They are incredibly easy to work with, understanding when things change (especially when opening a new building and dealing with city permit delays) and even added onto the project when our national IT vendor wasn't able to install the needed networking equipment last minute. Cris and his team are very professional, do great work, and are very reasonable in cost. Need a personal recommendation on the specifics, ask them to connect you with me by email or phone and I'm happy to talk more about the work they did for us. Thanks Fusion!

The owner's response was to blame us for supplying the equipment -- despite the fact that cabling and installation was their contracted responsibility. When we pushed back and refused to pay in full for a job that wasn't completed, they retaliated by leaving defamatory reviews on our company's own review pages. This is not a company that stands behind their work or treats customers with any respect. Would not recommend under any circumstances.

These guys really knocked it out of the ballpark. They lost one star for telling me my computer was…read moreready before it was actually ready, and costing me a rush-hour trip across town... But seriously, my own shitty data management "techniques" are to blame for all the critical data I almost lost, but these guys really came through and delivered a badass repair on the not-so-expensive side of things. I'm so grateful that I should probably take these fellas out for ice cream or snow cones. They deserve it.

Rereading my original review, I regret that I was overly-snarky and sarcastic, and how clear it is…read morethat it came from a place of extreme frustration. I don't want other readers to think that I was exaggerating the negativity of my experience just out of impulse. So I am writing this update to say, with calm objectivity, that this is the worst business transaction I've ever made. For all the information packed in the comment the owner left under my original post, he really didn't explain exactly how I was charged. I will outline it as clearly as possible: *****The actual charge was $99, $107 after tax.***** --I incorrectly wrote in my original review (and the owner, even though he provided a detailed walkthrough of the entire exchange, didn't correct me) that I had been charged only "$50+". --This was to install a $25 CPU heatsink fan, which I had purchased myself, and is a necessary but not integral component in performance. --The job was done after 10 minutes, and, in retrospect, the removal of my entire motherboard was clearly to make it seem as though I was getting a better deal for the $100/hr rate I was being charged. (And yes, it was an hourly rate, so I'm sorry for originally suggesting that the technician was running up the clock on purpose to raise the fee. It would've cost $100 even if he had finished in 10 minutes.) --I was absolutely not quoted forthright when I called to set up the appointment, contrary to what the owner wrote in his comment. In this respect I'm definitely partially to blame for my bad experience. I really should have asked for a quote up front, and the only reason I didn't is that I find these types of things uncomfortable (and I'm young and naive, sure). At the same time, an absurd price is an absurd price, categorically. If I went to a grocery store and saw that they charged $8 for a box of cereal, I would probably go home and give it a bad review on Yelp, even if I didn't buy anything and avoided getting ripped off myself. In this case, the fan was installed correctly (which a technician at any computer repair service will be able to do), but my negative experience stemmed from the amount it cost me. I'm using my recourse to Yelp to explain exactly what happened, and in the hope that at the very least it may remind whoever reads it that they should get a quote before they purchase a service that they end up really regretting. As a final note, I should mention that the technical reason I didn't want to try to install the fan myself is that there's a small risk of your screwdriver slipping when trying to unscrew the old one from the CPU. If the screwdriver touches the motherboard, it can zap it with static electricity and completely fry it. You'd have to go out and buy a brand new motherboard, which is a nightmare situation because that's usually the most expensive part in any computer--the one I have in there now costs a little over $100.
