I had one good experience with these guys when then installed a tesla charger at my old house and at terrible experience with them with they installed a tesla charger at my new house. The first time they did it they installed a 240 volt outlet in my garage and I plugged a tesla mobile connector into that, worked well. The next time they did it at the new house, I thought they would do the same thing but apparently they stopped installing the mobile connectors. Now they only install the wall connector which is a large sci-fi looking thing that is permanently affixed to the wall. It's also more expensive than the mobile connector. None of this was made clear to me when we started the project with Grayzer. They came to my house, got about 90% done with the job then saw the equipment I had and said "sorry we don't do those anymore". They explained the situation to me but since I didn't have the equipment they wanted they couldn't finish. They did however insist on being fully paid for the job. Stupidly, I agreed to pay them and they left saying "call us when you have the wall connector". That was a mistake. Never fully pay for the work until the job is fully done! So I bought one and scheduled a time to finish at which point they said they would need to charge another trip fee to come back out. I explained that it wasn't made clear to me that I didn't have the right equipment until the job was almost complete but they didn't care. They were insistent that I give them another trip fee before they would come back. Frankly they were pretty rude about it too. Like really rude. Whoever I was emailing was belligerent and completely unprofessional. It was extremely frustrating. I tried to explain that as the professionals in this situation they should be the ones checking that all the equipment is ready to go before the job starts. At the time I didn't know the difference between a mobile connector and a wall connector. I didn't even know that tesla had multiple options for wall chargers. I had what I used the first time so I figured it would work. It's not that the trip fee was so much money but after having to drag this out over two visits, spend another $150 to upgrade to a wall connector, a trip fee on top of all that was a bit much. In my opinion, a reasonable company would just accept responsibility and waive the second trip fee. Or at least offer to split it. But not these guys. They dug their trench and they weren't coming out. It was childish and stupid and I'm embarrassed for them. And to boot, the people they sent out to finish up the job were jerks. One of them was yelling and cussing at somebody on their phone like a crazy person in my garage. Honestly, these guys are like school on a Sunday -- no class. I guess this is what happens when you get to be a popular company. Customer service and basic decency goes out the window because what do you care, you have plenty of business. Right? So I was in the process of adding a Tesla Wall Connector to my home. I sent out a request to three different companies ( all Tesla Certified installers ). All were prompt in their responses and provided well written proposals. Only Grayzer included the cost of a permit in their proposal. Further a friend had their wall panel upgraded and their Tesla Wall Connector installed by Grayzier and recommended them highly. After looking at the reviews for the different certified installers, and given that a permit is required in my town to install an EV charger, I went with Grayzer. They provided a date and service window ( a week in advance of my appointment ) and the electrician, Max, pinged me about an hour prior to his arrival. I showed Max my ideal location for the Tesla Wall Connector and he was able to accommodate without having to cut away any drywall or running conduit outside the wall ( YMMV ). Very friendly, professional and knowledgable. He took the information/pictures required by Tesla and by my town's permitting authority, commissioned the Wall Connector, showed my how to add it to the Tesla Application on my iPhone and verified that it was charging at the specified rate (48 amps). He was happy to answer any questions I might have, and I am just delighted by the service and work done. I would recommend highly to friends, neighbors, et al. I feel the urge to write this review. It's not usual that a company surpasses all of your expectations, but Grayzer did that for us. I finally got an EV and contacted a few electrical companies for quotes on installing a Level 2 EV charger at my home. I went with Grayzer for a few reasons: 1. They came to my home to assess the work and answered all my questions 2. Responded quickly to my follow up questions through email 3. Provided multiple options for installing the charger, one being a simpler install leaving my home's original components, and the other was replacing the breaker box, fuses, and bringing everything up to current code and provide more amperage for the home 4. Recommended EV chargers to get from them, and allowed me to purchase one on my own too. I went with a Grizzl-E Level 2 charger, which I bought myself. The work Max, Todd, and team did (I forget the name of the other person) was exceptional. I don't use that word lightly. Everything was done with attention to detail and tidiness in mind. From the cable arrangement, dealing with my local electricity company, accessing our attic, and entering and exiting the home. They cleaned up afterwards and left everything better than it was. Since my outside breaker box was on the opposite side of the garage, I expected tons of work, poking holes, and damage to be done to make the system reach the garage. But all my fears were appeased when I saw how cleanly they worked through that home layout. I'm super excited by being able to charge my EV at home, and more so with the little adjustments the team had to do to make it happen. Hired Grayzer to install a Tesla Wall Connector, from the opposite side of the house service to inside the garage. Their quality, knowledge, and reliability is on point, and I have no complaints there. I was also glad their suggested solution was to go through the attic, not only because this is the least intrusive, but also because compared to other installers this showed their experience. That being said, there are a few things that made me unhappy afterwards. Part of the scope was to commission the unit, which is the last step of getting the device connected to the Internet, so it can get automatic firmware updates and for Tesla to be able to support temporary. However, this was never done (at least correctly) for my unit, despite the installers claiming that it was. I only found out months later when Tesla added the ability to add your wall connector to the app, which of course didn't work since it was never correctly commissioned. The run had to go into my attic to get to the other side of the house, so it was longer than most, but the price was pretty high for the overall length of the run. Also, of the two electricians doing the work, the younger one was pretty negative and complained about the landscaping, wanting to remove a rose bush to make the work easier, which is totally unreasonable. read more

I contacted Grayzer Electric along with a few others last summer when I got my Tesla Model Y to get an estimate for upgrading our older mod-90's service panel and install a Tesla charger. At the time, it was a very good price, but I ended up going with a much cheaper option of getting a 14-50 outlet installed off our sub panel in the garage. Turns out, that was a mistake, as that solution gave us problems until I de-rated the charging by 50% to not kick off and overheat our sub panel breaker. I learned the hard way that old adage about having to do something twice. So this summer I decided enough was enough, and got new estimates from various electricians around Austin (the big names you all know).The prices were honestly shocking, but I also reached out to Grayzer again as well. They refreshed the estimate, which barely changed at all. Their reviews are great, so I said let's do it. Because I'm not in City of Austin, they were able to schedule me the same week. Max and his crew showed up exactly on time, maybe a few minutes early even, and was very clear about everything that needed to happen. Once PEC arrived and pulled the meter, they all got to work, with him removing and replacing our old panel with a new Eaton CH, and the other two helping and running the conduit and lines for the charger. The garage of our 2-story is opposite the panel, so this was an up the side, over through the attic, and down the other. I did an outside install, since the Tesla Wall Connector is weatherproof. The final results are fantastic, and charging at 48A is so much better than 16A. The guys were easy to talk to, answered every question I had, were fine with me being nosy and watching them work. The inspection was smooth and took just a few minutes, and the whole job was done - including the wait on PEC to come back and push the meter back in - earlier than they originally said when they arrived that morning. The bill was exactly the original estimate, too. No overage. Fun fact: the total cost was $2k less than just the panel replacement estimate from the other guys, and about half the other full estimates I got. Grayzer charged about what I found when I googled "cost to replace service panel". Fair price, honest people, great results. I would recommend them to friends, family, and complete strangers, like y'all. :) read more

I found Grayzer from a long list of Tesla recommended installers. Let me say, I am SO glad I went with Grayzer. They visited my house and prepared a quote within days. All other competitors were slow to respond and over priced. Max P and Todd arrived on time and did the work swiftly with top notch professionalism. Had a bad GFCI outlet and asked for all outlets to be checked on the circuit. They replaced one outlet and said all others were okay. This was a very expensive bill ($300+) due to the trip and materials fees. Then I found that one of the other GFCI outlets was bad which they did not believe or offer to return and test unless I paid the $300 again. I bought an outlet tester and sent photos proving the defective outlet, but they still said it would be another $300 to come out ant replace the faulty GFCI outlet that should have been replaced during the first visit. If I had said YES it would have cost me a total of $600 to replace two GFCI outlets. Obviously I said NO and replaced it myself for under $25. I DO NOT recommend this contractor read more

Victor called ahead and showed up on-time....worked straight through 5 jobs with no lunch or breaks. We had GFCI' placed in 2 bathrooms, and the garage and then a box mounted outside to the ceiling of our pergola where a fan was mounted and tied into an existing GFCI. Quite a bit...took under 6 hours...rate was worth the speed and Victor talked me through everything, offering advice on placement and ties, and going over costs thoroughly. Very polite, always said, "sir," and was really professional. I'd recommend Grayzer to anyone--and ask for Victor as he works diligently and efficiently.
