The the original installer apparently didn't complete the job and neglected a step. On March 30, 2026, I started receiving the same error message "no internet". This went on for 2 or 3 hours before internet service resumed without constant interruptions of no internet service. Yesterday April 8, 2026, at approximately 2:48pm I started receiving the same message "no internet". I rebooted, shut everything down and restarted. It worked for about 5 min before saying the same thing. So I called Astound and was told that I was going to need someone to come out because something was wrong AGAIN! I've only had Astound for 2 months and a technician has been required twice within that time frame. So everything I've heard about Astound appears to be true! Very Dissappointed!

When we try to cancel, they want nearly 10K in early terminal fees, and when they respond to your complaints with "get in touch; we'll have get you a better deal", they offer to up you to 500mbps for the same price, but only I'd you sign on for am additional three years of their insane costs. Just avoid them and their predatory pricing and go with Spectrum: you'll get faster service at greatly lower pricing and without the onerous contract.

He acted as a consultant, giving me options that I did not consider to solve my problem of hiding wires by putting the equipment in a closet, getting a more powerful antenna on my roof, and hooking it up to a DVR. He was one of few to offer a free quote, and his prices were the least expensive I found. But more importantly, he was always on time, offered quality service, and did a great job. I told him he's underselling his services, but apparently, he's fine with not charging more. He's that crazy good :-)

He said they didnt have cellphones instore and that they could only be purchased over the phone. LIE!!! After I bought the phone I went to Spectrum location and they told me they have phones there. I then got the home phone also and found out a week later the price of that phone service was not the original price that that sales person gave me. I would happily give a four star rating...until today. Spectrum gets two stars because of the reliable service and Tamiqua, the rep that was helping me cancel my account. It was clear she was following a script, asking me all sort of demographic information that was not necessary for canceling an account. I eventually asked her to skip the script which she did. She informed me that I would have to pay for the entire billing cycle, which was three additional weeks. I asked her to cancel today and prorate the bill. She said she could not. Tamiqua was wonderful and I give her full credit however Spectrum continues to be a greedy corporation, not really interested in positive client relations.

I have had spectrum service for nearly a year and I have not been without Internet or phone. If you are in the round rock area and you are obtaining spectrum service, I highly suggest you only work online and have your equipment delivered, because visiting this branch is frustrating and literally a waste of time. I've visited this branch probably a half a dozen times and I have never had good service.

TLDR: Great installer, don't hire someone else until you get a quote from Eric…read more I needed ethernet run for 3 cameras 2 wifi APs and a couple other drops. My house has fiber, but AT&T installed the Jack in the upstairs living room, on the other side and a floor above the wiring cabinet (cat5). I decided to relocate Everything to an upstairs closet. I got 2 quotes that were within a few percent of each other. The other installer said they needed to cut drywall for 2 drops, or run one outside and the other on the wrong side of the room. They were also going to just run a line from the fiber jack to the closet, leaving the AT&T box out in the open. When Eric came to do his quote he got deep in all the attics, found that he could pull one of the drops with a duplicate coax, and the slanted ceiling on the other was decorative most of the way so he could drop in the right spot. He also offered to pull a new fiber line to the closet. It all turned out great. one camera needed a small outside hop to the right spot, but he made sure that was OK before doing it. He did a very clean install, labeled the patch panel, wired up the rack beautifully, and cleaned all the mess afterward. The only cut drywall was in the closet for wires to come out.

Eric is now that guy for me with networking. My home has never had good internet. It was built before internet was much of a thing, it's stone, has radiant barrier, outdated connections, nonstandard shape, etc. I prepped Eric for these challenges among others and told him I had very high standards. He was undeterred and we set up a consultation. Eric had to have really impressed me, as I let him drill through stone which is highly uncharacteristic of me. I now have rock solid WiFi both inside and outside my house ~600Mbps for an extended distance and constant speeds over Ethernet even faster than that. I highly recommend Eric to bring an old home up to modern technological standards.
