Air Pro has been a life saver. When we had issues with the duct work separating from the unit, they were the only company that came out and take care of it for us and they did it quickly and affordably. Later when our normal AC person told us they did not have our coil in stock and it would be two months, Air Pros was there in two days and had it fixed. This year they made multiple trips to resolve a warranty issue and they ensured it was fully resolved, not happy with it just being better, even when I was. Thanks to their diligence it is running better than I think it ever has. Excellent Service! Last Friday around 5:00 PM, my A/C stopped cooling. I called Air Pro at 8:00 on Saturday morning and a repairman was here at 11:45 AM. Amazing that they are open on Satuday and I did not have to pay an "after hours" fee. He did an excellent job and had the unit back in service and cooling in a very short time. Paid $2k to have vents and exhaust fans cleaned. I have 2 units and found mold that needed to be sanitized and he said he would throw in the cleaning the dryer vent. After he was done he said he doesn't do bathroom exhaust fans which was my primary reason for calling them out. The tech wanted me to review him on the spot and I wanted to review later on Google. He tapped a few things on my phone and gave himself a 5! I kick myself for being such a pushover thinking I could figure out how to delete the review. I question he cleaned the smaller ac vent as it wasn't clean like the big ones and he never did the dryer vent , both of which I failed to notice till he left. We have had a service contract with Air Pro for over a decade. Service calls/needs are handled promptly. Our AC is "out" as I write this on a day when temps are expected to hit 100. I know that after I call them, a tech will be here promptly LATER---four hours later, Joe, who has been here before, appeared at our front door. Don't use this company the only reason that I'm using them is because my home builder contracted them out and I have a service contract with them. They installed my AC unit and they have had to come out to my house no less than five separate times to fix it. It keeps freezing over constantly. I think today makes number 6 and they're not even going to be able to come out today, they can only come tomorrow because they're low on techs, which basically means that my family and my dogs have to suffer in the heat because they can't figure out how to do their job properly. Wow. This year has been a scorcher! I could not believe it when I came home today to discover that my a/c had not been cooling, and it was a sultry 90 degrees inside the house....panic, along with oven-like air filled the atmosphere, and I almost melted, literally....then, I was advised to call Air Pro..... I have to say, these people are ANGELS! Aida answered the phone and at first seemed too busy but let's face it, it is August in Austin, but she told me specifically that someone would be here today, and their staff has no set hours. She said they finish when they get done, not when a clock tells them when to finish.... At about 6 p.m., two men showed up and had my a/c cooling within 8-10 minutes! The run capacitor was bad, and they just charged me the service call, not even for the repair (even though the parts were under warranty). I could not believe it!! I am so very thankful for the staff and quickness, after all, I called them after one o'clock today and they could have easily charged me an emergency call or whatever they wanted, we were so desperate but they were professional, FAST, and are highly recommended by us! I have an AC here at my house in Buda. It was installed perfectly and I have never had an issue in more than 18 months.

The technicians are always friendly and helpful, but one of the customer service reps, Brenda, is very rude and kind of condescending. She kept insisting that she had informed me of a fee that I had not heard anything about until the technician informed me when he was already at the house! If she had indeed informed me of the fee beforehand, I would've said "Never mind, don't send someone out," but she said that it was "absolutely not true" that I didn't know about it. She doesn't seem to know how to talk to customers politely and respectfully, and it's extremely off-putting. I don't believe the "customer is always right" mentality, but I also don't think you should be rude and insist that what they're saying is "absolutely not true." read more

Gene M. attempted to get me to drop my price on a couple Septic Installations when he informed me that he screwed up on a couple of items he was handling on the same job ( ie.. a well installation and an electrical service entrance foul up) First regarding a job that was coming up on the site we were reviewing....he asked me to list a Mobile Home as a four bedroom when in fact it was a five bedroom Mobile home. When I told him I wouldn't do that because the TCEQ Rules wouldn't allow it...he them told me he had a quote of $1,000 cheaper on the first Mobile home that I had just investigated the site and soil on! I had just dug the test holes and conducted the site evaluation... nobody had been there prior to me at that moment! Not even Gene M. Himself! This Person is not ethical in my opinion! This company has worked on and installed countless AC units on our personal homes and investment homes for the last 12 years. When Mike was there he was always service oriented and fixed things properly. Now.....its a train wreck. We had a new AC unit installed in September of 2014 on our personal home. The unit started having trouble 3 or 4 months later with the float valve. Had a proper inspection done on it and was told that this was terrible work and it should be reported to The Department of Licensing and Regulation. I took photos and started a file. After 3 more AC breakdowns and repairmen blowing me off I finally got in touch with Gene...the owner of Air Pro. He came out and was embarrassed for the work his company had done and tried to repair it. That was in April of 2015... 6 months after brand new installation. Today is August 5, 2015. My AC is blowing hot air. I called AIR pro to repair because this unit is still UNDER WARRANTY! Brenda ...who answers the phones ... told me that I owed on a bill of a small $98.00 from when we called In AprIl to repair the "broken" brand new AC. My understanding was that it was under warranty for a year. Quite frankly $98.00 is nothing in the grand scheme of things so I'm not quite sure why she wasn't eager to fix my current WARRANTY issue. My husband had to call Gene ...the owner ...because I was about to lose it with Ms. Brenda. I agree with the other reviews regarding Air Pro...disorganized, rude to customers, terrible customer service and Ms. Brenda takes ALL of these things to a colossal level. I'm a Real Estate Broker...deal with repair people all the time. Stay way from these people. I think my next step will be The Department of Licensing and Regulation. I don't know what good it will do but at least it's a try. Why not.....I haven't had a good fight since my last phone call with Brenda! This is wrong to do to people...take our money and not provide a proper product then slow play the repair. I'm hot...my dogs and family are hot. I've been in my house for 7 years (it was a new build/renovation). Brand-spanking new AC units installed by Air Pro - everything new. Every year since then I've had problems with the system. Yes. I agree with couple of previous reviews. Stay away from this company. I have called Air Pro for fixing my AC on Thursday (7/25/2019)and the guy (Roger) come in within 2 hrs. I ask him to check the evap coil but he said he could not find any thing wrong with it. But go ahead charge with new refrigerant for $398. The fix last for two days. Today, he come in and told me the evap coil is bad and he want to charge more money. Oh, did I mention Air Pro is the one that replace my evap coil back in 2012. It did not last for long. My point is why not diagnose the issue at the first place and fix it. read more

Poor installation, promises broken - as in - they said they'd come out but never show up - not once but 3 times. Installed a new unit - 3 weeks later its failing and they can't be bothered to come out and fix it. Stay away from these people they are disorganized, have lost most of their skilled workers and don't seem to care anything about the customer. Our HVAC was overdue for a check up. Called on Thursday got a quote and set appointment for Friday. They called in advance, arrived on time, got all the work done efficiently. Brenda called later with the with the invoice amount which came in under the quoted amount. AC is running noticeably cooler. We'll call them again next time. read more

I recently had to contact this company and was not impressed at all. The unit that they installed shortly over a year ago has gone out. When I called the company to check on the warranty status they explained that it only has a year warranty and I was on my own. We had a service tech come out to the house and explain that the unit was either faulty or the installation process wasn't done correctly. With that information the owner of Air Pro states that it isn't their problem and was very patronizing. He wasn't even the slightest bit compassionate or helpful. In fact, his comments were immediately defensive and rude. I will never use this company again, or refer anyone to have to deal with their unacceptable behaviors. The lack of customer service here is just disheartening. Please think twice about using this company or any of their services, you will be highly disappointed. read more

My 35+ year old AC unit went out in July 2018 on a 111 degree day. I called Air Pro (new company for me) on a Friday late afternoon, and Brenda Dexter promised they would have someone there the next day before noon. I thought I would have to wait until Monday, so this was a relief. A technician showed up on time, was pleasant, and thorough. I really did not want to replace this unit, and so he gave it a charge (not sure if this is the right term). It ran for about 48 hours, then pooped out. Once again, Brenda responded very quickly to my distress by sending another technician out. To make a long story short, Air Pro did everything they could to revive my unit (at my request). In the end, I realized I needed a new unit. The nice people at Air Pro provided me with the technical information I was seeking about units (heat pump? no heat pump?) to help me make my decision. I was provided a very professional quote, and went with a Carrier unit. A team of 3 men came out to install the new unit (remember, scorching temps), working all day (less 30 minute lunch break) until the job was finished and I had cool air. They left not a trace of old parts, etc., behind. Another thing that impressed me was the communication between the men. They were respectful and supportive of one another, which reflects a healthy work atmosphere. From start to finish, I could not be happier with the way ALL the professionals at Air Pro handled my situation. Would I do repeat business with Air Pro--you bet! read more

My first and only call foe all my a/c and heating issues. They have gone the extra mile many times foe me.

I had these guys come out last year to fix my AC after it started blowing hot & they replaced the compressor after thinking that was the problem. 11 months later & my AC is blowing hot again. I've put in 3 calls now for a callback to have someone help us out but no one has yet to respond. I put in a call last evening, this morning & again around noon. I think that's more than enough time to allow for a callback. My wife & I stayed in a hotel last night & will be again tonight because our house temp now reads at 94 degrees. Why have an "emergency" line number if your staff blows off calling customers back? That is the worst, to operate a business & not have the respect of at least calling back to talk or arrange for an appointment. I don't like being kept in limbo, especially about not being able to be in my own home. It makes me suspicious of the work they performed a little less than a year ago & pending their response (still waiting for that response) this incident may need to be reported to proper establishments beyond just this Yelp review... read more

My sons live in our condo while going to UT Austin. We live out of town. Our condo AC went down on Thursday, so I called the handyman who fixed up our place when we bought it last year. He recommended a good, inexpensive AC guy. We came up to Austin on Friday for a son's graduation so I made an appointment for AC guy to come Saturday AM. On Friday PM, my other son gives me condo HOA rules. I have to get AC guy's certificate of insurance faxed to condo Management or use an AC company with Cert of Insurance on file with them. My cheap AC guy may be good, but has no insurance. List of AC companies on file with Management have terrible or non-existent reviews on Yelp, Citysearch, Google, Yahoo, etc., except Air Pro, but the latest of which was back in 2009. Being a weekend, "highly-rated" AC shops had on call techs, but no access to cert of insurance. I called "no choice" Air Pro and Steve returned my call in minutes. He updated me on where he was and how long it would take for him to come to our aid. He later called the condo manager and was given the access code to the roof AC. He checked the thermostat and blower unit in the condo which were new and in good working order. He checked the roof AC and found a blown capacitor and replaced it. He told me how much it would cost before doing the job. $191.90 for my comfort, peace of mind, and no delayed summer break for my sons to wait for Monday for another AC guy. I don't know what a good price is for that job, but I was happy to pay it. I don't usually write reviews, this is my first one, but we all need to honestly share our experiences.
