I always wanted a good home theater. We have a living room that we used as a TV room. I had some basic ideas, but equipment had evolved so much since I set up my own home theater; I wanted to work with an expert. In addition, I wasn't even sure if my living room could provide the quality of sound I wanted. After extensive googling and yelping, I came across AV Connect, who had a decent web site and good reviews. Nate Cake took my call, and discussed with me options and pricing. I don't remember the timeline, but I believe he came out the next week for the design consultation, and went over all my options. In a couple more days I had my quote. I think we completed installation 2 weeks later. The installation crew were courteous and professional. The home theater is awesome! Then 1.5 years later, the AVR blew (under manufacturer warranty). I called AV Connect back up, and they picked it up and got it repaired for me! I didn't have to deal with the manufacturer or a repair shop or anything! I recently purchased a home in Cedar Park, TX with a media room that was not being used to its full potential. I reached out to AV Connect, and Nate and his team helped me design and install the home theater of my dreams. We now have a 145" 4K projector system with Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 surround sound installed in the ceiling. AV Connect was especially good at helping me customize my theater within a strict budget. They did not force me to buy their equipment, and a few pieces were purchased separately and installed as part of their broader installation package. I'm also so glad I sprung for their contractor-grade screen and speakers. I was initially skeptical that either would make a big difference versus prosumer-grade options from Best Buy, Amazon, etc., but am absolutely floored by the final results. I believe that their high end components are absolutely more than marketing hype, and now have a system that delivers a sight and sound experience that's as good or better than the standard presentation at my local AMC theater (not including IMAX and Dolby Çinema formats, of course). Nate and A/V connect team were a pleasure to work with, arrived and installed on time, and cleaned up nicely after themselves when the installation was complete. They gave me great advice throughout the process and I will absolutely use them again when it's time for an upgrade. Travis and his team are responsive, effective and quoted considerably less to install custom studio monitors in our offices on Bee Caves. Set up was not conventional; they were somewhat reluctant fearing we had unrealistic expectations. They suggested a competitor by name! AV Connect, came, delivered and left. A friend referred me to AV Connect over a year ago. I had 3 rooms that needed flat screen mounting, HD connectivity wiring through the wall and a centralized location for all equipment. Kurtis/team did a fantastic job and I was extremely satisfied. Pre-Install evaluation was thorough. Kurtis listened to what I wanted and presented options that were cost effective. The installation process was quick and the team did a great job. I was very satisfied with the outcome. I received a demo after completion but AV Connect's customer service did not end here. Kurtis checked in with me a few weeks after installation to make sure that I was satisfied and did not have any questions. He mentioned to me that if I ever needed anything in the future to give him a call. Two weeks ago one of my TVs needed to be replaced. I reached out to AV Connect to explore my options. Hours later I had an email listing my options with instructions on installation of the new TV. Kurtis remembered my design/setup! He offered to come out but that was not needed. As I installed my new TV I had more questions that were responded to/answered promptly. These guys are fantastic to work with. We have used AV Connect several times over the past few years. If you are considering having any kind of audio/visual or home automation work preformed, save yourself the trouble of using some "fly by night" company or a "squad" of right out of high school kids. I don't even bother calling other companies for quotes anymore. AV connect always ask a fair price and they will discuss any changes with you upfront. I have and will continue to recommend them to friends and family. Very honest company and very good employees that truly want to make their customers happy. The first time we called them was to hang a TV over our fireplace 3 years ago. The installer took the time to run the wires in the wall and made it look like the builders had planned for the TV to be there from the beginning. He even sold me a TV bracket that saved us over $100 from the one I had bought at a local retailer, which soon got it returned to them. While he was pulling the wires through the walls he suggested that I let him add some network wires for future features that he had read were in the works. I agreed and sure enough, it paid off when we upgraded recently to a 3D plasma TV that had a jack for a network connection. It is nice to know that these guys have enough interest in what they do that they are up to date on current and future technology. Since our first TV install, we have had AV Connect come back and do several other projects. They installed in-ceiling whole house audio so we can listen to background music or the game anywhere in the house without it blasting out of the speakers in the TV. They also installed a home automation system including networked cameras, so we can control our lights and see what is happening at home from our smart cell phones. I can even open and close my garage door from my cell. AV Connect has also installed additional phone wires, network cables and most recently an IR repeater system so I can control my TV/Stereo from anywhere in the room. The biggest project we had AV connect do was to install a complete home theater with HD projector and surround sound system. I talked to Travis and we discussed how much I could afford and what was important to me. He recommended all the equipment and we scheduled the install. After a few days of work we had a home theater that would rival just about anything out there, including a raised floor with bass transducers that actually vibrate the seats when there are explosions and other loud noises. The project came in under budget and looks better than I ever imagined. I thought I had heard and seen a properly configured home theater before, but after AV Connect spent several hours just fine tuning the equipment to get the best sound and picture out of it, I realized that just having good equipment doesn't mean you are experiencing the best sound and picture.
