I came here for the food walk, got a yakisoba & veggie spring rolls for $6. They also gave me a sample of sweet pork which is delicious!!

Used TooGoodToGo $6.67, brought my own container Very filling, yummy rice and duck and fish and noodles and veggies!! Thank you for feeding me

TooGoodToGo :) dropped by during lunch downtown. Flavors very good, leftovers you can tell bc it's a tad dry. Love the potions & variety!

TooGoodToGo :) dropped by my work lunch downtown. It was $6! Flavors very good. It is leftovers though so you can tell it's DRY! Common complaint is it's overcooked. The wings are super tiny and skinny, these birds much have been anorexic! The sauce on everything is delish though, umami flavors and heavy on the sauce. Love the potions & variety for the price! Service was friendly too. *BRING YOUR OWN CONTAINERS or they'll charge you $1 extra :) *

Unfortunately, this place shadows the other barbecue spots that reside closer to the main streets of Chinatown such as Kau Kau simply because of location. Because of that, I feel there's a need to consider the traffic flow which will definitely affect freshness among other factors. Owner (I think) is super nice and friendly. Older gentleman was very welcoming and accommodating. I see other reviews mentioning service is whatever so I think speaking Chinese definitely helped. It won't change the food or anything, but it's just nice to speak to people every so often. I've been looking for duck wings for a while for my mother but all the barbecue spots only sell the rest of the duck. Bummer but this spot also does not have duck wings. Their pork is pretty solid though. I thought it was tender and juicy but my friend noted it was too soft which felt weird. I think the value here is one of the best among the barbecue spots in the International District, price is low and you get a strong amount of food. Other places may have higher quality but they are definitely pricey in comparison so this is a nice budget spot. Yakisoba is pretty standard, nothing to highlight or comment on. The fried fish was pretty hard on the outside, potentially old, but the inside was tasty. If it were heated up more or fresher, I'm sure it would taste amazing but again, the traffic here isn't the best as it's a little out of the way from the majority of Chinatown restaurants.

This is close to a 3.5 rating but im rounding up because the bbq pork is pretty good I'm actually surprised at the low rating of this place as well as few reviews. I came here twice now and the first time I got a lunch combo. They gave a lot of food for under $8. It served me for both lunch and dinner! It's not amazing but it's still good. It was rice with some proteins and veggies. I recently came back to try some of there bbq meat and is pretty surprised. I got the bbq pork and the roasted pork. The bbq pork was flavorful, juicy and tender. It was actually better than kau kau ( we went to kau kau right after to try). The roasted pork was good, but not amazing. The skin was crispy but not super crispy and the flavor was balance. The price of the meat was very reasonable in comparison to the other bbq places in the area. It's not the cleanest place and service is not the best either, but it's tolerable

Ambience. C Service. A Food. C Price. A Found on Jackson and establishment has been around for decades. Not much for ambience. Food sitting in burner and they did have roast ducks and pork in window. Too bad storefront is hit by graffiti. Used a coupon app that "to good to go" app that allows to buy a lesser price so good doesn't go to waste. I had from 10:00 -5:00 to pickup. I had to bring my own takeout containers and bag. At 3:00 I was given over 2 lbs of fried rice , meat balls, pork and some stirfry veggies. Haven't tried yet... but just putting altogether didn't look appetizing. But I'm saving from the garbage or landfill.

I can understand why people would be a bit down on this place from a purely food served here standpoint. It's a relatively limited menu (though they've got some fun, colorful stuff) with a small seating area. Why the big five you ask...The meat! Stamp it, this place has the best roasted pork we've ever tasted! Crispy skin, roasted perfectly and with next level flavor...and they cut it up in front of you! We love markets in other countries as there's just something about pointing at roasted meat and them cutting it up with a huge knife! Such is the case here and thus our love of this gem of Chinatown! Roasted pork, BBQ pork, Chicken, Duck, and other magic animals blast their meat laden siren song first through the front window and then to your mouth as the crispy symphony sings with each bite! But seriously, the pork is good enough to take a couple pounds home. Sold by the pound, you get as much or as little as your little heart desires and should probably spring for an extra pound - you'll thank me later. Also, heat it up in the oven, it's worth the extra 5 minutes. Finally, we once saw a guy walking out with a whole roasted pig so we know it's possible! If you find yourself on S. Jackson, do yourself a favor and stop in!

My first try on the too good to go and have a surprise in the shop. Great value and huge amount of the content. This huge box is only 5.99 I really like the tender and juciy pork in it, it is not exactly in china but I kinda like the smell and texture, it is full of flavor

This is my go-to place for roast pork and salty chicken. I've been coming here for 3+ years. Why? The meats are juicy and delicious!!! I never dine in. And I never get anything else. Sometimes the workers are friendly, but they're also never rude. For the roast pork and salty chicken, it's a five-star experience every time. They also allow preorders for whole pigs; I saw someone pick one up.

Food: bbq pork tastes and looks okay. Acceptable Roast pork tastes ok but looks old and quite unappealing. Prices: a little stiff compares to other local places Service...... Needs lots of improvement

Asked for a lb he tried to sell me 2 lb then I ended up buying over a lb not even that good

I hate giving places bad reviews but this place was not great at all. Maybe it was an off day? Either way, I will not be back here. I walked in at lunch time on a Friday. Completely dead inside. They had it Chinese fast food style with all the dishes out under heat lamps. I asked the guy behind the counter in Chinese, "do you have cha sui pork?" He said yes they sell it by the pound. I asked for a pound, then he asked me if I wanted two pounds. No sir a pound already is too much, I do not need 2 lbs. Then he proceeds to overchop the meat and goes "oh it's over a pound is that ok?" Fine sir fine. $7.50/lb, I ended up paying $9. Guy tries to sell me a duck. No I do not want a duck! First off, with cha sui pork, usually it's sitting in the sauce stewing kind of from what I am used to. Then when a piece is sold, they chop it up for you and pour some sauce on it. not this place, it's hanging like they hang the BBQ ducks. So the meat wasn't even juicy. I got back to the office to eat it, and the meat was terrible. Seems like it has been sitting out overcooked for some time now. I am tempted to bring it back and ask for money back, but I don't want to go back on the bus towards Chinatown again. Point of my review is: the cha sui pork was dry, overcooked, and not good at all. About to toss out $9 worth of it. That does not make me happy.

Service is quick and straightforward. We ordered the pineapple bun with butter, mixed steak plate with black pepper sauce, and spare rib and chinese sausage clay pot. The pineapple bun was large, hot, and crispy with the sugary crust, although I wish the slab of butter was a bit bigger because it gets a little dry after you run out of butter. My boyfriend really enjoyed his mixed steak plate - it came with a pork steak and beef steak, steamed rice, and steamed veggies. The meat was fine but the real winner was the savory sauce! The clay pots take 20-30 minutes to cook which they tell you ahead of time, so be aware my boyfriend was about done with his food when the clay pot came out. This was a delicious classic dish reminiscent of the clay pots back in Hong Kong! I poured in a ton of sauce and it really gets absorbed into the hot rice and meat.
