Would definitely recommend Capital City Roofing. Came out same day I called after a storm, and had the quote back and roof repaired all in less than 24 hours. Amazing! Friendly and trustworthy to work with. Thanks Chris and team! read more

They did a roofing job across the street from us. When they were leaving they turned around in our driveway and spilled white latex sealer. We called the owner and a few days later he sent someone over. They denied doing it and refused to clean it up. read more

I felt that Alan had provided me with honest options for my budget and told me which things didn't need repair as well. I will be using them for my next roof work! Thanks! read more

This review should have been written last year but here it is finally! We went with Capital city roofing after receiving 4 other quotes. We needed 4 skylights & our existing metal roof from the late 70's replaced. Shae Downs came out immediately & he really is educational & not pushy! The new metal roof and skylights have made a dramatic difference-no more leaks!! Capital City was thousands of dollars cheaper & offered a 10 year warranty. Call Shae Downs (512-949-9180) today if you want a great roof @ an amazing price! read more

Finding a roofer is TOUGH in this city. Am thankful for a referral to these guys, who did a perfect job of working with my insurance. They followed the adjuster's report to the letter to get my new roof - and did an amazing job repairing the chimney cap. Paul was easy to work with, made multiple site visits, worked with my Realtor, and drafted letters to present to a potential buyer. That's customer service! His crew arrived on time, did the job in one day, and didn't smash or break anything. Not a single tree branch! Can you tell I've dealt with awful roofers before? Paul was polite and on-track with billings, both when requesting and confirming payment. If you need a new roof in the Austin area, especially if it involves your insurance, call and ask for Paul. read more

We were given an estimate for a roof repair almost a month ago. We called the number on estimate and tried to set up the repair. We had to call multiple times just to make sure we were on schedule. We called last week again since we hadn't heard back and they said the job would be taken care of this weekend.. well it is Monday and still roof has not been repaired. We called office to see what was going on and no one called us back. We close this Friday and now have to find a new company that will actually do the work. read more

I gave them a call due to a roof leak the week between Christmas and New Year. Being the holidays I wasn't sure what to expect. Dan, got Alma looking for a free slot. Though they couldn't get to me before another quick rain, when Freddy did arrive he made short order of the offending tiles, nails and vents. He was super fastidious and had just the right amount of personality to make me comfortable with his approach. I will definitely use Capital City again. read more

I have used this company on two occasions. I just want to mention if anyone is looking for a roof company, please consider Capital City Roofing, LLC., Dan Mailin. His service and response time is impeccable. Just wanted to share a good experience that I have had with this company. Shea Downs with Capital City did an amazing job when we needed a new roof on our rental property in Central Austin. My tenants called and said they had water leaking into the house and Shea was super responsive interacting and coordinating with the tenant on my behalf. He offered to meet our insurance agent out there to show him the hail damage that he saw on the roof. The result - insurance paid for a new roof. All in all, a great consultative experience with high customer service. I would highly recommend and would use him again in a heartbeat. read more

Great job. My salesman Kyle was exceptional. He was honest, quick, and kept in in constant communication with us in regards to weather delays, etc. They were in and out within a day. Only negatives were some trash left behind and they left a gate open, so our dogs got out (they were recovered soon after.) Yes, I would hire them again. read more

First bit of good news I've gotten all week. We had a small leak in our roof that (somehow) knocked out our water heater. I've been getting gargantuan estimates from plumbers, and was told I needed a roofer, too. Great... I was referred to Alan at Capital City Roofers. Gave him a call after 5 pm, and he was able to come by the next day, first thing in the morning. He checked out the problem, let me know that actually most of the roof was in good shape and well-installed. He went up on the roof (in the rain), and when he came down he let me know he went ahead and sealed up the leak, and that should be it. Minor problem, minor fix: NO CHARGE. Don't expect the same for your roof, of course, but man I needed some good news, and now I can get on with being gouged by plumbers. Will definitely use these guys for any future roofing needs. Thanks Alan. read more

I have one name for you at Capital City Roofing, Alan Hughes. If you need to be guided through the process of having your roof repaired and perhaps it's your first time, or you have a jaded perspective about sales professionals, or maybe you think your insurance carrier is "sticking it to you on a claim" (our issue and it was with Allstate) or you just don't have time and need someone to trust, Alan is your man. Don't make another call, Capital City Roofing and more specifically, Alan Hughes, will treat you with the respect you deserve. He will lay out your options, good and bad, and take you through the process. Brother Alan, IS "The Man"................ read more

I'm a Realtor in Austin for the last 10 years. Capital City Roofing has been helping me on some roof jobs during that time and I have been nothing but pleased with their work. Dave Moss is my contact over there and he has handled ever job with great care. During the last few months with all the rain and roof damages they were still able to help me get the jobs done so we could close the deal. Check them out they are the ones to call! read more

I referred Capital City Roofing to a friend of mine. He was there repairing their roof within a day! Great work ethic

Alan Hughes and Dan Malin are amazing! Great job and they delivered as promised. We had extensive hail damage on our roof and gutters and they were in and out on time and did a great job. Thanks! read more

BEWARE! I had my roof replaced and upgraded to metal with a substantial out of pocket cost. The flashing, cricket and roof jacks were not replaced per our contract causing substantial damage to our interior. The money was paid for these repairs and Capital City Roofing pocketed the money and refuses to make good on repairs and contract. read more

CCR claimed to do flat roof specialty and did a hack job, hence leaking everywhere during the april and may rains. Yes there may have been some leaks prior to replacing the 20 year roof, but hence, the new roof replacement. Dan and his crew came back and repaired the roof with caulk etc so many times, at least four between end of March (immediately following new roof and before I closed on the house) and then probably about three more times if not more. Know this everyone, Dan Malin, its owner, may be qualified for normal roofing; specialty he is not. Unfortunately I learned legal process after all of the rains and the horrendous "repairs". I could not afford to start that process over again for 45 more days of rain and dan's insufficient repairs to force a legal action to get any of my roofing funds back. Although the attorneys were dying to get him for much more. I even tried to settle with Dan and he simply offered to do more "repairs." I have an official report of the job done by Capital City Roofing prior to replacing it this month. It and other expert roofer testimonials cite open seams where you could put your finger into (videos showing this), the metal wasn't even replaced and almost rusted through in many places, the insulation board was removed and not replaced and the scuppers' heights were not even adjusted to accommodate the lacking insulation board. STAY AWAY from this charismatic roofer. Even his specialty sub guy told me verbally all I could do was get a new roof. Offered to bid but then went radio silent because I'm guessing he didn't want to get pulled in. How could I trust his quick fixes when he'd only come in 15 minutes and had expressed I needed a new roof and much, much more? Instead I put the attorney money to a new roof. read more

These guys did my neighbor's full roof and my neighbor recommended them to me for repairs after a big storm last week. Fair price, fast service, friendly, etc. You can tell by their words and their actions that "word-of-mouth" is important to them. They made me happy so I'll be recommending them to my other neighbors and friends. read more
