A family member called him to inquire about new work to see if he was in the business of ghosting everyone. He answered within 10 minutes. When she told him the real reason he was calling he made up an excuse that he was not in his office (he doesn't have an office, check his address on Google maps) and that he would call back the next day. Nothing, completely ghosted. Look for someone else as times are tough right now and people might be hard up for money to start pulling scam deals like this.
