We moved into a rural area near Bertram, Texas and the only internet provider was Rise broadband. The service was horrible and we could barely stream movies! Our Wifi was down more than it was up! We finally decided to make the switch to a new internet provider named Hill Country Web. We are so happy with the great service we received from this company. Our internet is very reliable and fast now! We can stream movies with no problem. We also use our Wifi to call out or receive calls on our cell phones. Bruce Keene, the owner, has personally come out to our house to help us solve a router problem after the severe thunderstorm and flooding in the Hill Country. This is the only internet provider in the Spicewood area unless you choose to go satellite with limited data and streaming plans. Hopefully fiber or something else makes it's way out here at some point, but until then prepare yourself for spotty coverage, unprofessional service, and $200 service fees when it goes down. read more

I originally got 10Mbos, but they not able proved 3Mbps consistently now pay for 7 and most times can not get 1Mbps... now have cost of their useless antenna on my house! Cant even send email reliably. read more
