I have been aboard with Hillcountry Networks for over six months now and would like to commend Rick, Aiden et al on the outstanding job they have done. Quaility of signal, pricing and especially promptness of service are all over the top. Im hooked up to four separeate TV viewing areas and seldom experience anything but a crystal clear picture. Costs are in line with the going rate of lessor options in the area. And finally, the two times I have needed attention it was either handled over the phone or a knowledgeable service person was at my house within 24 hours or much quicker. I've been a customer for 10 years and have been satisfied with their service. When I have problems with conductivity Rick and his team are quick to respond via text and remedy the situation within a few hours. Sometimes the issue is resolved before I send the text. Be sure to use text to reach out to Rick that's the fastest way. Minimal downtime occurs but I have seen slowdowns in the evening when everybody is streaming movies. When I look at reviews of other Internet providers in the area Hill country tea exe seems to be doing a similar job. read more

Hill Country Networks offers very poor internet service- I have not had even minimal internet since mid October. It does not help when I have to drive up to a nearby hill to text their number. they never make any effilort to fix anything. Do not sign up with this awful company. read more

Yeah, have to 100% agree with Melissa R. here. It has been out for the past 2 months at least 5 days a week for several hours a day each. This past week haven't had but one drop, but the download speed went to 0.1 Meg when it was previously near 14. There's also the matter of service, texting their number result in an answer maybe a couple times a year if that. Have never gotten a response via e-mail. read more

This is the WORST internet service provider. Unfortunately, it's a being held prisoner kind of situation because there is NO other provider in the area. Fortunately, it appears that there may be soon. This internet service is OUT at least 5 times in a 7 day week, and that's being nice. If it's raining you can absolutely count on service outage for sure. ABSOLUTELY COUNT ON IT not just once a day but all day or 8-10 times through out the day. Frustrating does not even begin to explain the feeling of constantly having to reset your router, turning it off, waiting, turning it back on, reselecting it on your TV, Computers, Gaming stations, etc.The cost for this service is approximately $100/month for JUST INTERNET that barely works! There appears to be just one employee in the Dripping Springs area. Poor guy is constantly working non-stop but he can't hold this company up on his own. Every person that we know in our area has to have an alternate mobile hotspot. And for some, this can be very costly. It's the hill country, we get it. But with modern technology you'd think someone would figure this out. read more

I have been with Hillcountry Networks since before YouTube and streaming videos. These guys built towers to get internet close to us in the hills west of Austin. Always great response even when we had dumb questions. Things break, PEC looses power, lightning strikes, high winds topple trees and towers. The internet is always back up. Get used to country living when you move here from the big city. I have no contract with these guys but continue to choose them after many many years. read more
