I'm really excited to have my patio screened by Shading Texas. From estimate to completion, it was a pleasure to work with them and have helpful communication throughout the process. I had permanent triangular screens installed at the top that was done ahead of time. When the motorized screens came in, I noticed the material looked different. Not sure if what was off, but they recognized the difference and came out to replace them so that they matched perfectly. I love the idea of having a bit of privacy and yet still being able to look out onto the view! Looking forward to less bugs (I live on a greenbelt) and using it throughout the winter with a bit of a heat source! We could not be more happy with our screened in porch! We really enjoy the 3 screens controlled by 1 remote control and we use our porch now year round. We've been able to create an outdoor living room, keeping the screens down most of the time since they can withstand 100mph winds. This keeps everything inside protected from dust & pollen. We moved into a new home and the bedroom had floor to ceiling windows facing the setting sun. Our bedroom would get 15 degrees hotter every afternoon. Jared came in and we decided on one huge "blackout blind". This was a HUGE project, and I had my doubts, but they came out and had it installed within the afternoon once the large special order blind had arrived (just a couple of weeks later). July 21, 2021 Review for Shading Texas. We purchased a beautiful awning from Shading Texas! The awning is well made, has strong weather resistant material, and is easy to use. It is motorized, and the remote works well. It extends and retracts easily and precisely. The owner, Matt Pierce, first came out to our rather remote home to inform us thoroughly, to talk through what kind and size would make sense for us, and to measure and show us samples of the material. - That took a long time and Matt was very patient. A couple of days later we regretted the color and the solid pattern we had chosen, and called Matt to change it. We now wanted a pattern that we found on line. It turned out they didn't have a sample of this one in stock, so Matt actually ordered a sample and brought that back out here for us to see. We had thought the change could be done over the phone, but he came all the way back out here. He wanted us to see the actual sample to be sure we liked it. We then received a very clear contract. Shortly thereafter a crew of three came and put up the shade. - It turned out they had put the shade a couple of inches to one side and also had not bolted it as Matt and we had agreed on. After a phone call another crew immediately came by to fix that to the specs originally agreed upon. As the second crew left, our gate accidentally closed on their - new looking - truck! The gate made three rather deep gauges and hit a side mirror. We were very sorry and very upset. But the crew took this so calmly. They said it was their work truck. We do have insurance, and asked Matt to take an extra look at the damage. But he took it just as calmly as the crew, and told us not to worry about it. If anything goes wrong, the company's policy is to call them for any service other than keeping it clean, rather than attempt to fix it yourself. So far, we have enjoyed the awning tremendously, and we use it daily to sit in the shade on our porch. J & E read more

We had three 10 ft sun shades installed on the west facing upper deck. Matt Pierce and company did a fantastic job and they look perfect-color and install (even with a slightly unlevel deck). They really keep the flooring and that side of the house (lots of glass) cool. Very happy with our outdoor motorized sun and bug screens. Was able to get everything fully enclosed on back patio facing west sun. It has been great to reduce heat in the summer months and now will enjoy the screens blocking cool winds in fall months so we can enjoy outdoor fireplace.
