it done on the day we took delivery of the car. I got several quotes for his job and James was comparable in price to a couple of them and way cheaper than a few who tried to tell me I needed more work done. I will definitely be having this company back to my house for future electric work I have planned. Two thumbs up-- one for not bullshitting me about what my house needed to safely install a charger, and another for being an all around great guy with above and beyond service. read more

Winter freeze of Austin, Texas 2023. Rain was freezing, trees were splitting and coming down, no one around us had power besides those who had previously installed batteries for solar panels, gassed home generators, or manual portable generators...so attentively there I was attending to my gas/propane generator with a huge grin on my face. This was EXACT situation for why we contracted James at Reese Electric. I did have to do a little review before I started things up cuz it was a while since the last outage, but I was expectantly successful with his easy setup. I dont think I could have messed it up if I tried! But I did mess up this time! Back track a little, we had a planned trip on Friday of the outage. Its the third day now but our family left the house. With the pressure of time unpowered(cuz I had to unplug), and trusting that the power would turn back on before our return I rushed thd process. 3 days later when we returned and learned it hadn't been restored but knew from neighbors that it was back on Saturday morning. We were freaking out! I couldn't figure out what I did wrong. I immediately called James and also texted Oncor "out". James responded immediately and was at our house in 30 minutes. Oncor follwed behind him minutes later which was actually really impressive with the outages and how busy they've been. The support system was so amazing! James identified the issue, fixed within like a minute, Oncor was super supportive and content that we were taken care of...it was just electrical service heaven!! James had absolutely no hesitation revisiting after his installation a year+ ago which speaks volumes for his confidence, excellent service, attentiveness, skill, and fair wage. I have an electrician we trust and I love that! read more

James from Reese Electric has always been the electrician I can count on for prompt response and quick turnaround. James came out to install indoor LED can lights throughout my house. He was patient in explaining the options when we spoke and made several suggestions. I had tall ceilings so some of the cans were difficult to access but James got it done easily. He also quickly diagnosed a 230V outlet in my garage which I was using to charge my EV that wasn't working and fixed it at the end. Responds quickly, is a good communicator, and has reasonable pricing. Highly recommend you give him a try! read more

James and his team were very responsive and sent an estimate via email within an hour of contacting them. James is awesome! When I decided to buy a generator to compensate for our state's inefficient power grid, James was recommended to me by a friend who is also an electrician. James was so easy to communicate with & work with. He worked with my schedule, and when there was a hiccup due to my outdated breaker box, he explained everything & came back at a time that worked for me. Once everything was ready to go, he walked me through the process of setting up the generator, step by step. He told me to please call him with any questions and he would be happy to help me, and that was not empty talk - I could tell he really meant it. James's rates were reasonable and I am now ready for whatever weather event comes our way! read more

James came here attending a very last minute call. He couldn't fix the issue at the day so he didn't charge us for the visit. The next time around he fixed the issue and even took the time to explain why it was happening and how the previous electricians did a bad job. I already knew they did a bad job, but not the extent of it. Will definitely use it again. read more

James and his screw are top notch. Very professional and got the job done even when some of my own measurements were incorrect. I recently purchased a Tesla and out of no where my delivery date jumped up 3 weeks. So I quickly scrambled to get some quotes on installing the home charger. I was given quotes that ranged up in the 3.5k area that would have me scheduling a shut off with my local utility. I was super heart broken thinking this would take weeks to install. Then the clouds parted when I got a message back from James. He asked for some pictures of my breaker box and the area I wanted to install it. Then I was shocked when he gave me a quote of 650 and could be there Friday. He was on time and went over everything to confirm the details. He walked me through my breaker box and showed me the best place to put the charger. A couple hours later and I was testing it out. Absolutely flawless work. I then asked if he could give me a list of things I should/need to do as in maintenance or concerns etc. he walked me through details on how there are no more slots left on my breaker box but there isn't a need to upgrade it yet unless I wanted to put in a hot tub or a generator etc. I jotted down my notes and was grateful when he said to plan to do it in the cooler months so the outage doesn't suck to sit through. All in all I am super happy that I went with a local company and met a real nice guy. The kind of guy that would help your mom out in tough times. I plan on hiring him again in a couple months. Sadly my wife has been talking my ear off about a hot tub lol read more

Working with James was great. When we moved into our home there was some DIY electrical work installed on the fence and now basically dangling from hangers. After getting the fence repaired we wanted the electrical to be reinstalled and done right. I reached out and after a quick conversation and some photos, he gave me a really fair quote. He wasn't the cheapest but in my experience I've rarely had a good experience with the cheapest. But on the other hand, he was a almost half as much as my most expensive quote. The work looked fantastic, he was knowledgeable and very friendly. We got to talking about Texas winters and generators and he let me pick his brain a bit. He ended up recommending a portable system that could keep most of the house running in the event of an extended blackout, most importantly our heating and critical appliances. I ordered the generator and had him back out to install the inlet. He got it all installed nicely and we did a dry run of getting the generator started and using the interlock to bypass main power. He took the time to make sure I understood the ins and outs of the system to keep me and my family safe. Gave me a few tips on how to prep if there is a freeze coming. Long story short, if there is any electrical work needed by myself or friends, I would absolutely recommend Reese Electric. read more

Reese was great, I was bad. He got in touch with me via email. I'm terrible about looking through my email. I was the one that didn't provide the correct photos, but he kept after me. I didn't get back to him for quite a while. I told him "I was as sorry as the guy that kicked the Pope". He did a great job installing the generator. He was careful to explain it to me. The one he installed is one we will use for glamping, so it will keep the fridge and a couple of other things going in an outage. I'm going to get one dedicated to the furnace, and air conditioner, so, yeah, I'll be getting back for that one. read more

Awesome experience with Reese electric! James came and got my house setup with a generator connection for the entire house! He installed a breaker interlock and a 50 amp connection for the generator underneath our main panel. His work was super clean and his communication excellent. It's hard to find reliable contractors these days. James exceeded my expectations and was top notch professional. He came to my house twice. First was a consultation to check my Amp load before ordering parts. After ordering parts he set an install date and was there right on time. I was blown away that he spent the time with me to understand the new generator I knew nothing about. His install included a step by step walk through of how to use everything and a full test when everything was installed. Everything worked great HVAC and all! If you are looking to get your house set up for the next winter storm, look no further than Reese electric. read more

James from Reese Electric did a quality pendant lamp install. Reasonable pricing. Great communication. Went the extra mile.

Reese Electric recently helped out with a number of jobs at the house that I needed done as I'm looking to rent out the house in the future. I'm switching over to electric on appliances as much as possible this go round so I'm not so gas dependent long term as gas costs have been sky rocketing so it made sense to get it addressed. As far as work done they replaced bad outlets, including interior wall outlets and exterior GFCIs, installed 6 wired smoke detectors with ones I provided, relocated and updated an electric dryer circuit to allow for removal of a deck and also got in a 40 amp circuit for the stove area. A few pics I included of some of the work. Thanks y'all for getting 'er done! read more
