ABC came out earlier to run a rooter down a slow moving toilet. I have learned from before that when it starts flushing slowly act now. They were here quickly and the service was great! read more

There's this thing in boxing where a fighter will avoid a fight by pricing themselves out of it. Instead of declining the challenge, they will ask for an exorbitant amount of money and move on when negotiations inevitably fall through. Three years ago, I had an American Standard unit installed to replace an old unit. One Friday in September, it started clanking and shaking the house. The blower wheel came apart, and the blower motor went out. As this was clearly under warranty, the outcome was expected: the warranty would cover parts, and I would pay for labor. The technician promptly showed up and disassembled within 20 minutes. The diagnosis was straightforward, as the damage was visible. The price for labor? $1150. Went to Yelp for bids, and they all (7 in total) came in in the range of $275-$600. I went with a company right in the middle ($450) as their communication and availability inspired the most confidence. Several other reviews here will corroborate that warranty work is not a strong suit. I cannot give one star as the installation three years ago went really smoothly, and the technicians they have sent out are punctual, competent, and friendly. To their credit, they drove back the same day to drop off the damaged parts so I could have the work done by someone else. I was charged the $99 diag fee - which is fair as nobody should work for free. This wasn't very reassuring, as we make a conscious effort to support local, minority-owned businesses. read more

I first contacted ABC Austin on May 28 for replacing some drain pans and float switches on the units in my attic. I received their quote and gave them the go ahead and signed their contract on June 2. Now more than 1 month later, the job has not been done. The final straw was a 7am appointment set for yesterday that they failed to show up for even though I have a text message confirming the date. Over the last month, I have left many voice messages, text messages, and spoke in person with Omar where his follow up has been almost non-existent. I give them 2 stars because their quote price was fair, but please stay away from this company unless you want to waste a lot of time all for nothing. read more

Omar and his team were so wonderful to work with! Our a/c coil had a massive leak and the unit completely stopped working. They were super responsive, made us a priority, worked with the warranty department to get us a replacement coil asap, and were super efficient installing the new part (and ours was a complex setup). They even made sure to cover all surrounding areas with a drop cloth to keep our floors clean. They showed us the old coil (and the oil that leaked out) and the new coil to explain how it was built differently (therefore less prone to leaking) to educate us. We will definitely use them again for our second unit. I highly recommend ABC Austin Service Express! read more

This company provides absolutely terrible customer service. They were a no show TWICE for us this week during the heat of the Texas summer. It's been 100+ degrees all week, and we were frantically looking for an AC repair company when our unit stopped cooling. We scheduled with ABC this past Sunday, and they didn't show. I had to follow-up with them to get a reschedule today but again no show and the receptionist is ignoring my texts. I'm attaching texts with this business's listed contact number as proof of their no show and no follow-up. It's almost two hours after our scheduled appmnt today, and I haven't heard back. Again this is after I had to reach out to them to reschedule after their first no show. Clearly, customer service is an issue for them now that I'm reading other reviews. I should have taken the time to read the reviews more thoroughly before wasting my time. read more

ABC Austin Service Express - Communication with receptionist - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Austin, Texas

I had an appointment to have a HVAC system (not their install) reviewed with a camera, we are having dust issues. They did not show up on the appointment date, when I called back to reschedule I was disconnected or hung up on and never got a return call. I called a week later and was told that they just don't have time right now to come out - they are too busy with new system installs. I don't know how their services is once onsite but my experience wasn't great trying to get to that point. read more

Last night our A/C gave out on us and after calling literally more than 20 places and getting high quotes just to come check out the A/C unit or given dates later this week for appointments even as an Emergency, because "everyone" was having issues. I called ABC Austin Service Express from yet another google search... LET ME TELL YOU!! Yes YOU reading this, IT IS BY FAR THE BEST SERVICE & BEST PRICE. I called this morning and Jessica was very responsive from the start. She provided ETA by text constantly. When Juan Pablo arrived he was such a friendly person and very informative when we would ask questions. I Would 10000% recommend that you stop looking and call ABC Austin Service Express. We had an emergency plumbing situation on Sunday, and ABC Austin Service Express not only failed to help us at all, but actually made the situation worse. The plumbing connected to our dishwasher malfunctioned and started to flood our kitchen. We called ABC to see if they could come out to help (as our kitchen was still flooding, since the line to turn off water to our house was also not functioning), and the receptionist told us they could definitely help out and she would send a message to the plumber on call. Thinking that someone would be on the way to help us, we wasted precious minutes waiting for the plumber to call us back. He did, about 15 minutes later, and said he had concluded from what the receptionist told him that it was a dishwasher issue and that he couldn't help us at all. Are you kidding me? How could he even tell from the short description the receptionist gave him what was even wrong with the plumbing? We then had to start frantically calling other places because ABC left us in the lurch. The receptionist and weekend plumber need to be retrained with how to deal with emergency situations. Just tell people when they initially call that you can't help. Their website says they handle "emergency situations," but trust me, they don't. read more

Find another company to work that won't mess around... I usually don't give out bad service reviews, but the customer service experience I've had with ABC Austin Service Is one of the worst ever and others need to be warned. They scheduled with me and no showed twice. I re-arranged my schedule to work from home to accommodate them and they no showed! To top it off, they wouldn't even answer their phone or respond to text messages the entire day as I tried to find out when they would arrive. read more

Omar came out within 2hrs of my ac breaking down. Him and his crew are polite, friendly and most of all professional. I had two AC/Heat units replaced December 2021. One unit was making noise and had a foul odor. They would come out after several complaints but kept claiming nothing was wrong. After months of complaints they finally replaced a compressor. Also I found out they never inspected or took care of duct work after I spent thousands of dollars on the new systems. There is so much more to this story. But, hopefully this is enough of a warning. Our family has been breathing bad air for a year. Which could have been easily addressed the first time they came out. Right now we have not been able to heat or cool part of the house for over a week. We were waiting on Omar to fix the issue. But we were ghosted for days. When Omar quit answering texts we decided we are better off paying more to switch companies. Even though we are under warranty. I don't want anything to do with ABC. Hope this helps someone who was thinking about hiring them. read more

Wonderful experience! Our ancient AC unit stopped working last Saturday morning and ABC Austin Service Express had it replaced within 24 hours. They were super fast to respond to my quote request and all communication was clear and uncomplicated. Stop all your research and choose ABC Austin Service Express (ABC) today! No need to look no further for an awesome Heating and Cooling company! I live in California and have a rental home in Leander, Texas. My tenants advised the 17 plus year old heat pump was no longer cooling efficiently. After replacing the indoor coil twice already, it was apparent I needed a new system. After conducting extensive research, I decided to install an American Standard heat pump which Consumer Reports rates the highest for customer satisfaction and reliability. I found ABC on American Standard's website and observed they had the highest FIVE STAR Google reviews, are NATE Certified, and are designated a Comfort Care Dealer for American Standard. Omar, the owner, took my call and answered ALL my questions. All my preliminary research strongly emphasized that choosing a professionally trained NATE Certified installer was the MOST important determinator of reliability and life of any HVAC system. Omar walked me through every detail of his installation practices, including the after-installation Quality Assurance inspection his team performs one week after the initial install to make sure the unit is operating within manufacture specifications! Omar helped me decide on the heat pump model and indoor air handler, and I signed an online contract with ABC on Friday night, and Omar's team installed the brand new system on Saturday morning! In fact, while his highly trained team were installing my unit, Omar advised he needed to leave the country for a few short days, but would be available by text, email, phone. As promised, Omar took time to answer my ALL my texts, calls, and e-mails through the entire weekend even though he was on a short break with his family! Omar literally rolled out the Red Carpet for me from the moment he answered my call on Friday afternoon, through installation on Saturday, and afterwards! Therefore, I can confidently say, STOP all your research and hire ABC today! read more

ABC Austin Service Express - Old Faithful since 1999. Retired: Saturday, 2018. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Austin, Texas

Omar and his crew at ABC Austin Service Express were top-notch!. If could give them ten stars I would. Right in the middle of a hot July summer day, our airconditioning unit in our commerce space decides it has had enough and stops working. We called our regular AC maintenance company to have them take a look at it and see what was wrong with it. After looking at it, the Technician that came out said we needed a whole new unit and just kept on insisting we just needed an entirely new AC system. He did not take the time to educated us as to why he came up this that conclusion; his explanation sounded very fishy, not very convincing. So, we decided to look for a second opinion. So this is how we got in contact with Omar. He had his Tech out the next morning. Omar shows up a little later and gives us a very detailed assessment of the situation and made us feel comfortable with the diagnostics. Indeed we needed a new system, and it was delivered the next morning if I could resume it into three words, FRIENDLY, PROMPT, and CLEAN. I will not hessite a second to recommend ABC Austin Service Express to any seeking an excellent AC service company. read more

I bought my house last year and unfortunately my AC died right after I bought it, I had $0 money to take care of this issue, Omar offer me financing and within 5 minutes I was approved, he was a life saver considering my situation, they replaced the whole system and I haven't had an issue ever since. I used to pay up to $300 a month or more in electricity, I pay as low as $140 a month after I got my new system, Thank you Omar for the great service. read more

Had an emergency AC issue at my rental property, they came out the same day to address the issue. The staff does their job, communicates well, does what they say they are going to do, you have to appreciate that. Oddly, a week later the AC stopped working again, I called Omar and they came out the same day AGAIN to see what the issue was. Turned out there wasn't an issue, he believes while he was running his diagnostics he may have wiggled the right wire or fuse because it started working again when he turned it back on. The best part is, he didn't charge me anything for the second service call. He's smart because now I am going to call them whenever I need anything and also refer them because of their good business practices and service. read more

Charles V is the best HVAC tech I've had out to the house. Not only did he call ahead, but was prompt and in fact a bit early, which was extremely convenient to my schedule. Omar pulled over while driving to take my call! Right off the bat I thought that was pretty amazing. I was interested in having the air ducts in a home professionally cleaned. He explained the entire process in detail, the equipment that would be used and the how and why of it as well as the all natural anti-microbial treatment they use. He was friendly and professional. The cost was higher than I expected but after talking to multiple companies, I was confident that he would get the job done right and that he knew what he was doing. He worked me in for the following day. Juan Carlos came out to do the job and he was fantastic. Oh yeah, I also had the dryer vent cleaned. He was prompt, pleasant and efficient. He also cleaned up well after he was finished. I would not hesitate to call Omar/ABC Express back out for any of the services they provide. read more

Crazy Story -- My neighbor across the street had a leaking evaporator coil. The neighbor next to me had their AC serviced two days ago and on the same night my AC system was acting up. Thermostat was reading 74 but inside the temp was rising to 76+ and the unit was continuously running for several hours. I immediately called a company for an AC check. The first company found that I, too, had a faulty evaporator coil (manufacture defect) and they quoted me an obscene amount of money to fix it, along with the diagnostic fee I already paid. I would have to wait several days for repairs - on to plan B... I contacted ABC Austin Service Express through text (Bella!) and not only was I quoted a fair price for the repair, they could come to my house the next day. Although the timing was a little off (scheduled between 8-10am but got to me around noon), I'm very pleased with my service and price. Omar is incredibly respectful, wanted to answer any questions I may have had, and insured that I was in good hands before the crew left. You want fast, exceptional service? I am so glad I called ABC Austin Service Express when my AC went out. I had a feeling of dread because I had problems with the system in the past and my experiences with other service providers were not positive. Home maintenance problems always make me nervous. It is hard to know who to trust. Omar arrived about thirty minutes after I called on a Saturday evening. His courteous, friendly demeanor immediately put me at ease. I watched as he diagnosed the problem. He explained everything to me in such a way that when it came time for the bad news, I could face it without getting stressed out. My whole system needed to be replaced. I never once felt pressured when selecting the new units, and all of my questions were answered thoroughly. He did not try to "up-sell" me anything. The prices were very reasonable. He and his crew arrived the next morning at 9 and had everything up and running, along with all the ductwork cleaned by noon. The financing and warranties are great. Omar gave me lots of helpful tips on how to keep everything running smoothly. I need not worry about AC problems any longer! I highly recommend this company! I had a new AC coil & condenser installed back in May this year by another HVAC technician (Jaime Rivas who lives in Buda) who was recommended to me by a friend. When I asked for an invoice/receipt Jaime said his wife was going to mail it to me. I called him a week later b/c I had not received my receipt. He made up an excuse and said he will send it soon. 2 weeks went by and still no receipt. I call him and he did not pick up and did not return my call. 4 months later my AC stopped working but I did not want to call Jaime Rivas even though he said his work came with 1 year warranty. I did not trust the guy anymore and did not want to use him ever again. I decided to call ABC Austin Service Express. Omar (the owner) came to my house but was not able to diagnose the issue b/c my condenser was frozen. He told me to turn off the AC and let the fan run to allow it to defrost. Hours later it defrosted so ABC sent another technician (Luis) out to diagnosis the issue. Unfortunately it started raining so he wasn't able to do a complete diagnosis and the coil was still frozen. He suspected that the coil was leaking freon and he found low pressures. I scheduled another appointment 3 days later and another technician came out (Frank) and was able to run a complete diagnositic and confirmed that the leak was coming from my coil and the pressures were low. I had lost 3.5 lbs of freon which normally takes years to lose that much freon on a proper functioning unit. The original guy I hired (Jaime Rivas) who does not work for ABC Austin Service Express did a shitty ass job installing my unit. My friend who recommended him had 2 AC units installed by him and both of the coils ended up breaking down like mine. I was so furious so I reported him to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). It turns out the guy was unlicensed so now an attorney will be giving him a fine for doing unlicensed work. Anyways, Frank who works for ABC Austin Service Express installed a new coil and he did an amazing job! He took his time and took a lot longer than Jaime did when he installed the coil and the condenser back in May. Frank's job was much cleaner as well! It's been 2 weeks since my AC has been fixed by Frank and it has been cooling much better than it did before. Recently the weather drastically became cold so I had to use my heater. Unfortunately it wouldn't turn on so I was worried that now I had to replace my furnace. I contacted Frank and he walked me through a few things and it turned out to be the gas valve was shut off (I suspect Jaime Rivas did this so he could get me to replace my furnace). Frank saved me a service call which I appreciate since I've spent so much money dealing with this situation. Frank as well as Omar & Luis were very courteous, honest, and gave great customer service! From now on I will be using only ABC Austin Service Express and I highly recommend them! read more

I don't know why this company doesn't appear on page one of HVAC searches because they are truly fantastic!! They were one of 3 companies we sought quotes from and even though they weren't the cheapest, they were the most knowledgeable. Our old HVAC unit was creating mold because it was too large for our house. ABC referred me to another company to do a heat load capacity test so that we purchased the right size unit for our home. We did this and then hired them to install the unit. They pointed out inefficiencies and made corrections where needed to give us the most comfortable living environment. While they were installing, we asked them to add a duct cleaning to the order and Omar leveled with us, telling us that it wouldn't improve the air quality because the mold was trapped in the ducts; he showed us some examples of how bad our situation really was. We decided to replace the ducts too. I can't put a price on our family's safety and how happy we are knowing we are breathing clean air. We will definitely continue to use them for all of our HVAC needs. read more
