We have been using Spry Wireless for a while now and could not be happier. As many people in this area know, the internet service is horrible. But that is not the case with Spry Wireless. They really care about their customers so much. We have spoken to many of the employees who work there, and everyone is so knowledgable and friendly, they really want to help. There service prices are great and they really provide top speeds that allow you to do what you need to do. There is no bad service/signal and it feels like luxury internet service when using the Spry Wireless network. After years and years of bad internet in the Texas Hill Country, this company is like a breath of fresh air to us. While it is so easy to complain, not enough people say thank you. Spry Wireless is (so far) the best Internet option we've found in the 19 years we've lived here. Here's some background: We live in a canyon between Dripping and Wimberley. Our Internet Service in 2004 was DSL, then in 2005 we got WISP - the wireless technology that sends wifi over radio waves from a tower to your roof receiver. The seller oversold their towers and speeds were no faster than DSL but at a higher price so we went back to DSL. Much later we discovered cellular modems hooked up to an antenna could get you relatively fast internet but it was mostly against the ToS of the big 3 cell companies. So we bought SIMs from third parties and had ok service for a few months before the carriers discovered it and would turn off the spigot. We'd find a different third party SIM seller and repeat the process. Obviously that was not a good long term plan. Then the big 3 finally got savvy and actually started selling legitimate cell modem / hotspot SIMs but they either oversold our area or we had to compete with cell phones for a tower and our speed plummeted, sometimes no faster than DSL. We were on Starlinks wait list for 2 years - some of my neighbors originally raved about it but now a few say the service has become inconsistent. We finally got our deposit back. The owner of a company cutting trees on my property mentioned that he used a newer WISP company called Spry and loved it. I called them up and they sent a survey and install team a few days later. They determined we had a direct line of sight to one of their towers and now we have consistent super fast internet and, if they uphold their promise not to oversell their towers (they are building 8 new ones as I write this), we can look forward to finally having useable internet without interruption. BTW, the installers Regan and Wade were wonderful - both knowledgeable and friendly. I noted that a few people here on Yelp gave Spry 1 star - I agree they are hard to reach some days but they do call back - its still a small company and suffers from growing pains as more and more people sign up. read more

These guys are incredible! The company I had been using previously was constantly having issues and it got to the point where going with another company was my only choice. Enter Spry Wireless. After reading the reviews, I was so impressed but what really interested me the most....they tend to give real time updates whenever they are working on their system. You can go on Facebook and see what they are up to, and they're always improving their system. I'm not sure who came up with the idea of posting notices on Facebook, but they are a genius! It makes you feel like Spry Wireless understands when we go through IWS - Internet Withdrawal Syndrome. You know the feeling ? Sweaty palms, nervous fidgeting and pacing around the room wondering what could be causing the issues. But no worries, with Spry Wireless, they get to the bottom of the problem. From Cody, to Paul and Ricky, these guys are on top of it. As someone who works in the tech field, I know what it is like to find people like these who are not only professional, but they very understanding and they really care about the job and quality that they do. If my wife and I ever have a son, we'll probably call him Ricky Paul because those two guys have saved us from Neanderthal internet forever. I told my wife last night, that I feel spoiled and I can't stop smiling. Trust me, these guys are the best of the best! I am not sure who the owner is, but he struck gold here, every single person I have dealt with at Spry is fantastic, from Cody answering questions, to Paul examining the tech aspects, to Ricky's awesome expertise in installing the gear and to their payment department and their staff. Finally an internet provider that actually works! Not only do I no longer have to be slowed down and frustrated with satellite service but I actually am able to accomplish tasks and not have an anxiety attack when bills are due and the internet times out before the payments are sent. I have been with this local company in Buda, TX for over 2 years now. Never is there a time when I don't get a personal response to a question and 9 times out of 10 Paul McKnight, the owner, responds. Paul is truly an entrepreneur with compassion and understanding. I have never been "put off" or put "on hold." Granted this service may not be Spectrum, Verizon, or At&t but when you live remotely you are grateful for any kind of modern technology. Paul is constantly upgrading the system and there are no extra fees attached. I paid twice as much as I do now for Dishnetwork's satellite 10 years ago.
