We had 5 cameras mounted on our soffit. The soffit was on the second story, but the building height is equivalent to three stories. We had Brent over to install a few outdoor security cameras, relocated my internet provider gateway to my office, and do a few network drops into my upstairs rooms. Brent was very professional and did a great job on the install. His attention to detail and his ability to get wires literally anywhere in my house was amazing. The wires were cleverly hidden and he wired up my cameras in a way where upgrading to newer models will be super easy. For context, he's very familiar with UniFi cameras (he installed some AI Pros, G6 PTZ, and some bullet cameras). Brent planned and installed 3 Unifi cameras around our house. He worked with me to start on the back yard first to avoid waking up my 7mo old daughter during her nap, made sure to tweak the camera positions with me with the Unifi app before locking them in place, and was really friendly and knowledgeable overall. I can not believe that I forgot to leave Brent Hernandez of DVI a review for the excellent service that he provided me on May 2nd of 2023. Brent installed a complete 6 camera security system on my trailer (hid all the wiring under the awnings, so it is very hard to tell there is wiring anyway but the end of the trailer. Covered all wiring that was within reach with metal coverings so no one could cut the wires and made it a "stand alone" system. I have never felt so secure in my home. I have a 4K monitor so that I can clearly see the 4K cameras and have not had a problem one - until this tornado last week which shattered one of the cameras. His price was honest and fair and I did not feel that I had been charged too much. I would highly recommend him! read more

Brent from DVI did an amazing job to restore my home ethernet network! I just moved into a new home with dozens of cables from the central panel going into the wall. I wanted to get ethernet connection to a few locations around the house with existing ethernet jacks, more cables from the wall, and some existing switches, but they weren't working. Brent meticulously traced cables to find the right ones to restore connection. He even looked through my attic to find one essential cable that was cut for some unknown reason and fixed it. He added RJ45 connectors and faceplates for multiple cables and outlets. He even patiently tested many cables and switches to make sure they were working with my laptop. Brent did all this in 2 hours, talked me through everything he was doing, made sure I took notes and labeled the important cables, and left the work areas clean and neat. Originally I was just going to buy a system in a box and have someone install it for me. Brent explained the advantages of putting together a custom system based on exactly what I needed now and in the future. I couldn't be happier with that decision. All of the camera installations were carefully mapped out for best coverage and after everything was installed and neatly wired up, Brent walked me through how to use the app and the controls on the nvr (network video recorder). I would highly recommend DVI for both price and service. The Yelp reviews are true, DVI is awesome! I have an older NVR I got from Costco whose hard drive failed. I bought a replacement surveillance drive on Amazon for around $60 and Brent installed it and only charged me $45. I spoke to several other security companies and no one would repair what I had and only offered me $1200+ replacement systems with fewer cameras than I already had and a monthly fee. Not only was the work super well done and reasonably priced, Brent is a very nice person who responds quickly to all queries. Seriously, you couldn't asked for a better experience and you can really tell that he is a genuinely good person. He was even nice to my unruly dogs and nosy cats while he worked! read more

The company I work for called around a few places then decided for hire Brent with DVI to fix some of our security cameras and update the others. We have had issues with blurry ones, some flickering in and out due to wiring issues, etc. Keep in mind this was a system that is quite a few years old and was originally installed by someone else. He came in, looked at it figured out what would need to be done, and then sent us a fair quote. Everything was completed quickly. He kept me abreast of what was going on during the process and was very professional. We had a couple of cameras that he was able to fix instead of replace so he was able to save us money too. Brent setup my CCTV system that had been sitting in storage for nearly 8 months. I received a dozen quotes from different companies all wanting $150-$200 per camera for installation. I was very pleased with the home camera security installation job that Brent completed. He first came by my house and provided me with a no obligation, free estimate of the work. He took a look at the camera system that I had already purchased, gave me a quote for installing the system and moving my internet router.
