My home was built without gutters, but we recently installed a rainwater storage tank and needed gutters to collect the rainwater from our roof. I called around and had a few estimates. They came out and explained the process, showed me samples and it seemed very professional. They are by no means the most affordable, but initially I was impressed by their professionalism. They quoted me two days of work and actually were able to do the work in one day. I will say the gutters looked beautiful and I honestly didn't even really notice them being there. I was concerned having no gutters before that it would detract from the look of the home, but they actually blended right into the roof and they are hardly noticeable. It was no problem getting scheduled and when they came out, they worked quickly and it was amazing to see it all get finished in one day. That was the good part. If you are going to have them do your gutters, you need to watch them the entire time. As they were installing and I walked around the house, I found several areas where the gutters extended beyond the roof (see photos) Although they had never told me they were going to do this before, and when I mentioned it, they did fix it but told me some water might "splash". This seems absurd since the gutters are meant to catch rainwater... which means it will be raining! So of course there is going to be water splashing. If I have the choice between a nice clean appearance and a little water splashing versus detracting from the clean lines of the house so I can catch an extra drop or two... I take the clean appearance. I am not sure how experienced they really are; They placed a downspout just inches in front of one of our security cameras. So now we have the piping coming from the downspout right in the field of view from the security camera. Why they didn't just move the downspout a few inches behind the camera is mind boggling. We had to hire someone to come out and reposition the security camera on our eave leaving a hole where it was originally. The worst was one of the downspouts cannot be used. We have a shed that is connected to the house, but has a roof that is significantly lower than the rest of the house. When the people came to connect the piping to the gutters that would feed into the tank, we were told this downspout was lower than the tank and could not be used and we would need the gutter people to come back and install just a regular downspout. But when I called and they came back out to review... they told me the minimum amount for a job is $900!!! Mind you, we spent over $7,000 for our gutters and they are going to gouge us for something that you can order the materials online for about $100. The person who came out said maybe they could do $600... but nothing lower. I tried to explain how this is something they should have identified when they were giving me a quote and installing. They knew all along this was going to be used to collect rainwater; so either they are inexperienced with rainwater tanks (but they told me they are very familiar) or..... what??? How did they not know this downspout which was so much lower than the roof was not going to be able to feed into the rainwater tank? The tank was already installed so it is something they easily could have realized and then put in the regular downspout at the same time as everything else. As a Veteran, I find it reprehensible when businesses won't acknowledge their mistakes and fix the problem. We did talk to a few other rain gutter businesses who were not as expensive and do just as good of a job. The gutters look good and seem to be working, but for all the problems, I would go with another company. read more

Tevo wrote up the estimate and it was much lower than one of the other companies we contacted and about the same price as one other company. What stood out about this company is that they have enough crews to get you scheduled very soon. The crew worked hard and did an excellent job of following directions and putting downspouts where we wanted them. The crew cleaned everything up before they left. I had 2 properties to have gutters added to and Rain Tech (Tavo and Edgar) were good to work with. Their quote didn't include any junk like extra warranties and their cost to go from 5" gutters to 6" gutters was very reasonable compared to other quotes I got. The installers shows up on time and worked efficiently. They even left a color booklet at my property so I could take the time to decide on the color on my own time. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the clean up job at both properties. I found nails and shards of metal all around both houses including my driveway. I guess that's the difference in price between Rain Tech and more expensive companies. They both do a good install, but more expensive companies stay longer and clean up the mess. Edgar gave a quote and Tavo does the scheduling and billing they both don't stay in sync and they damaged the roof with all broken tiles and don't inform about it until the insurance guy finds about it and the leaf protection which was charged didn't install in all the places they quoted me for. Fraud ppl and Company complained in BBB as well stay away from them. Contacted Rain Tech via their website. Edgar scheduled a free estimate the next day. He took the time to walk me through every step of the tear-down and install, followed by a demonstration of what each piece of the gutter did and looked like. Tavo got with me and confirmed Edgar's estimate and let me know they were ready when I was. A week after reviewing other local contractors (some of whom were much more difficult to reach than Rain Tech), I called up Tavo who scheduled our gutter replacement for the very next morning. On site, the three Rain Tech installers were friendly, professional, and courteous, and kept me in the loop throughout. I didn't need to check on them, but I did so out of curiosity. The end result was great, and exactly as Edgar had discussed during the initial estimate. I confirmed certain aspects with Tavo over the phone, and then handed payment over to the three installers, who cleaned up around the house, packed up, and headed off. I recently had gutters added to my 1970s house that didn't have gutters when I bought it. I'm really pleased with their work! I got 4 bids from different gutter companies, and theirs was the second lowest bid, but I went with them because they were responsive and seemed more attentive than the lowest bid. The two other higher bids were about twice as expensive and tried to upsell me on larger gutters, which I didn't need. I also didn't need a 15 year warranty that one was offering. I went with the priciest leaf screens so that I wouldn't have to deal with a lot of maintenance, and they extended the downspouts far from the foundation where necessary. I knew I wanted a house with FULL gutters so I wouldnt have any issues with drainage, erosion and overall foundation worries. They came out last week and installed a seamless half round gutter to match the front of the house and I went with the K-style to match the back. It was a team of 4 guys and they didn't waste time and took the old gutters off and installed the new ones. I had seams in my old gutters and it wasn't sloped right. As a result, I had leaky seams and the water poured over the gutters because of the slope. The gutters might as well have not even been there. Heavy rain last night and it's like night and day.
