Michael and his team did an amazing job! We recently had all of our siding replaced on our 30+ year old house that still had it's original siding. They were upfront with pricing, easy to work with, and extremely professional. His contractors were thorough and efficient - completing the job ahead of schedule. Most of all, I liked that Genuine Texas Exteriors doesn't line item every little thing and drive the cost up - they included everything you needed to have a watertight, good looking home. read more

I highly recommend Genuine Texas Exteriors for your roofing project. Sam and Michael were clear and communicative and helpful in explaining the options that made the most sense for my house. They did a full roof replacement and I appreciate the level of quality and quick work from the crew. I got photos of each step along the way showing the work completed and the related warranty documents at the end. I had gotten a handful of quotes from roofers and GTE was the most professional and comfortable to work with - I'm really glad I chose them. read more

I had my home siding replaced and painted and a nice new cedar porch built. They did an excellent job on the projects. It looks beautiful and they let me work with them on specific porch details we flushed out along the way... which was key for me. I also liked the recommended change they made to the to the roof line to make the pitch in the middle rather than a lean to porch style. Michael seemed open, honest and detailed from the start and they were the only company that offered full payment at the end of the project completion which was big for me. Great crew to work with as well. Also appreciated the level of details Michael went into for the siding and painting process. That gave them the upper hand when looking at several companies out there. The pics will speak to the work :) read more

We found GTE through a Nextdoor recommendation. So glad we did! They came in at a much more reasonable price point than the 1st company we called for an estimate. The work looks great and was done very timely. Sam the PM was excellent with communication and thouroghness throughout the whole process. Highly recommend! read more

Genuinely had an amazing experience with Michael and his team at Genuine Texas Exterior. For this large of an expense, I shopped 4 different companies. Out of the 4, Genuine stood above the rest in the first meeting. No bs, no pitch, just asked me what I wanted and we talked about the process. The biggest thing for me personally was being Michael telling me without being asked that they would take care of any parts of the house that needed to be replaced.. no gotcha charges. Truly appreciate the Genuine care and the professionalism. 100% recommend read more

I met with Michael (owner) prior to starting our roof replacement. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He walked me through all of the steps and did not pressure us into anything. We evaluated multiple other roofing companies but their prices were 10% higher on average than Genuine Texas Exteriors. I felt confident with Michael so we decided to move forward. The only hesitation was that we have solar panels and they contract out the solar panel removal and reinstallation. Pros: Competitive pricing Quick installation (roughly 2 weeks to start the job) Friendly service The roof looks great and seems to be done well. No leaks so far that we can tell and it's been about 6 months. Cons: The outsourced solar panel company damaged one of our gutters. Michael did compensate us for the damage but only after I brought it up and asked for a resolution. The clean up was not as thorough as expected. We continue to find roofing nails in our backyard. Highly recommend doing multiple sweeps after they leave if you have dogs. Michael used spray paint on the metal flashing to make it blend with the shingles. Unfortunately he did not tape off the area and so he got black spray paint on the stucco of our light yellow/orange house. Overall the roofing work seems to be done competently and for a reasonable price. read more

We just had our old, asphalt roof replaced by Genuine Texas Exteriors. We picked them because of all their positive reviews and we are really happy that we did. If we could give them six stars, we would. This company is a no-nonsense, well-oiled machine. Excellent quality materials and workmanship, clear and prompt communication, very fast, one-day install on a 1600 sq ft. house, excellent cleanup and final inspection by Mike, the owner. We recommend GTE 100% read more

Super happy with our new roof. Great price. Great product. Great service. Mike, the owner of the company, was very helpful and knowledgeable. The product he uses is made from recycled materials, which was a big plus for me. And his crew was awesome. Highly recommend this company. read more

I was very happy with my experience with Genuine Texas Exteriors. They were clear, quick to respond, fairly priced, and got the job done. They replaced a door and some glass panels, and were quick to resolve a small issue at the end. I definitely plan to call them again next time! read more

From first communications to finished job, it was a pleasure working with Michael, owner of Genuine Texas Exteriors. I needed a new roof on the house I just bought. I'm a first time home owner and I had a lot of questions. Michael thoroughly and patiently answered all of them, explained the detailed benefits of the types of shingles they work with, and was never pushy. He also took the time to share his knowledge around what fair contracts should look like and what to look out for. I very much appreciated that the amount quoted was not going to change after the contract was signed and I didn't pay a penny until the work was completed. Clear communication and attention to detail are both very important to me and I appreciate that this business does both. With the solid workmanship warranty they provide and competitive pricing (I shopped a few different quotes) it was a no brainer. Highly recommend! read more

We worked with Michael and Genuine Texas Exteriors for our full roof replacement and couldn't be happier with the process and final product. Michael came the day after we had major roof damage and was quick to provide an initial quote, and even came back to accompany the insurance adjuster when they examined the damage for our insurance claim. Michael was always thorough and detailed when explaining every step of the process and made us feel comfortable throughout. He was very knowledgeable about his company's products and the homeowners insurance process. His team was also efficient, tidy, and respectful on the day of the install. Highly recommend Genuine Texas Exteriors for any roof needs! read more

Our experience with Genuine Texas Exteriors was amazing! Michael and Samantha were courteous and professional and made the process super easy. They were available and easy to reach throughout the entire process. Carlos and his crew were stellar. I like that Michael only works with Carlos, so no wondering who your roof work may get contracted to. I can't say enough good things about Michael, Samantha, Carlos, and the crew. They're the best! read more

Outstanding from proposal to final cleanup. Michael's proposal was not only the most thorough of the ones I received, but also the lowest cost for equal or better product. Michael was able to quickly schedule his install team, so I wasn't waiting weeks like a few of my neighbors for the install to begin. His team showed up early morning and twelve hours later I had a marvelous looking new roof. Before they left for the day, they picked up every bit of trash and scrap, ran magnets around the house to ensure no nails were left behind, and blew all bits of remaining dirt and dust from my patio and front porch, leaving my property cleaner than before. Michael's professionalism, use of technology throughout the process, and the strong work ethic of his install team left me nothing but completely satisfied with Genuine Texas Exteriors. Thanks! read more

Very responsive customer service both before and after the project. One error, fixed immediately and one paint stain on the sidewalk cleaned and pressure washed by Michael himself.. Extremely good value on the new roof, which I enjoy looking back at whenever I walk away from the house, with peace of mind going into the next severe weather season. From my perspective this company is on a mission to do better in service and value than the big-chain remodeling company they left to start this one. I wish them all the success going forward. read more

Great company and Michael was the best to work with....professional, courteous, knowledgeable and willing to explain every step of the process. He also kept me updated on the job as it progressed. The crew did an exceptional job protecting my landscaping, completed the job in a very timely manner and made sure my yard was completely rid of all debris. Couldn't be happier with Michael, the company, my new roof....all at a great price! Thanks, Michael! Donna Clark read more

Overall great experience working with the Genuine Texas Exteriors team. The owner is very personable and does right by his customers, which is not always the case when working with contractors. I had received three different quotes for a new roof. Genuine Texas Exteriors was very fast in their response, but also thorough taking the time to explain the project, and why they are unique in their offering. One group I got a quote from literally spoke to me for two seconds and I did not get a sense they were serious about working with me or understanding my needs. Roofs in Texas need to be able to withstand a lot and some of the practices like putting in a ridge vent aren't for me, Michael, the owner, listened to my concerns and worked with me to make this make sense for my budget while, I believe, providing a superior product and set up. I'm very happy with the work that was done and really appreciate how thorough they were in their cleanup of the job site. I also really like that Michael knows the team coming to install the roof so anything that needs to be relayed can be done easily. The foreman was also very respectful and communicative. read more

My Brother in Law had his roof replaced in October of 2023. He used Genuine Texas Exteriors and had an exceptional experience with them. So, when I needed my roof replaced in 2024 I asked him for his recommendation. So glad I did. By using Genuine Texas Exteriors I was able to save time in vetting and sitting through long lengthy sale pitches with other companies. My 5 star review is based on the following: 1) Integrity. The product, quality and craftsmanship they advertise was exactly what they delivered. Everything they told me that would be done and the time frame that it would be done in was accomplished. 2) Communication. Samantha Cochrane, my Project Coordinator, asked me questions and listened to what I wanted to get accomplished with the roof. She also communicated with me every step of the way what was coming next and what needed to be done next. 3) Quality. Genuine Texas Exteriors, being an certified installer for Malarkey Roofing Group, I was able to get a quality product with a lot of additional upgrades for free. 4) Installation. Approximately 3200 square feet of roof surface, that also had many variations of pitch, was completed in one day. The crew was very friendly, very efficient and very concerned with making sure they left the property better than when they came. While walking the perimeter for their cleanup they also took extra time to blow off the leaves from my back porch and make sure my driveway was taken care of also. In the following days after installation I did not find a single nail or any scrap pieces of roofing material. 5) Professionalism. Through every step of the journey all employees of Genuine Texas Exteriors showed pride in craftsmanship and professionalism. For all the above reasons, I highly recommend Genuine Texas Exteriors to any homeowner within the Central Texas Corridor for any Roofing/Siding/Window/Gutter needs they have. read more

Wonderfully professional and informative from the very beginning. Michael advised us on many things, even before we had chosen his company to do our new siding. We were very impressed with how quick and how kind their crews were. The siding and painting took less time than we were quoted and we couldn't be happier with our new siding and paint! Highly recommend and can't say enough nice things about Michael and his crews!! read more

I worked with Genuine Texas Exteriors for a siding, trim, and paint project. From the start I appreciated the transparency and clarity from Michael (owner) and office team (Sam). The price was very competitive and the layout of the bid was very clear (pictures of my home with boxes around the areas where work is being performed, paint details, etc). The paint color match was perfect and the paint team did a great job. Very clean lines around my trim. The siding was square/straight/flush. They have a policy/guarantee to fix any unknown rotted framing that comes up during the project. Defintely ask about it. It gave me peace of mind and I haven't seen any other company include this in their bid. The onsite team was organized, quick (just a couple days for the full job), and cleaned up at the end of each day. read more

We used Genuine Texas Exteriors to repair roof damage due to a big hail storm. They were terrific! Responsive, fast, flexible, on-time, in-budget, careful and cheerful. Genuine did a terrific job on our re-roof project. They were quick with their bid and responsive all along the process. We had a small problem develop (unrelated to their work) and Sam went above and beyond to help us get it resolved, so the project could be completed on time. Their pricing was very competitive too. I will use them again, if the need arises! read more
