We researched numerous Austin window designers on Yelp, BBB, and "Best of Austin" sites, etc., and decided to reach out to DECO Window Fashions after reading rave reviews and testimonials by previous customers. DECO owner, James Covian, responded quickly to our email inquiry and arranged an in-store meeting with one of their "best design consultants, Denise McIntyre." Denise was wonderful - she understood exactly what we hoped to achieve, made specific Hunter Douglas model recommendations, and visited our home to display specific design samples from which we made our selection. She completed measurements, customizing the shutter designs to accommodate specific nuances of furniture and room layout, and wrote up an estimate that included special discounts. The whole sales and order process couldn't have been any easier or more satisfying!!! We're looking forward to our installation and updating our Yelp review in the very near future - thanks greatly James AND Denise - DECO rocks!!!

Grady and David came out to my home to take measurements and provide a quote for outdoor shade screens and indoor motorized shades. We have a new build home that was pre-wired for motorized shades. They checked all of the outlets and confirmed they were working. Once the patio was completed, they came out and re-measured for the screens. They installed the screens and shades in one day! We had them do all of the interior shades, with the primary bedroom shades motorized. They provided the equipment and electronics necessary to operate the shades using a remote or an app on my phone. I asked them to provide a quote for custom window coverings in the great room and suggested they look at the model home for an idea of what I wanted. They ordered custom rods to span over 12 feet. I selected a sheer fabric for the curtains, which were custom made. Once everything was ready, David and his installer came out and put them in. What an amazing difference those curtains made in the look of our great room! I strongly recommend Home Town Window Coverings for exterior motorized screens, indoor motorized or manual shades, and curtains. The prices are competitive, and they do not compromise on quality.

I contacted two other companies who were unwilling to come downtown to service high quality Hunter Douglas blinds. So, when I was referred to Image Blinds, I was willing to pay their $275 service charge to come to a high-rise condo building downtown as well as their cost to repair my blinds. In other words, Image Blinds does not apply their service charge toward the repair. Total Cost: $740 - $465 for the repair plus the $275 service charge. The repair was replacing to a cord on one Hunter Douglas Pirouette blind in a bedroom and getting the living room blinds sliding again (something had broken on the top rail and they were not moving). Linda the owner and Raymond, her technician, were consistently professional, punctual, professional and competent to do the job. I had a bit of sticker shock on the costs but that was because not long ago, the cost used to be half that. Inflation perhaps. And given that Image Blinds was the only company I could find to repair my blinds, I guess that's what it costs these days.

Sarah and Tim arrived with the perfect balance of options: enough to feel curated, not enough to trigger decision fatigue. They respected my budget and guided me toward materials and styles that made sense for my home's "architecturally adventurous" windows. My roman shades turned out beautifully--subtle, sophisticated, and perfectly in harmony with my walls so my art can keep its spotlight. They understood the assignment. Beyond their talent, they're simply great humans: honest, precise, and genuinely pleasant to work with. I recommend Best Blinds wholeheartedly. Give them a try--you'll be thrilled you did.

Sarah handles most of the communication and she was extremely responsive and patient with all the questions I had. Scheduling an in-house consultation was easy and didn't cost a thing. They came well prepared, with samples of products, took all the measurements, and helped me pick out a variety of roller and zebra shades that matched well with my current decor that were affordable without trying to upsell me on anything fancy or excessive. In fact, they had to talk me out of more expensive options when I inquired about them! They even came back out a second time without hesitation because I had second thoughts about the initial choices and wanted to look at products. You pay a deposit of half the invoice amount for them to order the products, and the other half after they finish installation. Very fair and straightforward. It takes about 2-3 weeks after placing the order for the product shipment to arrive, and my installation was scheduled for a couple days after that. Incredibly quick turnaround. They do everything themselves, including the installation which went smoothly. I had a few motorized shades as part of my order, and they were setup with various groupings and presets and paired well with a remote. They are committed to coming back out in the future if anything needs to be adjusted or fixed, which is very assuring. They even took the time to help me with some lingering items around the house that I have neglected for a long time due to my inability to do it on my own, like changing some light bulbs in high hard to reach places, and moving large pieces of furniture up a flight of stairs! That is something they 100% did not have to do and not part of their job description, but that's simply how sweet and accommodating they are. If you would like to support a small local business, they truly deserve your consideration.
