The the original installer apparently didn't complete the job and neglected a step. On March 30, 2026, I started receiving the same error message "no internet". This went on for 2 or 3 hours before internet service resumed without constant interruptions of no internet service. Yesterday April 8, 2026, at approximately 2:48pm I started receiving the same message "no internet". I rebooted, shut everything down and restarted. It worked for about 5 min before saying the same thing. So I called Astound and was told that I was going to need someone to come out because something was wrong AGAIN! I've only had Astound for 2 months and a technician has been required twice within that time frame. So everything I've heard about Astound appears to be true! Very Dissappointed!

    Avoid this company and their predatory pricing at all costs. They are charging us way, way, way…read moremore than than is reasonable for the insanely low level of service they are providing and when we try to cancel they want nearly 10K in early termination fees. There are much better options. Edit: I contacted customer service prior to coming here. That's where I got through nearly 10k to cancel figure. I don't know how you can justify $500/month for 100mbps service and then charge that absurd cancellation fee, but others need to be warned about you.

I would happily give a four star rating...until today. Spectrum gets two stars because of the reliable service and Tamiqua, the rep that was helping me cancel my account. It was clear she was following a script, asking me all sort of demographic information that was not necessary for canceling an account. I eventually asked her to skip the script which she did. She informed me that I would have to pay for the entire billing cycle, which was three additional weeks. I asked her to cancel today and prorate the bill. She said she could not. Tamiqua was wonderful and I give her full credit however Spectrum continues to be a greedy corporation, not really interested in positive client relations.

I have had spectrum service for nearly a year and I have not been without Internet or phone. If you are in the round rock area and you are obtaining spectrum service, I highly suggest you only work online and have your equipment delivered, because visiting this branch is frustrating and literally a waste of time. I've visited this branch probably a half a dozen times and I have never had good service.

Yes the wait at a Spectrum location is annoying but being lied to from Spectrum phone sales representatives is DISGUSTING!!! Ive had Spectrum service since July and ive talked to 7-8 phone representatives who have lied to me to get their sales. Ive even been told by Spectrum instore representatives that the phone representatives lie to customers to get sales. I no longer call Spectrum and will wait to Speak to someone at the Spectrum location. I got the tv and internet service then was told I will get free mobile service for 2 years. LIE!!! A different representative told me it was 1 year and not 2! Couldnt transfer my mobile phone Spectrum so I called to ask about buying a phone. He said they didnt have cellphones instore and that they could only be purchased over the phone. LIE!!! After I bought the phone I went to Spectrum location and they told me they have phones there. I then got the home phone also and found out a week later the price of that phone service was not the original price that that sales person gave me. Ive had 3 price changes on home phone service since then. SHAME ON DISHONEST SPECTRUM PHONE SALES REPRESENTATIVES FOR LYING AND SHAME ON SPECTRUM FOR LETTING THIS HAPPEN!!!

Please note that I live in a 1100 sq foot house so signal strength is not a concern. So here is why this review. Over the weekend, the mini TiVO stopped working and I got a "blue" screen that said there was no software. Ok, read online that this particular model has a "chip" issue. Not a big deal pick a new one up on Saturday. First frustration: Suddenlink only has 1 office and they are not open on the weekend at all. Ok fine I will go on Monday: Second frustration: Monday at store (nice but useless rep) says that "we do not have any equipment at this store so a tech has to come to your house" and "if it is anything but the TiVO we charge $60 bucks". So first, I did not need a tech, I needed a new box!!! Ask if they could mail a box to me? Nope a tech is the only option!! 3rd frustration: I decided that I wanted a second TiVO box when the tech comes, get told "nope that is a separate appointment". Really!!!! So at the point, I ask about buying my own TiVo and got told that was fine but I had to pay a $250 nonrefundable price for the Suddenlink "chip". So I said, cancel the extra TiVo and have the tech come out and give me a new box. So my frustration and question is: Why do you even have an office in Georgetown? It seems all they are allowed to do by cooperate is to take money and schedule the tech. Well guess what, there is an app! for that.

We ultimately decided on a mesh system, and the entire process felt very tailored to our home rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. He was extremely responsive, easy to communicate with, and on time. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and made sure we felt comfortable using the system before he left. He also tested everything thoroughly, which gave us a lot of confidence in the setup. The results have been a huge improvement. There is no more latency or lag during video calls, and our signal is now strong and reliable throughout the entire house. He is professional, knowledgeable, and left our home clean. Eric's quote was reasonable, well thought out and easy to understand. Of the 4 bids I requested, Wire Genie came in the middle in price but Eric was heads and above in his consideration and scoping of the task whereas many other installers seemed to be guestimating effort. Eric had a number of helpful suggestions both from camera positioning to running lines for future use and he did a phenomenal job on running a POE Doorbell camera behind brickwork and only needing one access cut that, at his suggestion, we put a 2-outlet blank faceplate over for future access/maintenance if needed. All cables were carefully labeled and terminated into my server rack patch panel. Awesome work!
