We contacted Austin Pro Siding as part of a comprehensive siding replacement project, as our fiberboard siding was end-of-life and starting to really have problems that would have only gotten worse. Along the way, we also discovered that we needed to have the roof replaced, and so put that in the mix for a bid as well. We contacted six different companies, each of which brought a particular set of strengths and challenges. We chose Austin Pro based on a combination of factors: personalized attention to our project, comprehensive estimate and explanation of each line item, and ability to get the project done on a timeline that worked for us. We chose to have the house re-sided with Hardie Plank, painted with Sherwin-Williams paint, and re-shingled the roof with GAF shingles. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the process of basically re-doing the entire house, especially when insurance companies come into play. To that end, everyone at Austin Pro was first rate. Before we even settled on a contractor, Paul, our project manager, walked me through the intricacies of the process, and spent probably more time than he wanted explaining how things would go, and what options we had. The bid was competitive, and the line-by-line items on the original bid made it easy to see what was going to be done, and what materials were going to be used. He was patient and courteous and flexible, and was also able to speak to us in a way that didn't make things even more confusing. Kevin was the siding project lead, and though we never met in person, I felt comfortable that he had our best interests at heart as he got the crew on site, working fast and efficiently to remove and replace the siding. He even called in the middle of the siding job to tell us that we didn't need something we thought we would, saving us money that we could then use for add-ons we didn't originally budget for. The siding install and siding paint was done beyond our initial expectations, with nice touches like window framing and utility box framing that I didn't even know we needed but now look perfect. We had the back door repainted as well as our front balcony and pillars, and the end result is fantastic. It really was done to the point where it looks like a brand new house, and not one built in the early 1990s. Paul was back on site for the roofing job, and the roofers did a great job removing and replacing the shingles and skylight with new materials, on a roof that is exceptionally steep and challenging. They had the entire project done in only two days, and it looks fantastic. Finally, Garrett came by to do the final walk-through and punch list check-off, and was a real pleasure to interact with. He fulfilled all the items on the list, at least the ones he could do on his own, and did so in a friendly, courteous, and extremely efficient manner. All in all, Austin Pro lived up to their name and to their reputation. It is possible to find a company that can do your big jobs for less, but I am not sure you could find one that could do it better. They stand by their work with a quality assurance guarantee, and while I don't intend to need it, it's great that it's there. read more

My siding has been in bad shape for forever and I have been wanting to replace it for a long time but haven't had the means. Recently a raccoon was able to penetrate an attic and cause havoc and that was the final straw. (That, and our youngest is just now out of daycare, so a little/lot more disposable income has been made available.) Anyway, that sob story aside, a couple of years ago, on my daily dog walk, I saw a house in the neighborhood getting its siding replaced by Austin Pro Siding and when it was done, it was gorgeous. I talked to the owner about it when passing one day and he had very kind words about the company, so I took a picture of the sign in his yard and filed it away in my wish list. I saw another neighbor with a beautifully done house by Austin Pro Siding not too long after which reinforced my desire to get this done. Fast forward to now in 2023 after I have been finally able to make the leap and get it done. I've had the same thing happen with complete strangers yelling across the street while walking their dog "Hey, your house looks amazing by the way." A guy even rang the door to ask me about specifics one day (and this was way before the project was complete.) The team is great. I contacted them via a web form, and I was contacted immediately and had Tracy, Company Owner, came out to meet me the next day. He is honest and there is no nonsense or any pressure to sign and quite the contrary - he works to try to cut down costs if that is what you are looking for (I was). He is a down-to-earth, personable man that I felt very comfortable talking to. He gave me an itemized quote very quickly and the final price did not change other than getting a couple of items we didn't end up getting deducted. (Incidentally, Kevin, the Operations Manager, added an item when the project started that he said would cost a couple of hundred dollars, but he wouldn't charge for it and he didn't. I don't know what it was, but it was a type of backing board that made the mess behind all the boxes behind my electrical and solar equipment easier to manage.) On to Kevin, he was outstanding as well. He was a great communicator about the project as we approached the anticipated implementation. He told me what to expect, called and texted, and made sure to keep the channels of communication open throughout. One thing that I really appreciated about Kevin was his immense help with getting our colors picked out. We can't thank him enough for this. Our house really pops, and Kevin is a true expert here. He should have a reality show - he's that good. Last, but certainly not least are Miguel and the crew. These guys are badass. They are amazing craftsmen - I was so impressed. I had a beer with them all and took a picture and shook each of their hands when it was all done as this really felt (and feels like) getting a new house). Oh - I forgot about the painters. They did an amazing job as the pictures show. Oh, I forgot, James, who then did the "punch down" which is putting all the stuff back up (lights, switches, portable TVs, etc...) I already knew which windows I wanted (Anderson 100) so my real focus was on finding a reliable, trustworthy and local company. Austin Pro Siding hit all the marks both before and during the install. The ordering and quoting process was super easy and transparent. None of the sleezy sales pitches that are so common where they try and convince you that their glass is somehow different from the other glass even though they're coming from the same glass manufacturer. None of that with these guys. Patiently explained that they use their own crew, not subcontracted and talked about the importance of that for a consistent install. The day if the install was great. Stephen and crew were fantastic. Polite and working in some pretty crazy heat. Whenever decisions like trim came up they'd come find me but otherwise just got on with it. One of our home improvement projects was to get rid of the original single-pane aluminum (1980s) windows to our house and have them replaced with double-pane. We had been approached by several door-to-door salespeople and had gotten some pretty exorbitant quotes, but opted to instead ask for referrals from friends. The best review came from our friends who had used Austin Pro Siding and Windows. Our experience with APSW was overall very good. Our point-of-contact person, Patrick, was very friendly and competent. We went over all the products and he helped us narrow it down to our final choice based on budget and needs. He was also the one who scheduled everything and followed up. On the day of the installation, the crew came in and worked quickly and efficiently. Though we'd moved our furniture and removed blinds and curtains before they arrived, they had to move some of the heavier stuff since we couldn't manage it on our own, but they did this without complaint. About a week after the installation, I noticed a crack in the tempered glass for our small bathroom window, and notified Patrick about it. He apologized and had someone come out to replace it as soon as possible (though, due to the nature of custom-made glass, it took several weeks). We've noticed such a difference in our house after replacing the windows. I didn't realize how much outside noise got cut down with the double pane, how much cooler the rooms stayed in the summer and warmer in the winter. If I could give 10 stars I would. I should first say that I am super picky and hard to please.....especially when it comes to work done on my house. My expectations were exceeded. I used them for new siding, roof, gutters and exterior paint. I am planning to use them for an upcoming window replacement too. The owners, Tracy and Kevin are very hands on and they have had their teams for a long time. They are fast without sacrificing quality and have very fair pricing - I felt like my happiness was more important than dollars in their pocket. That is hard to find these days. They did not charge me a penny more than we agreed upon and they moved mountains to get our project finished despite terrible weather. I have used Austin Pro in the past and have no issues. I don't like to do this because I have used Austin Pro for years on both my house and on rental property. This is in regards to their service for warranty repair. I contacted Austin Pro in regards to rain gutters they installed after they replaced my roof. I have gutters that are not draining properly and filling with water and overflowing. I was told that they would have their gutter installer contact me and take a look at the issue. I hired this company after meeting with Kyle, their sales consultant. Kyle was friendly but not pushy, and brought samples of materials. The cost was reasonable. I had our entire house done with James Hardie siding and all new windows. Kyle utilized a Texas window company, and I do prefer supporting local businesses. The window and siding process was completed quickly and efficiently. We saw the siding guys working and they seemed happy with their job. Kevin and Paul, two of the owners, were very knowledgeable and quick to respond. We did have a bit of a delay in getting the project started, Kevin kept me updated and we were not in any rush anyway. Once the project started, I was amazed at how quickly they could complete an entire two-story home within a few days. Overall the entire project took about 2 weeks (windows, siding, painting, etc.) We basically have a new House! We saw the great job APS did on our neighbor's house. So we contacted them for a walkthrough and quote and they offered us a great deal and hard to turn down financing terms. And threw in a bunch of other repairs on top of it. We had our siding installed and house painted as well as some roof repair work done for our porch and replacement of some fascia and soffit. They also installed a new storm door and garage side entry door/jamb. They were great to work with. There are always some hiccups with any large project, but any issue was fixed/resolved promptly. I would recommend them to anyone needing siding, painting, roofing, doors, windows, etc. I would make a few recommendations to any homeowner considering taking on a big project like this. 1: Make sure you can be home during the install. Many questions come up and you or someone needs to be there to answer these to make sure it's done right. 2: Make sure you have at least 2-3 months to prepare, shop, and clean up around your house. Consider cable management, new power outlets, insulation, light fixtures for entry and security, doors, windows, etc. 3: Also important to create a to-do list of all installations and changes and review with the installation manager before the project begins and daily with the on-site supervisor to make sure expectations are set. It's a long and tedious process to get started, as well as very busy, long days while it's happening. The whole process start to finish for us took about 3 weeks (3-4 days for siding, 3 days for paint, and 2-3 more days for various fixes/touchups/final cutout items). But the results are tremendous. I had 5 patio doors installed by Austin Pro Siding & Windows in 2016. These guys were so close to getting a 5 star rating! Paul was helpful and responsive being the sales part of the business. I had specific requirements and helped me worked through the options, and even arranged for sample material for me to inspect. Where we had a bump in the execution, is the project manager didn't coordinate the alarm company coming out the same day to handle the connections in the door frame. I had specifically asked to make sure this was being coordinated, but they ended up trying to call the alarm service place the day before, and of course they can't just come out on 24 hours notice. So I had to have Austin Pro Siding come back after the install, remove wood trim on all the doors to re-wire the alarm connections to the door frames- this time I coordinated the two companies- and everything was then ok. I didn't even charge them a project manger fee :) So a word of advice to those of you putting in new windows or doors with a house alarm system- make sure everything is coordinated so it can all be installed and tested on the same day! We got 3 bids to replace 8 windows in our 1960s house. Austin Pro Siding had the lowest bid but only by a hundred less from Ringer Windows and $1000 less compared to Titan Windows. The main reason we chose Austin Pro Siding instead of Ringer was I liked the window latch slightly better even though Ringer had better screens and warranty. We went with the smaller installation team, which was really one guy, and he installed them over 4 days. They turned out nicely and the mess was well contained. It did take 11 weeks to get on the schedule after agreeing to the job so go with someone else if you're in a rush. read more

Took them 2 days to respond to an email inquiry and apparently they don't do "small jobs". If you need help soon, or if you aren't going to contract them to do a large scale project that's going to trigger a gigantic invoice, move on. Don't waste your time. Recommendation for owner: Update your website to indicate you only do "large scale jobs" and that you're so busy it may take 48+ hours for you to respond to an inquiry for assistance; so that people in the community who feel like you're a good vendor based on your stellar Yelp rating, aren't surprised when you take 2 days to tell them that their job is too small for you. It is certainly your right to refuse any scope or scale of work you want. But two days to respond to an email inquiry is really poor customer service. read more

We just had all the windows and the backdoor of our 28-year old home replaced by this company and are beyond satisfied with the material, labor and management of our replacement project. Retrofitting windows and doors to homes that were built not exactly on straight lines (like ours) is tough, but this crew was incredible. The entire crew was professional, respectful, efficient and responsive to each and every of the dozens of questions we had.
