It's clear that our experience is not an isolated incident but part of a disturbing pattern with their construction arm. Their 5-star reviews? All for their mitigation side of the business. I agree that their mitigation team acted quickly to stop the source of flooding in our home, but that's where the positives end. That initial success led to the demolition of our home, starting us on a journey that turned into a 17-month nightmare--far beyond the quoted 6-8 weeks. Mismanagement and Disrespect from the Start What should have been a straightforward project spiraled out of control due to WB Arthur's gross mismanagement. Mario, the project manager, was either incompetent or completely indifferent to the delays, errors, and poor workmanship that plagued our home. Despite repeated requests, he failed to properly supervise the work or communicate with his team. The result? Workers watching Youtube videos to try and figure out how to do very basic tasks, lacking materials or instruction, and always needing to be managed by us. A Pattern of Poor Workmanship and Denials The project dragged on for an unbelievable 17 months. When the original contractor walked out, WB Arthur sent a replacement crew after a 10 month delay, instead of fixing issues, often made things worse. One example: they drilled holes in our dishwasher, rendering it unusable. When we confronted them, they initially denied responsibility, despite it being obvious that the damage was their doing. They eventually replaced the dishwasher, but only after a drawn-out argument. Lack of Professionalism and a Disregard for Our Home Adding to the frustration, workers showed up intoxicated, and Mario himself exhibited immature and unprofessional behavior. The final straw came when Mario pulled his team off the job without explanation, leaving our home in a state of disarray. Conclusion: Avoid WB Arthur's Construction Services at All Costs Our 17-month ordeal with WB Arthur was exhausting and infuriating. When I need help I call Aycox Maid Service of San Marcos, Tx. I have called them for some really tough jobs and have never been disappointed. I have contracted cleaning to them for carpets, windows, offices, hard floors, floor finish stripping, waxing and other jobs. I always get an excellent job with very detailed results! I recently used Aycox Cleaning to clean a huge stainless steel commercial vent a hood which was covered with grease (interior, exterior, and filters) and disgustingly filthy, when they were finished it looked band new. I was so impressed I also had them clean the stainless steel back plates around the kitchen appliances. I can't believe the difference It made, the kitchen looks brand new. I am so glad I choose them to do the job. They knew how to get it clean quickly and what to use to make it sparkle. I have had the vent cleaned by others who took three times as long to clean, cost me a fortune, it didn't look anywhere near as good and it was loosing what little shine it had within a week. It has been about a month since cleaned by Aycox Cleaning and still looks new. I have learned my lesson, never again will I waste my time and money with cleaning companies who do not have the experience and expertise to know how to get the job done quickly and efficiently. This company is professional, friendly and honest. They can have the keys to my commercial and residental cleaning jobs when I need help anytime because they are truly professional when it comes to cleaning and totally trustworthy. Excellent customer service, very prompt, outstanding experience! I was selling my house, and 2 weeks before closing, my washer overflowed and left 2 inches of water all over my kitchen, living room, closets, and bedroom while I was sleeping. Upon discovering the horrible situation, I called 6 other water extraction companies and not one of them could get out until the next day. With water damage, every minute counts and I knew the damage would be so much worse if we didn't get the water up that night. My 7th call was to WB Arthur. Zack answered the phone and said he could get a guy out within 30 minutes. I cried in relief. Sure enough, Eddie showed up and extracted water until 2 in the morning. The fans and dehumidifiers did their thing and the carpet pad and carpet were completely dry in no time, saving me from replacing them. Then, when the company that was originally supposed to help with the rebuild flaked out, my insurance adjuster called Trey at WB Arthur and explained that I was a week away from closing and in need of build back help, and could he help. He bent over backwards to get folks over to do all the repairs, retack and stretch carpet, and cleaned the carpets before my buyers' walk through. AYCOX IS THE BEST We have managed rentals in the area for many years and have employed many alleged carpet cleaners. We find most of them are flybynighters who have little machines on their pickups or obsolete units in their vans full of dirty water. Most of them advertise steam cleaning but do not even know what steam is. They know little of carpets and do not care. Aycox is an exception. Not only does Ken Aycox know what steam is, he makes certain it is being delivered to the carpets no matter how long a hose is needed (we have some 2 storey units). We have had some units wherein the rugs appeared destroyed by tenants using the rugs as toilets for their pets and numerous other abuses and damages. We first employed Aycox as an experiment and were not optimistic concerning the outcome because we knew the carpets had to be replaced. When we saw the results, we were actually astounded because he made them look like new. And where dogs had chewed up the carpets Aycox was able to graft good carpet from the closet floors into the damaged area, being careful to match the grain of the repair so it looked right. Aycox is able to remove toilet stink from carpets without the typical masking by strong perfume odor. And that odor never comes back. Aycox has saved us $thousands.
