I have nothing but good things to say about HD Roofing And Repairs, in particular Michael Partain who oversaw our project from start to finish. We were hit with hail on May 28th, 2025. We didn't notice any problem until after all the rain over the 4th of July when we noticed two water spots on our ceiling. We worked with Michael to do a "tune up" on our roof about 2 years ago, so I called him and he came out and inspected our roof. He provided me with two PDFs, one with photos of hail damage to our house and one containing weather details of hail impact in our area. Armed with his documentation I filed a claim with my insurance. Michael was present for the inspection by the insurance adjuster and we were approved on the spot for a new roof. I believe Michaels documentation and presence for the inspection worked in our favor, we went in with our guns loaded. Our project involved 1) exterior repair and painting 2) new roof 3) interior ceiling repair and painting. We had trim and siding that was rotted or damaged by critters, including the chimney which was the source of our leaks. Exterior repairs were made and the house painted. Then the roof was replaced. Finally the water spots were cut out of the ceiling, insulation fell through and was removed, sheetrock replaced and painted, and new insulation brought in to replace the old. The ceiling repairs were important to us because we were concerned about mold. The whole project was completed within about a month of the insurance inspection and claim approval. Michael was involved throughout the entire process. He patiently answered my questions, we made a few tweaks along the way, and he made sure work was done correctly. I couldn't be happier with the result. It was a pleasure working with him and I have great peace of mind knowing that the job was done right. But what stood out was the way Michael called and emailed me to check on any questions or concerns. A crew of 8 came out to do the work on the day we'd agreed to. My roof is over 5,000 square feet so it took 2 days, and the men worked 8am til dark. It was done in two days and they swept for nails three times around the yard. I'll start by saying I am 70 years old. I've had many contractors work on my house and in my house. In this specific case, I was getting a new roof installed (hail damage) using my insurance. Hayden came to my home to survey the roof, etc. so he would file a claim with our insurance. Because of the damage to our roof, there was also a leak that messed up the ceiling in our kitchen. Hayden took it upon himself to patch the leak on the roof so there would be no more interior damage, if it rained. He also worked with an outside company (Susan) to get the insurance to pay everything necessary so in the long run, I saved $3400 off my $6000 deductible. Then his crew (at least 10 men) shows up under the supervision of Adreas and they were so polite and did an amazing job. When replacing a roof, there is so much mess created by tearing off shingles and paper and nails, etc. By the time they finished the roof (in 1 day), my yard, decks, driveway were back to normal as if nothing had happened. And Jose and Miquel were responsible for fixing the couple problems inside the house (leak, seam separation, painting) and when they finished, those areas looked brand new and paint matched our paint perfectly. And I couldn't finish this review without saying that Hayden stayed on top of everything and kept in contract with me throughout the whole process. If I could, I would give then a 10. I highly recommend HD Roofing. I'll definitely be calling them for any future repairs. We had water leaking into our home from the chimney flashing and needed to get it fixed before the next winter storm. I called HD Roofing & Repairs and Hayden came out, inspected the roof, and quickly identified the problem and checked for any other water damage. He took pictures, explained that the original builder hadn't properly installed the flashing, and how it needed to be installed to correctly channel water. He and his crew did a great job on the repairs, installing the flashing as it should have been to ensure that it will hold up in harsh weather, and then thoroughly tested it--and he was even able to fix our gutters that had detached from the house without needing expensive replacements. With Austin's building boom it can be difficult to get most companies to come out and provide an estimate for small repairs, but HD Roofing was night and day different from everyone else I've called. He quoted me $150 for the few shingles that were damaged. After peeling the surrounding shingles off he discovered they were too brittle to put back and had to replace the entire roof. He may be a great roofer, but there's a definite lack of customer service here. I called after the hail storms in May to see if he'd come out and assess the damage. "Absolutely," he said. "We'll be out this week to look it over and I'll call you next week with a report." Three weeks later I still hadn't heard from him, so I called again. "So sorry, I forgot to put you on our roster! We'll be out tomorrow." "Tomorrow"s report showed definitive signs of hail damage and included his confidence that our insurance would cover the damage repairs/replacement if we filed a claim. He even said he would be happy to talk to insurance for us and point out the signs of damage if their findings were different from his. So we filed a claim. Big mistake. The adjuster found no hail-related damage. So I called HD and let him know that now was the time to call insurance. His response? "Sorry to hear about the insurance adjuster findings." I've emailed twice asking for help with insurance or at least a more detailed report of his findings that I could use to haggle, with no response. Don't stand by their warranty even 3 months after installation and never sent documentation. Nasty people to deal with once you have a problem. Have more leaks now than after the storm that supposedly cause the roof to need replacing. Unresponsive and care free once you have any sort of problem. I had a plumber install a tankless hot water heater that required some new venting to be installed through my tiled roof. The timing of the work was critical because of all the rain we have been experiencing in the past weeks - I didn't want the plumber to install the vent pipes, and wait for a roofer to seal everything up. Dora and Don were extremely patient with us, and we scheduled/rescheduled week after week. Finally, with a break in the weather and a few days notice, HD Roofing came in the late afternoon of the day of the water heater install. The plumbers and roofer worked together and it was done quickly and with perfect timing.
