Phil does wonderful work. He repaired 7 of my cellular shades. The shades were over 20 years old. Phil came to our home, picked up the shades to be repaired, and completed the work order in a reasonable period of time. He is a total professional, and I ordered a custom new shade for my sons bathroom. It was much easier and pleasant working with Phil, rather than going to a "Big Box " store, and going through the hassle of ordering the shade, then having to coordinate with a technician to install the shade. A terrific repair service this week. I had a cord come off my expensive shade. Did not want to spend over $250 for a new one. I was not optimistic that I could find an outfit to repair the blind. Tough to find companies or technicians to repair window blinds of any sort. All the stores or dealers want to sell new blinds, rather than repair old ones. But BlindSaver ATX was recommended by people at The Shade Store in Austin TX for repair work, while also giving me a bid of $250.00 to replace the broken ones. And they proved right! BlindSaver ATX is a company that works drop-offs and pick-ups through a UPS store in North Austin (7421 N Burnett). Used BlindSaver to repair 2 blinds before selling our house. We got a pretty good estimate of pricing and schedule. Unfortunately when I picked up the 2 blinds, I did not realize that one of them was actually someone else's. Only found out when I tried to re-install- they were the same color but slightly different size. As the house was going to get photographed the next day, quickly left a VM- and the owner promptly called me back. I have 17 cellular blinds in our open office that are about 10 years old but well kept and fit the space well. So, when two of their cords broke we were faced with replacing all 17 blinds or repairing the two broken ones so they would match the other 15. I found Blindsaver online and was given a very fair estimate for the repairs over the phone and was told I could drop them off at a south location closer to my office. They did a great job. It did take a bit longer than expected but I can forgive that due to spring break and SXSW madness. First time I've needed to have a pleated shade re-threaded. It is 20 years old, and one of the cords broke. I called several places and kept being referred to a business in north Austin (I live far southwest). I found Blind Saver online and there is a drop off center at IH-35 and William Cannon. I called and got an immediate response and estimate. Dropped off my shade and it was ready in two days, and looks as good as new (in fact, it looks better than the other matching window coverings as it was nicely cleaned up!).
