They…read morewere quick, at one point it was going to rain mid-way through the install so they pulled out all the stops and they got my roof done ahead of schedule before it rained. Since then the roof has held up great! Last week I started seeing a leak on the outside of my house. I called them up and the owner sent someone out the same day just to rule anything out. When they came out we both agreed that it didn't look like there was anything wrong with the roof, but that didn't stop them for doing their best to stop it from leaking they added some caulking around some holes in the stucco and masonry and fixed up some of the flashing near the leak. After that, it was still leaking, but Brad, the owner, was kind enough to come out again, even though it had NOTHING to do with the roof just to double-check on me and make sure that I was doing well. At the end of the day, they took off a side gutter and found a hole in the wall that the builders had left from when the house was built. Again, STILL not roof related, but they treated me like family and helped me as if it were and fixed it up for me. Literally cannot say enough good things about WDR! I've never found a company that is this helpful or this responsive.

After they finished painting my house, a few weeks later after heavy rains I noticed a stain on the ceiling of a guest bedroom. I knew immediately it was the long nagging problem of the "dead valley" along my roof. The house was designed and built according to the architect's drawings to have the roof of the first floor bedroom run into the siding of the house. It was a short "run" and rainfall should go quickly into the gutters. But, this was built under a big, old oak tree and for many years, I've had leaves and twigs built up, damming up the water. If I can remember it, I have to get up on a ladder with a rake and rake the leaves away from where the shingles meet the siding. After one major hailstorm, I had the roof replaced and when they replacing it, I asked them to build something to reduce the leave/branch damming. They did build it, but apparently not big enough. It lasted probably 14-15 years until this recent Spring. Since I had a good experience with 21st Century, I called them out to give me a bid on repairing what was probably rotted trim and exposed flashing and other rot elsewhere. And while they were at it, I asked them to build me a better diverter away from the siding. They came out and took care of it in a day. The guy was there from 8:30 to 5:00, taking a break for lunch, but got it done. Since they were also the painters, they asked me for the leftover paint they left for me (for touch-up) that came in handy as they had to replace the rotten trim and as it turned out a section of the roof decking. Attached are the pictures they took for the bid and then afterwards when they were complete. They were detailed enough to ask me first, "hey, this diversion we're putting in is a lighter grey then your shingles. Are you okay with that? We can go back and get darker materials". I said that was fine. No one can see that part of the roof and so it was trivial to me. The only negative thing from the painting and the roofing experience is so minor it's not worth taking away a star is that there will be a gap between when you sign and return the contract and they contact you about scheduling the actual work. In both cases, I had to drop them a line to remind them I was in the queue. Being a service that can't work when it's raining, I can understand that they have days where scheduled work is delayed and that causes a snowball effect of delays.

Then after multiple no-shows and one time they showed up when we couldnt do the job, they did work and claimed the job was complete. They did not put back the tiles, left trash all over the balcony, and tracked all sorts of mud in the house. I could live with this, but the next time it rained, water poured through the roof. Prior to them working on the roof, there was no water pouring through ever, so they literally made the problem worse. Their employee and someone who appears to be the head of their subcontracting crew came out and each had a different opinion on what the problem was. They claimed to have fixed the issue and offered to paint over the damaged part their leak caused. Already this was a terrible experience but i was patient hoping they would fix the issue. I paid the remaining invoice, but in the latest rain storm water came pouring through on multiple locations. I have really tried to be patient because I understand that home services is a tough business but at this point I cannot trust them and their cheap subcontractors to complete the job properly. And I have no idea how much mold and rot there is in my ceiling as a result of their shoddy work. I really hope they will make this right and I hate to have to leave such a bad review, but several months in I have a roof that is worse off than before and I simply do not know if i can trust them to fix the issue.

I recently had a leak around my skylight after getting a new roof installed by another company that…read morerefused to honor their warranty. I suspected the flashing wasn't done correctly, so I called Transcendent Roofing for an inspection, repair quote, and a defect report my lawyer had requested. Yes, I was planning on filing a claim against the original roofer. Will came out promptly and inspected my roof at no charge. He was professional, honest, and thorough. After checking everything, he confirmed that the workmanship on my roof was solid and that the issue was likely just degraded sealant between the skylight panel and the metal frame. I was relieved to hear the roof was in great shape and that I wouldn't need to take legal action against the other company -- good riddance to them for ignoring my repair requests! Will clearly explained my options: replace the skylight, remove it altogether, or try a simple "wait-and-see" fix with new sealant. He never pressured me one way or another, and when I asked how much the quick fix would cost, he just smiled and said, "No charge." Within the hour -- after a quick trip to Lowe's for sealant, on his own time and dime -- he was back up on the roof applying new sealant around the skylight frame. I really appreciate his honesty, professionalism, and fairness. If the leak ever returns, I'll definitely be calling Will and Transcendent Roofing again. He also pointed out that it might be time for some masonry work around my chimney, since he noticed a few holes in the mortar. What a great guy. Thanks, Will!
