We had a work shed we purchased from a prefab company that ended up leaking. We called Clear Choice for a quote to put a metal roof on top. They came out within 48 hours, quoted within 12 hours after that, and came by within another 72 hours to get it done. It was truly impressive. Especially when I had 4 other roofers come out, say they'll provide a quote, 3/4 of which never did, and 1 which did but never responded to a follow-up question. Before Clear Choice roofing I had a dry attic and good ventilation. No leaks. I just needed new shingles. With Clear Choice roofing they destroyed the ventilation system and said it wasn't needed with the new roof technology. With the new roof, I obtained mold. And I still have mold. And leaks. And it's still leaking. And now ghosting when I call. They don't call back. They did install some very small and inadequate passive vents in the roof. But I still have Clear Choice mold. And now there is water damage to the ceiling and wall below the attic where the roof leaks. And they still won't return my calls or fix the problem The choice is clear. I didn't even get to the point of an estimate. I set up an appointment to get an estimate and later got a text saying he needed to unload a truck at the office so it would be much later before he could be here. I understand things come up that require attention but unloading a truck isn't one. I rearranged my morning to get this estimate but my time isn't important. Clear Choice Roofing was recommended by a neighbor who was very satisfied with their work. I saw the roof and it looks very nice. Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience with them. Although they did respond quickly to my text messages, they have not followed through with anything they say. After claiming I needed to file a claim with insurance (without even looking at my roof) I trusted them and the insurance came back with a "covering only $700 of damage" response. I forwarded this to Clear Choice and they responded with, "this is laughably rude". Ever since then the only response I receive when I follow up is some form of: "I'll be sure to make it out this week". This has been going on for weeks and now I just need to move on and find a reputable contractor to perform the work. Last year, hail demolished my roof. When doing my research for replacement Clear Choice kept coming up as a highly rated and trusted company. I can confidently say those reviews were right. Clear Choice worked closely with my insurance so I had almost nothing to do, the roof is impeccably done and they even upgraded my house to accommodate new building codes. Upon doing my initial investigation into pursuing a new roof, I was given a handful of companies that yelp provided. Among them was Clear Choice. Our consult went well, and Clear Choice had something that I was seeking. Communication. and They were on top of it. Texting, phone calls, etc. Clear Choice was prompt, easy to work with, and provided ample proof that they actually looked on my roof. We moved on to the next step which was me actually sending in a claim to insurance. Our adjuster came out and agreed with Clear Choice on the visible damage. The paperwork came and the S.O.W was generated. --- That's when things got weird. The communication stopped. They had won our business, but we could no longer contact them . The calls, emails, texts all went silent. Then on a rainy afternoon, I received a text that work would start a week from (xx. xx)- Which was perfect. I looked again at the paperwork and noticed Clear Choice had mentioned that the gutters and downspouts had visible damage, but it was never reported to my insurance. A small oversight as I was honestly not worried, but then my insurance called and said the same thing. I gave my adjuster contact to my consult and the company to contact Clear choice, they called me repeatably stating they could not get anyone. Just have to count this one as a loss I guess. The week comes for the roof work. Per my conversation, the materials would be arriving a day before- "please don't park in your driveway"So we don't.... but it's 6 pm and the materials have not shown up. No worries, I'll call them. The phone is fast busy-- a number not in service is what I am getting. So I go to their website and see if there is a 2nd number- Sure enough there is. I dial it and I get an out of service with that as well. So - I submit a query " interested in a new roof" and sure enough, someone is calling me right away. I explain the situation about the materials not being here yet, and the response was " The day is not over yet" --- it's fucking dark by now people. Anyway- moving on. We leave to run errands and come back and it's all there. I guess she was right-- the day was not over yet lol . The roof goes on in a day. the workers were pro, quiet and clean. We have pushed and got 3 other people on my street working with them now. The reasons for not 5 stars: 1. Communication. The one thing that won their business for me - failed after they knew they got the $$. 2. Nails. I get it - nails drop. They did wonderful getting them all the lawn, but i am still 20-50 daily falling from gutters spouts 3. Gutters. These should have been replaced. CC never spoke to my adjuster( at least my insurance said they couldn't reach them. 4. Still waiting on other things. I have screens being replaced and Window Beading. I am told it will be this next week. Fingers crossed. 4 stars is still pretty solid. Overall I am pleased with my roof. read more

The name of the company says it all. I have not used them yet to replace my roof, but I will. I had a small leak recently after a very windy thunderstorm night. I was hoping it would be an easy fix thinking that the wind may have lifted up shingles or some such to let rain in. It did not leak on another rainy day while waiting for the inspection. Mike Ludlow is wonderful. Very personable and helpful. He called to let me know he was on the way today for our scheduled appointment, looked at the leak spot inside, and inspected the roof. The leak was right about where the gutters meet the house. He found much debris on top of my leaf guard in that area and cleaned it off. He inspected the whole roof and found extensive hail damage from the storm we had quite awhile back. I thought that might be the case, but I had not called the insurance company. He recommended I call them because they will replace the entire roof and any other damage they see such as to screens. I will definitely be calling Clear Choice and asking for Mike to be my roofing team leader when the time comes. The lady who answered the phone and scheduled me was friendly and great as well. My husband and I had just had an offer accepted on a property and needed a roof inspection done as soon as possible. I contacted Clear Choice Roofing on Wednesday morning and they were able to send an inspector out (who was on time) on Thursday afternoon. Mike (Michael) Ludlow was fantastic! He sent us notes that included an overview of the condition of the roof, the estimated remaining life of the roof, and an honest, reasonable assessment about any suboptimal conditions he found (with photos), along with a quote for the optional repairs. I have used Clear Choice for repairs in the past and had been very impressed with their customer service and the quality of the work. When it came time for a roof replacement I already knew who to call. They did not disappoint! Matt met the insurance adjuster at my property to establish a working relationship with me and the insurance company. Clear Choice negotiated adjustments with the insurance company and made the process easy for me. The roof installation went very smoothly (in one day) and looks great. I have had neighbors asking me who I used and I am always happy to recommend Clear Choice. It feels great to have a trusted roofer on speed dial - especially given the nightmares I have heard about fly-by-night roofing companies who are not actually locally-based. Clear Choice Roofing did an okay job. They have been extremely busy with all the work from the 2021 hail storm. While Mike Ludlow initially was attentive, they seemed to be overwhelmed with the work load. As best I can tell, their crews are all subcontractors and some crews are better than others. Took weeks to get gutters replaced and then the crew showed up without calling ahead and upset the tenant by peering in the windows at her. They just finished the paperwork--3 months since the contract was signed and two months since the roofs were replaced. Nice people but not sure I'd use them again. read more

This is an update to a previous positive review I wrote for this company. It is regarding a new contact I had with them where I had a special problem with one of my rent houses - specifically roof spraying for algae stains. Clear Choice doesn't do roof spraying, but they asked around and found useful referrals. They also cautioned me about what to look out for since roof cleaning can cause damage if not done carefully. My original review was about a roofing tearoff and replacement that I had done in December of 2013. I have done remodeling for over 25 years and I have seen every kind of roofing job so I know how to distinguish good from awful. These guys are VERY good. I note that there are only four reviews showing as "recommended" for Clear Choice roofing while there are 26 reviews languishing in the "not recommended" category on the hidden page, including my original review. Interestingly, every single one of those "not recommended" reviews are 5 stars except one which gives 4 stars. I recommend that people look at those extra reviews because they confirm the decency and diligence that I found with this roofing company. read more

Excellent, fast service. Courteous and professional. And they do great work! What more could you ask for? These guys installed a new roof for me back in 2010. They were fast and the price was good. Cleaned everything up really well, too. Yesterday, Austin got deluged and my roof started leaking so I called them up, talked with a very nice lady on the phone who then followed up to schedule her crew to come out and take a look. Turns out it was my fault for not getting the stupid leaves off the roof valley which caused the water to overflow the metal valley. Duh. Anyway, they cleaned off the leaves and made sure there were no holes or missing shingles (there were none) and were on their way. Gavin Weathersby is particularly awesome. I have had two experiences with Clear Choice Roofing, and both have been outstanding. I needed some flashing work done around my chimney the first time, and they did a great job for a very fair price. I was provided before/after pictures which was quite helpful. With my high roof and slope of it, I wouldn't have been able to tell whether the work was done right or not without the pictures. Needing another minor repair, I definitely called Clear Choice back again. They were out within a few days, and were able to resolve my issue quickly. During this second visit, I also had them give me an overall roof assessment. They said it looked good, and would last for several more years. Called Clear Choice because we had a hot water heater vent that was tilted over a bit. I didn't know if it was broken or would be a problem, so I called the company to check it out (and inspect our roof while they were over). Ruben came out and instead of pushing for us to replace the vent, he gave us the honest advice to just leave it and replace it in a couple of years when we re-plank our aging chimney siding. Then he noticed we had some old cables, from an unused Direct TV dish, hanging from our gutter. Without me asking, he volunteered to climb up on the roof and cut them down for us. This was not an easy job, and our roof isn't easily accessible. I was blown away. The cables are gone and I can rest easy that our roof is secure and not in need of any urgent repairs.
