We have been a customer since 2015. I highly recommend Anvil as a quality ISP. Their prices may seem pricey to some but their uptime is nothing short of phenomenal. In those 6-1/2 years I can count service interruptions on less than one hand. Heck, they stayed on line during the 2021 "Snowmageddon." Yes, you have to buy your equipment to receive their microwave connection. They install it and Lonny (sp.) knows his stuff. Some folks will scoff at a wireless connection. When we moved into Woodcreek North, there were only one of two wireless ISPs around. Anvil was highly recommended by our neighbors. Since the installation in 2015, the cable guys moved into the neighborhood. Let's just say that my first paragraph describes why I stayed with Anvil even when cheaper alternatives with greater bandwidth arrived. It's called quality. I've used Anvil Communications for a few years now. Service is awesome. We have a remote building in north Hays, and Anvil has been pretty much rock solid since getting it setup. They came out and evaluated the site and did the installation well. They use high-quality Ubiquity point to point wifi equipment to remotely distribute service. Your mileage will vary however based on a lot of factors. As someone in IT, point to point wifi can get sketch if the conditions/site isn't correct. The only downside is the price. They are pretty expensive for the bandwidth you get... but with low round-trip times, they are still head-over-heels better than satellite internet. I've only had a few minor outages since getting the service setup. read more

Anvil is amazing! We had a lightning strike from last night's thunderstorm. I called Anvil at 12:30 PM to report that our internet was not working. Kevin called back right away. I am a new anvil communications customer - just a few hours to be exact, and I cannot tell you how HAPPY I am. I received first class service from them particularly - Lonnie. He came to inspect my house to ensure we could have service with anvil several months ago. He went above and beyond then. He saw that I have a metal roof and immediately thought that I would probably not want to drill in the roof. He found some clamps on the internet and priced them for me (proactively - I did not ask for, Wow, that is service). It took me several months to decide on the switch, but I finally did last week, and I called Anvil. Lonnie still had my information and scheduled the service for TODAY. He worked for SEVERAL hours. I cannot speak highly enough of anvil or Lonnie! My past internet service was Verizon (Frontier) HORRIBLE - it would never load a page, and we could never watch Netflix or any streaming the biggest scam DO NOT HAVE BUSINESS with Frontier call ANVIL they rock! read more

I've been with Anvil over a year now, and time to show my gratitude. Lonnie was great. Got in the attic and back braced the guy wires, ran the cabeling between the walls, made a high quality installation. For free. Purchasing the equipment is their effort to get you to stay with them long enough to recoup that cost. No worries, tho'. They are SO much faster than satellite it's hard to believe. Their PING has to be experienced. I've only had one outage, but it was two minutes from dialing their number and hanging up, and my service was back up. I can't recommend them enough. read more

I can not watch videos. They buffer for several minutes during a 2 minute video. They do not publish, advertise or guarantee speed. Email is OK. Web pages load slow. Good luck trying to reach anyone after 5PM or on the weekend. read more

This company is INCREDIBLE! Every single thing about them is stellar. Download and upload speeds are plenty fine, but the thing that sets them apart from other companies is their customer service. For starters, they always answer the phone, i.e., you don't have to leave a message and hope someone eventually gets back with you. Nancy has been great about keeping me informed in the rare event of a service call, and their technicians are super knowledgeable and professional. What's also amazing is that their prices are comparable or less than other providers in this area! If I could give them 10 stars I would. My father invested upwards to a quarter of a million dollars in this company. Basically helped build it from the ground up. He was not suppose to see a return on the investment until the business sold but was Garanteed free internet until that date. My father passed in 2008. Anvil wasted no time making claims on my father's estate upwards to 3 grand. They said it was service fees he never paid. Basically a huge lie but I told the estate manager not to worry about it that I didn't have time to address someone trying to stick their hands in a dead mans' pockets. Two weeks after that I recived a bill for internet service. I began calling the receptionist Nacey to ask that one of the owners call me, apologize for the bill and assure me that they would honor their agreement concerning the free internet service. I left over a hundred messages over the course of several months. Nancey seemed to take joy in the fact that I was forloned about my fathers death and upset over the matter at hand. After a couple of weeks I started to build a legal case against the company gathering all the documentation that proved I was to receive free service from the company. I finally told Nancey my intentions to sue and that I had the owners (Burt Johansen) address and I was going to start showing up at his house concerning the matter. A day latter Burt calls my lawyer with a signed affidavit saying I would receive the service as promised. The internet service is good but don't expect to be treated fair. These people seem to think reneging on an agreement with a dead man's son is funny. Not to mention they might go after your relatives if you die for money you never owed them. Simply trashy people. read more
