I would use Glass Rehab again, and I would recommend them to my friends and neighbors. Roland (Ro) of Glass Rehab made the process of repairing our windows simple, and they did a quality job at a fair price.
We purchased a home with 20-year old, double pane, aluminum frame windows. We have installed replacement windows in 2 previous homes, and, based on our experience, we would not have windows replaced again unless new construction windows can be installed. The process where the old window is cut out and the replacement is installed without the new construction flange is susceptible to water infiltration.
During the remodel of our new house, we installed new Pella windows where remodel work was being done, but for the 11 windows in areas that were not remodeled, we asked Glass Rehab to replace seals that had deteriorated and glass that was no longer clear.
Glass Rehab did everything that I expect a good contractor to do: (1) respond to emails, texts and/or calls; (2) do what they say they will when they say they will; and (3) clean up after themselves. They did that and more. Ro communicated well about what he could do and potential issues that could occur during the repairs. He delivered the estimate when promised and scheduled and completed the work promptly. Ro even pointed out a piece he purchased and installed that he thought was not made as well as it could be and offered to replace it. We thought it was acceptable as is, but we appreciate and respect that he had the professionalism and integrity to bring it to our attention.
The picture shows the vinyl seal at the bottom of one of the windows before and after the seal was replaced. The glass that was replaced made a noticeable difference in the temperature in the room as well as the clarity. It is hard to show the difference in glass in a picture, but the new glass on the bottom is like looking through a good polarized lens with more vivid colors and more details visible in the trees. We believe that replacing the seals and replacing the glass with current low-E coated glass will deliver a better result than we would have gotten from one of the companies that does quick vinyl window replacement. If you don't want to pay for a high quality window and remodel-type install, we would recommend having Glass Rehab repair your existing windows. read more
